This coat does run big, but it is an amazing coat to keep you warm. ND and -50 temps are no problem for this coat.

Husband try it on tonight and I ask him to go outside which tonight is freezing cold -9 and he told me he didn't feel cold at all my husband always get cold easy and he seem to really love it. Base on the other review before I purchase, reviewer says size is big I normally purchase my husband a medium but decided to buy a small and it fit well order one size smaller not extremely large you need extra room incase you wear a sweater or able to raise tour arm comfortably but not outrageously large my husband is 6ft tall and the length is perfect its's not bulky no'r heavy but good quality it seems like it would likely last a many winter to come

I returned 2 other jackets before I got this one, and you definitely get what you pay for and it's worth the extra money. I'm 6'4 about 225 with a lanky athletic build and finding jackets with the sleeve length i need is always tough. I typical would buy a XXL but after reading the reviews I went with a L and it actually fits very well. Glad I went with this one.

I live in the northeast so our winters can be bad at times but thus far this cost is amazing. I must admit you need to purchase this coat one size down because it's big. Otherwise it keeps you warm in cold weather. Again but it one size smaller than your normal size.

Design (+) a plus
Comfort (+) a plus
Only deficit is that it's heavy. But that's what you expect from a parka. Does it job, keeping me warm.
Bonus: Made from recycled materials. Go North Face!

Proud owner of McMurdo Parka. I go back and forth to upstate NY and I am glad I purchased this jacket to keep myself warm. It does what it supposed to do, to keep you warm and dry. I highly recommend it and trust me it will be your best friend on cold and rainy days.

Yes, this parka runs a full size big but if you're not aware, oversized garments are making a comeback. I had to buy it twice to get the fit I wanted but it was worth. It would be the best parka TNF has ever made save for the fact they didn't give it any hand warmer pockets on either side of the parka, so you have to use the cargo pockets for your hands. The zipper sticks a little, but it's a nice heavy-duty zipper and it may simply need some breaking in. I wish the fur ruff were real, but the fleece lined hood is a nice touch. All in all it's still the best McMurdo Parka they've ever made and I own 5 different versions.

I'm not a mountain climber or inclined to go to the Arctic circle. I just like warm, weather resistant jackets that require no layering. The original jacket was too big but the North Face helped me with getting a smaller size. This jacket is waterproof, heavy weight and very high quality. I have been a North Face user for decades and this is the parka to own!

Extremely warm Parka! It's very large I'm 6'1" 190lbs and the medium is big on me. I would recommend going at least 2 sizes smaller than you normally would wear for a perfect fit!

Excellent! Extremely warm while hiking in -27 snowy conditions. So warm that the straps on the inside became very useful to keep me from sweating when we really got moving.
