I use the NB 990v5 shoes mainly for walking and everyday wear. But I needed something comfortable and all black for church, date nights with my wife, etc. So far, the Fresh Foam 860v12 fits the bill perfectly! Although I've only had them for about a month, they are good looking and comfy with great support, not too different from my pricier 990's. I also needed a 1x wide shoe which is very hard to find in all black, but the 860's check that box, too.

I have been getting NB 990 shoes for the last three pairs, but this time I ordered these and they are great. My 990's were worn out and these were nice to my feet when I walk, I do over 10 miles a day so they do wear out. I love these shoes and the color is good too.

I wear these as general walking shoes. I have found this style works best for me. Great shoe. Thanks.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of 860s. Each pair is 13 wide. This is the only pair that is tight on the big toe and side of my foot. The shoe looks thinner when comparing to the older shoes.

Wore the shoe about the office for 4 hours before embarking on the first run. Only completed 2 km and felt comfortable, supportive and light. May the runs continue. Plenty of people commented on how good the shoe looks.

Just purchased these for mostly walking around on the weekends. Very comfortable and nice looking design. I bought 2 pairs.

The shoes are, as usual, great. I have been buying New Balance shoes for more than 50 years. I remember my first pair of cross-country shoes with the jaggy soles and saddle-shoe-like uppers. I only have two comments and no complaints: First: I often find that by the time I need to replace a New Balance shoe the shoe model I like so much has been discontinued. Perhaps you should allow buyers to indicate that they will be buying this shoe forever if available. Second: For a given size and width specification the shoe lasts are very different. I where a 7.5 4E. Not all 7.4 4Es are alike! Perhaps you could name or number the shoe lasts on the description so returning customers could tell what they will be wearing.

Great toe box room and shoe stability makes this shoe a winner.C

I am older and have knee problems. I got these shoes to provide a ton of softness to protect my knees. These did just that. My problem is that they heel did not fit well, and the back of my foot floated around. I'm going to see what sort of New Balance has softness, but a firmer fit. I felt as If I was walking on soft jello. Good for my needs, but not as stable as I would have liked.

Many years ago, a Division I athletic trainer told me that since I run I should buy a new pair of running shoes each year. He suggested New Balance. I've followed that advice for, now, probably 25 or 30 years. I run about twice a week - not long distances; maybe 2 to 2.5 miles each time - and have had zero issues with feet, ankles, knees or hips. I'm 75 and hope to continue to run - and purchase a new pair of running shoes - for a bunch of years to come. My only slight issue with the shoe is it tends to be a little warm in the Summer months.

4E is too narrow across ball of foot and toe box is too low and small. Not made in 6E

They are very comfortable. I walk a lot and the New Balance are able to keep up with me.

I need the extra wide fit for my feet. Excellent fir and very comfortable to run in.

Returned them - they were not as advertised. Supposed to be great on the feet with the new foam - they weren't. Could not tell the difference from their previous shoes.

I really like this shoes as they are extremely comfortable and light. The material is very flexible.

Ordering your shoes in not only the length but also the width that's just right make New Balance the shoe for me.

I work 12hr shifts in a hospital, and I've been using these shoes for a few years now and each newer version is better than the last. Extremely comfortable and durable, I just wish I would have ordered a half size larger than usual as they seem to run small for me, causing rubbing on the outside of my foot. Wore them in the hospital a few times, so I don't think returning is possible! With that being said, if you get the perfect size, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Ordered on line and shoes were small in length and width and had to be returned which was a inconvenient when the online return e-process would not send return shipping label, and had to wait until it was sent by courier. Found same size in store and it was a much better, more regular fit. I would suggest not purchasing online given the unpredictably of sizing.

Wonderfully comfortable and supportive shoes. Love the new foam soles.
