I have some health-related issues that make it very difficult for me to stay warm on my winter runs. I bought these pants in a small (I usually wear an extra small) to wear over a thin pair of running tights and capture air to keep myself warmer. They are fantastic. The warm, flocked type lining keeps the warm air close to my body while my thin tights wick away moisture. By sizing up, I have enough room for layering, but the tapered cut doesn't make me feel like I'm running in pants that are too big for me. If you want to wear them alone, I'd stick with your normal size as I think they are true to size. These pants have made it possible for me to run in the cold again, and I am so thankful for this Brooks product.

Bought for running outdoors, sized up to an xl so I could comfortably were leggings underneath if needed. Probably didn't need to size up have plenty of room. I'm 5'5 190 pounds. These are the perfect softness and SO comfortable. The ankles are snug but wasn't an issue for me.

I love it. Perfect size for me, warm and VERY conferrable. For me they are almost to good to use them for running. My new favorite pair.

Another pair of pants that double as work and workout pants. So warm and so comfy. They hold up great on runs. Very thick material that doesn't look too casual if you work in healthcare like me.

I live in a windy Northeastern coastal town and these are amazing! I don't feel any wind when wearing them. Very comfortable waist. Great ankle length for winter. When I first put them on, the ankle parts stretched out and I was afraid they wouldn't be snug and cold would get in but they're great. Nice pockets, nice look overall. I am 5'7, 160 lb and got a large.

Yes it is warm! It does its job! However, these are not made for women wtih curves. I am petite, less than 5'1, 32,26,37.5. These pants fits well in the waist but, too tight on my hip, it somehow limited my range of motion. Cannot return now, so I will just give it away.

My new go-to for winter running. These are comfortable, warm, and very flattering! I live in MN where it gets quite cold and these are comfortable as a single layer down to about 0 degrees F.

Great pants for running with a little rain or chilly weather. Love the zippered pockets to hold keys and phones that seem to be lacking in a lot of women's running pants. Tapered leg is great. The only complaint is that it only has two color options.

I use these pants daily during the cold winter months. I layer them over a pair of tights to help hold in my heat. These pants do well with blocking the cold wintry winds and repelling water on snowy or rainy days. I like that there are 2 pockets with zippers to store anything I need to bring with me. I would definitely recommend these!

I love these pants in cold weather. Very comfortable and warm. If temps are less than 10 degrees will also wear a pair of tights but overall, these keep me warm in cold temperatures. Quality is excellent and they wash like a dream. Highly recommend!

Warm on a cold, windy day with windchills in the 20s. I would expect they would keep me warm in colder temps too. Stayed up even when running with my phone in the pocket. Like how they feel too. Would buy another pair!

These are pretty sick pants though, SUPER soft on the skin and just roomy enough for lounging in - keeping me toasty warm in my chilly house. I live in Montanan and I'm SURE they'll keep me nicely warm on a winter run too. My only gripe is the side pocket zippers - the zipper pull is too scratchy?! What an odd little detail but I LOVE having the nice deep zipper pockets. I'm 5'2" / 135lb and bought a medium.

Best active winter pants ever! I live in these for walking and running in the winter months.... in SC, so not crazy cold. Please make more colors!
