I visited a podiatrist who complimented me on my Altra shoes, so I purchased another pair (my third). They are all so comfortable, even for long periods of standing or walking. These are leather, so they are more wind- and water-resistant than the mesh. I wore them yesterday for a full day on my feet outside, and I think my feet owe me a thank-you note!

These are the type of shoes you can put on and wear the first day for hours. No need to break in they become your foot's best friends, despite corns. They have worn well, look good, and have weathered walking, hiking, gardening, and shopping. A comfortable and good-looking shoe.

Pretty dead on for sizing. Using as my medical office shoe as I’m on my feet for 10-12 hrs a day. Very comfortable.

I love Altras but have narrow feet and they are wide. Usually I can just wear thick socks, but these were a good 1/2” wider than my other pairs so my feet were swimming and it made them look even more disproportionate in the forefoot than normal Altras. I tried a siate down but too short and still too wide. I wish Altra would make a narrow or even normal medium width for those with narrow feet. I was excited to finally find an all black leather pair I could wear to work and for travel so am disappointed they don’t work.

LOVE THIS SHOE - it came to my rescue. Soft, lightweight and minimal heel/toe drop. I considered a larger size and then kept the shoe I had after breaking them in. Very grateful to find Altra. Another reviewer noted duck feet - yes that is me too. I have flexible flat feet and also an injury. These shoes are forgiving and accommodate my orthotics. And even my "just so" mom of a certain age said that despite the unusual shape (i.e. shaped liked a natural foot) they don't look too weird when they are on, practically raves. Thank you Zappos for amazing service always and for having this shoe in wide sizes. Wide is wonderful.
