soft and warm but wish they lasted longer and cost less

Great socks but not enough colors. One of the colors I needed was socks to go with light beige slacks. Couldn't get them so I had to settle for another poorer match.

Everyday wear. Very comfortable. The right size.

Xmas gift for grandson. He loves them.

I use these for my old hiking boots- up to now they have been thin enough, however these feel thicker. I still will use them because I have other footwear with which these will work! These never feel to kepp my feet at just the right temp, and socks like these keep my feet warm, even when there is a leak in my boot!

Very comfortable and soft. Fit well. Would give five stars if the content had more wool.

Everyday wear and hiking . Time will tell but don't appear to be quality of previous socks.

I use these everyday and replace 5 pairs every 2 years but this last set of 5 pairs already feel and look more worn down then my 2 year old pairs. They are thinner all around, don't stay put and a couple of them already have separations by the stitching. I don't know where the quality went but I know the price went up and they aren't what they used to be.

I ordered this pair of Hike Classic Light Cushion directly from SmartWool ,com. They are not the same quality product that SmartWool socks were 10 plus years ago. There is fuzzy threads showing on the outside of the socks along the seam line of the foot area. The fit is not as snug as the older socks were.

Socks were fine. I have some smart wool socks that aren't very thick. I thought they were the same kind but the ones I just received are padded on the sole and thicker than I'd like. I'll use them but maybe I'm better to buy from brick and mortar instead. Bummer

I'm a longtime user of Smartwool but am frustrated by this purchase. Not only doesn't the sock match the photo, but your people told me they don't expect it to. What's the point of having a photo if it doesn't match to the product photo or description? Yes, you have offered to let me return it but what's the point?

I love the other light cushion hikers but not a fan of the classic edition. I wish I'd seen these in a store before I bought online. I liked the simple colors but the sock is very different. These fit looser overall and your foot slides around. These are best for house lounging. I will stick with the modern version.

I ordered men's, Classic edition, gray, light cushion crew socks. They shipped unisex dark gray hiking liner. The size chart on the tag has men or women sizes. They seem to be well made, fit good and are warm. Not a fan of the fits all sizing though.

Too tall

I love the color and style but they run too big for me. I wear medium in the other Smart Wool styles and wear size 6 1/2-7 shoe. This style was too big. I passed them on to my sister in law that wears shoe size 8 and she loves them!

These used to be good but every time I buy after a few years the merino content has gone down. Only 56% now, vs 76% when I first bought. I'll buy other brands from here on out.

2010 sock: 76% wool, 23% nylon, 1% elastic. 2023 sock: 56% wool, 42% nylon, 2% elastic

The product has dropped in quality dramatically from what it used to be. I was disappointed but kept the socks and we'll see how they wear. Up until this time, they are the only socks that I wear.

I have worn Smartwool socks for hiking for years, but mine finally needed to be replaced. Ordered these only to discover that the width of the leg portion of the socks has been made so narrow that they felt binding even on my arms, so would be very uncomfortable on my legs. Had to return them.

These socks are comfortable and fit great, but are absolutely not durable at all. They wear through way to fast for the price and aren't worth it.

i have bought these socks for ages. Unfortunately, one of the pair i purchased failed to hem the top of the sock. Disappointing.

They fit much larger and have a looser weave than other smartwool socks I own. If you get the right sizing and want a camp sock they are fine, but definitely a let down otherwise

The crew section is way too short. The whole sock looks short and wide. The foot pad is too thin.
