The color is bluer in person than I expected. I pictured the shoes to be more muted/ grayish but overall decided to keep and glad I did! I went with the wide fit. Love how many sizing options NB offers. Cute shoes. Super supportive.

Great support. Wide toe box. Fits without much need for breaking shoe in at all.

I've had theses sneakers for over a week now and I'm in love with them. I haven't had to put in extra support at all. I'm on my feet 15 hours a day and they have held up thus far.

I think they look better online than in person though, and prob run a little snug.

Comfortable enough to work on your feet for 10 hours

Fits great. No breaking in required. Fits perfect the first time I wore them. This is my favorite shoe I own.

I was looking forward to the 840v5 since I have been wearing the women's 840v4 for several years. I am hard to fit and the v4 worked well for me. I was told that the v5 would fit exactly the same and I was very disappointed. It was uncomfortable and just didn't fit well on my foot. So I had to return it. My feeling is that " if it 'ain't broke don't fix it."

I've bought 840v3 and 840v4, and I've been wearing this version for almost 5 years. I was disappointed to find these shoes are about a half size smaller.

I wish I could say they were great. Ive had walking shoes from NB for 15 years and never a problem. This was the fourth pair I ordered lately and thought they would work. They put my toes to sleep and they are the same size I've always worn. I wish I hadn't worn them outside so I could have returned. Oh well.

I have major issues with my flat feet. These sneakers accommodate my very aggressive orthotics, have a generous toe box and are supportive and comfortable. I just ordered another pair in black.

I need a supportive walking shoe in a EE or WW width to accommodate bunions and a Morton's neuroma. It's sometimes difficult to find shoes that I like in the extra wide width. These shoes are extremely comfortable and, although they are running shoes, I understand that running shoes are suitable as walking shoes (although the reverse might not be true). I also appreciate that the shoelaces are elasticized which make it easier to tie the laces securely without having to resort to double knots! Of course, New Balance is always recommended by my podiatrist.

I have awful feet and these sneakers are the only thing that I can wear. They are long lasting, supportive, and we'll cushioned.

Everyday work shoes. Comfy, great new colors. Nice toe box too.

Very comfortable and pretty. Lot's of compliments on these. Recommend them to those who need comfort while walking or exercising.

The toe box and heel are generous enough for my custom orthotics. I'm not quite sure what's different about v5 but it works for me. It actually feels better with my orthotics in than the insole it came with because I was getting some rubbing from the inner aspect of the heel collar where it meets the tongue.

Finely a shoe that fits, just had a foot operation and needed a wider shoe.

These shoes have helped my feet immensely! I feel like I am walking on air!

I ordered them because they came in size 13 which is rare and I liked the looks of them. Very comfortable, perfect as work shoes for me.

The only problem I have is there tighter than other new balance sneakers. Hoping there feel better after a few days .

This is the 3rd time I've purchased this same model sneaker. It has a great fit with lots of steady support. My ankle and foot feel very secured and balanced in this shoe. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes a very stabilizing sneaker.

These shoes are very well made and very comfortable. They look very nice. I like the back and green color combo.

The toe box is smaller. There is more padding around the ankle and tongue which is chunky and uncomfortable.

The heel portion is overly padded and the ankle area dug into my foot. I have worn 840s for the last few years because of the wide toe box and great support, but I chose to return these. Not an improvement over the 840-4s.

Wear everyday . Comfortable and great support. Just prefer the darker gray color.
