These provide good stability as well as good cushioning. They are a definite upgrade from the 860v.11.

I use my 860's for cross training at the gym. They are comfortable and offer good support. I ordered them online and returned them to a NB retail store because they were too narrow and tight. I bought the same 860 but with a wider fit.

I am a nurse and am on my feet constantly for 8-12 hours a day. These shoes allow me to work and my feet don't hurt afterward. Excellent buy.

Had the 860v11 and loved the feel under foot. The heel fit was good but I wasn’t wild about the material used.
The v12 is a HUGE improvement in that aspect. Fits like a traditional shoe but has the high back on the heel. My heels feel locked in place and not uncomfortably so. These are still incredibly comfortable with the changes. Outstanding shoe.

My podiatrist strongly recommended the NB 860 series. I love the new style that came out. The NB 860 shoe line wears well over time. It is the only sneaker I will by now.

The shoe strings are too short, and I have to tighten the strings just to tie them, which creates a tight fit. They also don't stay tied. So now I have to purchase new shoe strings just to wear them.

Fir well enough, but unfortunately I ordered them a half size too small. I seem to be between sizes, and this shoe was on the smaller end by just enough as to be uncomfortable over longer distances.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, New Balance, and still Asics.

The fit was great and I really like the style. It can be really difficult to find stylish and comfortable shoes I'm my size. This was definitely a great buy.

style is a little dated. The toe box seems narrow for a EEEE. Barely enough shoestring to tie. Overall the quality is OK but a little off from what I would expect from NewBalance

I started running in the 860 shoes years ago. It's the right combination of stability and cushion for me.
I bought this pair to get back into running after a health condition sidelined me for nearly three years. So far I'm doing walk-jog workouts and this shoe is holding up great.
