Love it. The best ever.

I've had this shoe for over a year and they're still super comfortable. I work in an industrial setting and more than 1 person have asked if they're steel toe shoes. I laugh and tell them no, they're just super comfortable. They may not look the best with the wide toe but I don't buy shoes for how they look. I am very rough on my shoes and although parts of the shoe, mostly around the ankles, have not held up, the cushioning and sole have. I just went on a 7.5 mile hike last Saturday and wear them to work every day. Will buy again for sure!

Broke in the shoes with a 30 mile overnight hike, comfortably. Go-to town hill training shoe. Adjectives include: supple, grippy, and stylish! I will replace in-kind when it wears out. Please replicate with a sticky rubber mountaineering shoe, I'll buy it as the new standard!!! -J

I use as a casual walking shoe

used for a little running, but mostly general use

Bought one pair for work... on my feet 12 hours a day, up and down ladders, stairs and crawl spaces... and one pair for Rucking. THIS is how a shoe should fit and feel!!! Bravo! It took a day or so to get used to the difference in feel but it's like walking on air. I actually bought them because a fellow I followed along the AT used them and said they were amazing. That's 2100 miles. Good enough review for me.

plenty of room for wider feet.

Great comfortable shoe that is stylish and very comfortable! I will use for both recreational and semi formal wear since they are so comfortable. Would strongly recommend the Altra brand for anyone that needs the wider toe area!!!

I use this shoe as an all day shoe and it is great for it! If you are looking to get into zero drop I highly recommend this shoe. I had knee and lower back issues for years and unfortunately it took me awhile to figure out it was coming from regular shoes that have a normal drop to them. Since switching to Altra my back and knee pain has stopped!

Wasn't sure about this show initially as it wasn't Altra's traditional offering. But after slipping it on and going from the office to the Flatirons, I knew I had a new friend. Not only do they look great the functional like an old trusty belay partner. Comfy, stylish and functional.

Living at the Ocean Front the LP Alpine is my new daily wear shoe. Whether it is wearing as an office shoe, a casual dinner date, walking the boardwalk, or walking the trails at First Landing State Park, this shoe handles every situation with style, comfort, traction and durability. The wide roomy toe box allows your foot to spread out and relax. The Altra EGO system provides the perfect amount of cushioning to protect the entire sole of your foot from rocks or stones yet allows you to "feel" the surface that you are walking on. It also seems to provide a subtle spring to your step that no other shoe that I have worn has provided... it's hard to explain, yet it is very perceptible when you walk and it really is an enjoyable feeling. In closing, I am not young and I am bone against bone in both knees. I have been looking for a pair of shoes that will allow me some form of comfort while allowing me to be somewhat active. I have found that pair of shoes in the Altra LP Alpine! I am amazed at how good my knees and feet feel after wearing these shoes all day long!!!

My spouse wears a size 13.5 eeewide shoe, with a very high arch. He has lots of damage to his feet for various reasons, and his toes are especially tender. I've worn Altra for years now, but couldn't find them long enough with a high enough toe box, until these! I bought a pair in the buff from the website, just to see if they fit. But he loved them so much, he would not let me send them back! And he bought another pair in black for himself from another site. He says these are the first shoes he has ever had that don't hurt his feet. Even with his inserts, there is plenty of room for his arch. These are the original fit of Altra and plenty wide. Plus, his foot looks very nice in them--not clumpy--and he wears them everywhere--his shop, for walks, to parties. I'm so glad Altra is making tall mens' shoes!

Need more colors

Bought these for hiking, then realized once they came in that I do a lot of hiking on the golf course. Playing out of the woods just got a lot comfier.

Great shoes very comfortable out of box

Awesome casual shoes that dress up nicer then my regular lone peaks and timps. Some of the past versions of Altra shoes I've had have had mixed sizing but these work really well for me.

My wife and I are long time Altra wearers and she bought a pair of the Alpines and LOVED them instantly. I bought mine off of her recommendation and LOVE them. Perfect for a walk or just kicking around the town in.

Very comfortable full foot shape. Gonna order another model of Altra.
