I have been a fan of smartwool since 2009. I used to be a poor back backer and survived with only a couple of these socks. They are soft, warm, protected my feet from blisters, you can wear them a few times before washing and feet never sweat. AAND they last longer than any sock! Smartwool is the BEST sock brand in the world. Good for hiking or every day wear. The hike classic crew is by far my favorite spring/fall/winter sock!

These are my go-to socks as they are less expensive than other Smartwool models, they last years and are comfy as usual. The new version seem less "tight" than the hiking-specific ones, so keep that in mind if you prefer a snugger fit.

Smartwool socks have saved me on several hiking trips. Excellent quality and super comfortable. The socks do a great job wicking away moisture and as a result offer great odor control. I recently used mine in Zion National Park. I highly recommend these socks.

Wear these socks day in and day out. Hike in them, work in them, lounge in them. They're the best!

I purchased both the full and extra cushion hike crew socks, which allows me to adjust to current weather conditions. Both socks are comfortably padded and warm. I do prefer the previous product packaging/labeling (hiking, trekking, mountaineering), as this is clearer and simpler. Socks can wear out a bit rapidly, but nevertheless Smartwool socks are my favorite and I recommend them.

I've worn Smartwool socks for hiking for years and have loved them. They seem to have been redesigned recently with less cushioning, however, so if that is important to you, it might be a good idea to chat with customer service so you order the socks that are right for you. .Customer service at Smartwool is excellent.

Fell in love with this sock. Excellent cushioning all around the sock. My favorite sock during the fall and into the winter.

The socks are very well padded and the fit is perfect. I always wear Smartwool socks and I'm never disappointed.

Great for summer hiking or every day wear

Excellent quality sock that keep my feet toasty in hiking shoes at work. 4 stars instead of 5 because they are pricey. 4stars instead of 3 because of the quality.

I switched from my old ragg socks to Smartwool back in the 90s and have watched them change through the years. I'm concerned about the durability of the cuff design and the newest socks seem to have gotten slightly bigger and baggier even as my foot has grown from a size 10 to an 11.

My only issue with these is the sizing because of elasticity. They're extremely warm and comfortable, but I feel like I should have sized down even though I'm in the middle of the size range it seems like the extra padding combined with the fabric ratio makes it easier for them to stretch and bunch when worn more than once, which I typically do as these are my backpacking socks. #sweepstakes

I use this product with my Orvis wet wading fly fishing boot. Very comfortable and high quality!

I wear these with my trail hiking shoes and in my work boots. Comfortable, plenty of cushion during long days, and when my feet get wet, they're still warm. Thank you!

These are my all time favorite wool socks. I've used to wear them for backpacking, but this round will be all birkenstock winter wear. The last set of these that I finally got rid of were at least 10 years old and just a little too thin in the heal and toes. These #Smartwool classics are like a warm hug for your feet. #sweepstakes

Everyday use. Fit well, feel good and stay dry.

They're not as thick as they used to be. That would be my only complaint.
