I'm a kitchen manager and I need no slip shoes for work. These are great! Comfortable and stylish and safe. That's key.

I'm a 10.5 regular width and bought these in my normal altra size, 11 regular width at a local retailer. The toe box is ample and they look sleek! Would love to have them in white leather, please altra consider making these in white!!!!!

I wear this for my job in food service, in which I am on my feet constantly. I have flat feet and have had a lot of issues with my ankles, and these totally support me. However, these shoes only lasted about a year and a half before the bottom began to fall off, and now there is barely any traction. I love these shoes so much and want to buy another pair, but I wish for that price they held up a little better.

This is one of my favorite work shoes. I wear them in my work as a server. But I am so sad that the bottom sole started to come off and flap in different areas. I own three pair of altras and this is never happened except for with my black leather ones.

I bought these in a 6.5 wide, I've had several pairs of Altras and always recommend getting a half size up from what you normally wear. I'm a bartender, so the waterproof shoe and nonslip sole are perfect they are extremely comfortable and great for restaurant work and minimal for pain. I'm only leaving 4 stars because they wore out and the bottom part of the sole wore out very quickly. They only lasted 3 months I have other pairs of Altras I've had much longer and worn to work more that are still going strong I will probably buy again just because of the waterproof feature, but I'm very disappointed that they fall apart so quickly compared to other styles I have that aren't waterproof.

I knocked off a star due to the unavailability of Wide widths in Grey. I LOVE my black Altra Torin Leather walkers and finding a Women's size 12 Wide was AMAZING. You have NO idea! Wanted a grey pair. Couldn't understand why there were no Wide ones in any size. Why? I have been checking back and back to see if the Grey gets stocked in Wide, to no avail. So I resorted to an 11 men's but again, there are none in Wide width either. So frustrating. I will have to send those back.

Just returned from a one-week tour of New England where I wore them every day. Hiked up to waterfalls; walked through small towns. Wish the laces were a bit longer.

They fit fine, they were advertised as leather so I expected fine leather stitching and attention to detail plus that great leather feel and smell. These shoes have a design stamped into some kind of plastic fake leather, lined with some kind of glued in fabric and then attached to your excellent soles. They just look like cheap grey shoes, I am using them to walk my dogs early in the mornings and late at night when I won't be seen by anyone.

Almost $600.00 & 3 pairs in, I think I have found the perfect pair of work shoes for me! So far, they're light & comfortable. All of the sore spots from the other shoes are healing!

I use this shoe all winter. I have 5 pairs of various Altras and am so grateful to have found them after podiatry surgeon's recommendation. After Morton's neuroma surgery twice on one foot and complications, Altras are the only shoe I can comfortably wear. So grateful for the wide toe box and normal (narrow) heel. Need more leather options for rain and cold weather! Sole is a bit too soft, walking on stones or uneven paths can feel uncomfortable and make ball of foot sore (for me). Would love to see a more supportive sole, and more leather options.

I ordered these shoes for kitchen work. Though the tread is slip resistant, they did not hold up to wet floors and oil too well.

I have many pairs of Altra. I liked the Intuition especially because my first 3 toes are the same length and Intuition was perfect and wide. I actually bought 2 pairs of Intuition and dyed on pair for a more dressy shoe. But then your shoes became narrower and pointed at the toe. This shoe fits in a half size smaller and wide. The toe is still too pointed but it's the only thing I can find!

Why Not have these in white too? Please Altra!!!

I work in healthcare and am on my feet most of my work day. My job requires leather shoes for safety, which led me to buy these. They barely lasted a year before the soles wore down and the inside ripped. I had hoped for the price they would've lasted longer. I wouldn't recommend for work or daily wear.

Definitely Altras first foray into work shoes.... I love Altras. They really need to work on their non-slip Factor. I had the same issues with the waterproof shoes this summer in Alaska!! If it's wet you have no traction!!! Very dangerous!! I was also disappointed with the lace length as you could barely tie the shoes with them laced all the way!! I hope a new iteration comes out soon with better engineering!!

Big fan of the Torin 8s. Decided to try the leather model because I can wear them to work-- easy to clean. However, they are too tight across the widest part of the shoe! I figured out the tight spot is right at the bottom stitching part of the tongue area- it is straight and rigid and makes a nasty pressure point. Big difference between these and the fabric Torins. They have stretched out a tiny bit, but are still distinctly tight in that one spot. Also: they squeak. I dislike that in a shoe.
