I bought the shoes because I supposed was slipping resistance for my waitress job but it was no enough.

I really love these leather Torins for work As they look a little dressier than your typical Running shoe. However, every pair I have had, I have encountered the same issue. If you are wearing them on carpet, the edges of the soul get caught and tear. I think they would be great for a different work environment.

I just bought these. It has only been 3 weeks and already the tread is pulling away from the shoe. It is a shame because the shoes are really comfortable and they saved my hip & knee issues which developed from heel to toe drop shoes.

I bought a pair of the Torin 5 in wide a few years ago and they worked really well for me. It is time to replace them so I recently bought a pair in gray and black in the same size and width that I previously purchased. They arrived today and I am very disappointed. They are no where near the same width or size as the first pair I bought. They squeeze the top of my foot and my big toe hits the end of the shoe. Why change what worked? You can see in the photo that the new shoe on the right the toe box is shaped differently.

I'm so sad to return these because they are incredibly comfortable, but I slip and slid all over the place at work whole wearing them. I've tried a couple days, but I'm going to get hurt on regular tile. I've tried walking through BOH at a restaurant and was so worried I was going to fall. I'll have to go back to my kitchen crocs which aren't nearly as comfortable, but they are safe. I hope they make updates to the sole in the future because I'd try again with a truly slip resistance bottom.

THESE SHOES ARE NOT SLIP RESISTANT!! Found this out the hard way the moment I set foot into my restraint job's floor. However, shoes are freaking heavenly, I love altras, I have like 4 pairs. They are super comfortable. I REALLY WISH THEYD MAKE AN ACTUALLY SLIP RESISTANT VERSION :'(

This shoe is as ugly a shoe as I have ever seen. Even the old SAS were more attractive. But that is fine if it did what it said. But is it not slip resistant as labeled. Not at all SR!!!!

Poor quality on that shoes

The 7W Torin is a great shoe for me. Tried the 7 and even had my local repair person stretch it more. But I need the Wide shoe and would like it in both offered colors. Have worn my current ones so much that the soles are getting used up. They are great shoes. Please bring these back.

I work in Corrections and I am on my feet sometimes pulling over 70 hours a week on concrete. Literally, I have worn over 8 different brands of shoes and nothing has been comfortable. I don't have crazy, weird feet or anything but I do have 1 foot that's a whole size bigger than the other. These shoes have been amazing right out of the box. I'm hoping that they last.

I wear these daily for work. I can wear them all day without any fatigue on my feet. They are water resistant and protect my feet when i'm walking in wet weather. My toes have room to move and stretch and the shoes are flexible for all of the squatting , stooping and other maneuvers I need to make during my work.

I bought these shoes to use for long walks during the colder months, and they have not disappointed. My toes tend to stay cold/numb when the temp drops and I needed a good shoe that kept them warm without going the boot route. These are perfect and I'm already wanting to purchase another pair.

I have problems with my feet hurting after I am on them for a long time and these are the first pair of sneakers that I can stand in all day without pain in my feet! Even long walks aren't painful anymore.

I've been having trouble with my feet and have an on-my-feet service job. I have tried SO MANY pairs of shoes! I didn't think these would work, but I decided I would try them. What did I have to lose? I did add some Birkenstock arch supports, and these shoes are now my very favorites! I can walk without a limp. My back doesn't hurt. My hip doesn't hurt. I can walk when I get home from hours on my feet. And the bonus is the shoes are also non-slip and spill-proof. Wow! I was wearing size 10 support shoes with a custom orthotic insert. I found that a 9 1/2 was the best size in my Altra shoes. You better believe I will buy these shoes again. Thank you so much!

I wear these to walk and run errands and feel like I'm walking on clouds. The color is wonderful!

My feet love these hideously ugly big black shoes, and therefore so do I. They were as comfy as slippers right out of the box. I just returned from a 10 day trip where these were my only shoes. They look heavy, but aren't. They don't make my feet overheat. They don't soak through if they get a little bit wet. I hope they last a really long time.

I have the shoe in black and gray and would buy it again but you can't seem to make it in women's 7W anymore. I check pretty regularly and you have it in the regular size. the 7W fits me well and gives great support with plenty of room in the toebox. When will you have the Women's Torin 5 Leather in size 7W again? I have foot issues and it works great for me. So? Again, when will you have it in stock? Right now, you have nothing in this shoe in wide for women. Surely you make it wider for men. So, please, help.

Love these shoes. Love Altra's. My flat feet feel right at home in this type of neutral footbed. I now own three pairs of Altra shoes, and these are the most comfortable.

These are my go-to winter shoes for every day wear. I'd like to get a second pair, but can't find them in my sizewomen's 9 wide. And there are fewer Altra wide size options than ever before. For the past 6 years, for me that has been a signature benefit of Altrasa really roomy toe box for comfort and fit. What's going on?

Best work shoes I've ever splurged on for myself. I'm a bartender and have neuromas in my feet that can be quite painful so good shoes are a must. I love the wide toe box and the heel fits my narrow feet so no flopping. Will definitely get another pair when these are done.

I have to wear leather shoes at work on concrete floors. I walk 15,000 to 20,000 steps per day. I tried every boot and shoe, but this is the only one that does not cause me pain in my feet or my damaged knee. Other shoes do not fit. Other shoes have a heel that aggravates my knee. These look like they might be getting clearanced out. The mens have limited sizes. I hope there is a replacement coming out. Would love sandals with the same fit.

I use them walking, including on concrete and asphalt. They are very comfortable. They are my fifth pair of Altras.

I'm on my feet all day working in a restaurant kitchen. I've had 3 pairs of these shoes, they are literally the best and most comfy shoe I've found for standing all day. My feet used to ache all day in every other shoe, but these are so cushy!
