Warm and comfortable. I wanted an alternative to tights for cold-weather running and liked these so well that I bought two more pairs. The waist is higher than Im used to, but that is not a problem. I am 52 and about 130 lbs, small fits well. I like them for running and hiking, and I have actually even worn them around the house. Make sure to remove the long tagI didnt and had some very uncomfortable chafing.

I love almost everything about these! The material is amazingit insulated without being too hot. Ive worn these on runs when the temp started at 28 degrees and then ended at 40 degrees and they were perfect the whole time. My only issue is that my 53-year-old body shape has shifted to be a bit thicker in the middle than it used to be, so the elastic is a tiny bit tight around the belly. But it isnt uncomfortable, so Im keeping them!

These pants were warm and comfortable. I especially like how they werent tight, so I felt like I had some wiggle room especially around my knees.

Amazing pants. They fit comfortably- not too tight, but not baggy either and they stay in place on long runs. Ive never found cool/cold weather running bottoms that work so well. Im going to get several more sets in the next sale. I highly recommend them!

These pants are very warm and quite comfy! I?m 5?5?, 145lbs, got size M, and I?d say they?re pretty true to size. The wide waistband is a little tight but not TOO tight - just tight enough so the pants don?t fall down when you?re running, and the legs are a bit roomier than I typically like but look good (not baggy). The material feels comfy but thick and durable. I ran in mid 30s-40 degree temps and was a bit too warm in these. I?m excited to have them in the rotation for 10-20 degree mornings. The last feature worth noting is the pockets are deep enough to actually carry things, and zip closed so nothing will fall out, which I really appreciate. Overall, I?m really happy with these.

As someone who values being able to exercise outside even in chilly conditions, I really appreciated these thermal pants. They keep my legs warm even when it?s cold and windy, and the material is soft to the touch. I also really loved the hidden zippered pockets. Having zippers is great so things don?t fall out while running. I was happy that the waistband stayed in place while running, but it could?ve been a little more comfortable. The feeling wouldn?t cause me not to wear them though. I would definitely recommend these pants to my fellow workout buddies.

These thermal pants have a great snug fit that is stylish and functional. I am usually a size 6, sometimes 8, and the mediums are just fitting- a tiny bit tight at the waist so if you prefer loose fit size up. I love how they feel for running and just all day wear. We?ve had some chilly mornings and they are my new go-to, they are definitely warmer than my regular workout leggings. The only thing I?d change is the waistband to make a bit wider and flexible but I haven?t had a problem wearing them all day long. I?ll definitely be reaching for these from cool to cold morning runs through the fall winter and spring.

I adore these pants. I listened to the advice in other reviews and purchased a size down. They are good everywhere, but the waist seems proportionally smaller. I still wear them almost everyday.

Purchased XL (5'5"; 165lbs). Very roomy in the hips, tight in the calves. The elastic ankle cuffs pop when stretched, making me think the elastic is shot straight out of the bag. Time will tell. Pants fabric is nice though.

Very nice running pant but I expected them to be warm and they are not at all. The cut is a bit different (not very flattering) too but they do move well when running.

Overall, these are super soft and comfortable, and a good weight with a relaxed fit suitable for layering over shorts before and after cold weather runs. The ankles however are too snug. They need to be stretchier, or zippered so that they can be quickly and easily pulled on or off.

I'm still looking for the perfect winter pants...why is it that men can find what I think of as "wind pants"--loose enough to fit over your winter leggings and protect from the winter winds. If such a thing exists, I've not found it. At any rate, these have some wind resistance, but they do not fit loosely enough to wear another layer underneath. The "thermal" part of these pants is somewhat warm, but not quite what I wanted. I'm probably keeping them, but hey, Brooks, if you're listening, how about some women's wind pants???

Don't fit properly in my size. I am determining how to return them now.

The waste band chaffes something awful. It has a thick seam that sticks out where it meets the pant legs and, despite how tight the waste band is, managed to rub all my skin off my low back during the first run in them. While I thought they'd be ideal because they had a drawstring to keep them up, the construction makes them very painful.
On the plus side, these pants are very warm, so the two stars are for being otherwise perfect for that purpose, if not quite comfortable for running,

I'm so sad to say that these Brooks pants just don't cut it. They run tight and hit high on my tummy. I felt like a sausage, not flattering :( I'm 5'4" and 140lb mom of two. They were sort of comfortable on the legs, because they are soft but the band was just right in the middle of my "mommy" tummy and it didn't feel enjoyable. I do like the small zipper available on them. I'm sure I'll be wearing these more on my laundry days!
