Thrilled with this purchase! The jacket looks sleek and stylish but does indeed keep you warm and protected from getting wet. Has nice deep pockets for your hands, the jacket is long enough to keep your core toasty, and a big enough hood to cover your whole head and face, even with a layer underneath. Was excellent for my trip to New York and excited to continue wearing it this winter!

I really like this coat! It's very warm even in 20 degrees with strong wind. I don't care for the puffy look and this is very trim looking. The fabric has a nice finish without the shiny nylon look. I like the top opening pockets,they are quite roomy.The only way I might improve it is to make the hood removable and add an inside security pocket.

Not only is the Snow Down Parka beautiful, it is just as warm as the standard NF parkas from previous years. This parka has more give in the hips, but cinches nicely at the waist to give shape. People are complaining about the pockets (and I agree with their assessment regarding the awkward placement of the hand pockets at the breast), but I find them to be livable (and use the awkward breast pocket to store my mask when walking outside). I detest velcro with a deep and abiding passion, and thankfully this coat has snaps on the outer flap in case you do not want to zip the coatnice for running errands, etc. The hood is nicely shaped and does not feel overly floppy but also sticks out far enough to keep rain off of the face. Overall, this coat is perfectly warm for NYC/East Coast winters, has a nice shape for those of us with hips, and is a quality coat. I'm 5'8, 180lbs, pear shaped and the Large fits perfectly.

I really like this coat! I looked very carefully to get a coat that would be warm and stylish and this is! It has been in the 20's already and very windy and I've been warm! I don't care for the puffer look and this coat is a smooth finish fabric so you get a more tailored look.

Picked this up for my wife and she uses it everyday.

A warmer jacket. But not so warm that you are uncomfortable inside. Styling is very flexible. It does not need to look so athletic if you don't want. Love that you can shape at waist. Love the snaps. I don't bother to zip. Hood fit is wonderful. Enjoy!

I use this jacket in northern Idaho just about every day. Temperatures are in the 30s, snowy, rainy. This jacket keeps me completely dry and warm. Reaches down to my thighs. I am usually a S/M but went with a medium so that I could fit an additional layer if I need to. Also, the waist band makes this jacket look very feminine and fashionable for a night out.

I purchased this for myself and it is SO worth it! I got it a few weeks ago and two of my friends are already planning on buying the same coat. I keep getting compliments on it. It is so warm and the pockets are large enough to carry my phone, wallet, keys, hat, and gloves. The perfect length and texture. I don't even need to layer in this jacket. I could be wearing just a t-shirt and I am warm during my walks to class, even in the Michigan cold. This jacket surpassed my expectations and I know it's going to last me many years.

Winters in New England are tough - but this jacket is not only cute and flattering - it is also extremely warm. I love the small logo detail on the bottom as well as the draw string to define the waist and make it a bit more flattering!

This is for cold weather perfectly. I'm wearing everywhere like go to church,shopping,meet friends and go to meetings.It's very stylish and not that much look puffy. My daughter and friend also bought same one last year and they recommended it.

I absolutely love this coat ! I had my old north face for 3 years so it was time for a new one! I am so picky and I did some research before purchasing! I am so happy with my pick ! It is so warm! I am not cold or ever wet if it is raining! I would 10/10 recommend ! Must have, it is definitely a bigger coat! I don't love it for going out on the town it is a little to bulky, but for everyday it is perfect!
