The Endorphin Shift 2 is tougher on my ankles.. I have a weak left ankle probably from running on the left shoulder of the roads for years. The Ride 14 was perfect. The Shift 2 stressed the ankle so that it was sore after a few miles.
Other than that it seems good.

I have a variety of foot problems that are quite painful. At first I was hesitant to buy shoes that looked so huge & Frankenstein-like, but I have to admit my feet feel better when I'm wearing these shoes. They really help manage my ball of foot and heel pain. Yes they are clunky looking & make my feet look huge, but as long as my feet don't hurt I'm ok with that.

Very nice and comfortable I love it, I wish it could be little bit more rigid the back area, it deforms when you put them on

I was looking for a new shoe to add to my rotation and found the Endorphin Shift 2. It met the criteria I use for most of my shoes and I decided to give them a try. First, the good. I really like the rocker, the cushioning and heel/toe minimal drop. I find them extremely comfortable and at 70, comfort is really important. The not so great. I have issues with the tounge causing me issues by being short and getting out of line. The laces are too short for my tying comfort, and the heel was initially difficult to conveniently get into. Neither the tounge or laces are serious. I can get longer laces and taking more care when tying took care of tounge and lace issues. The heel issue had me concerned enough to consider returning, but apparently, with use they have become very comfortable to get off and on. I never had a problem with them not performing well. Overall, I am very satisfied with these shoes and can see more Saucony shoes in my future!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

The shoe provided good lateral support,, the color was great, and the fit exactly what I expected
. I'm and 8.5 and the shoe fit true to size. The toe box was generous, as I have a bunion I appreciated the room. This is a good buy.

Fit is great. A little firm but comfortable. These seem to be better suited for slightly faster paces.

These were nice and a good running shoe in my rotation. Runs true to size, but if you like a bit of breathing space I would size up .5 (I wear 8.5 but would have preferred a 9 in these). I usually run in Nikes but have been developing toe pain(hallux rigidus) and this shoe was recommended in an article for toe pain (and by my friend) so I decided to give them a try. It definitely did help with shifting the strike from heel to mid sole, which helped the weight distribution in my foot.
That being said the sole is very different from what I am used to with Nikes/Adidas(React/ZoomX & boost). These have a much harder sole (not as springy or responsive ~ it was a different ride, but it was enjoyable). Since the sole was harder shifting in speed was smooth, and the midsole really does help you shift in your stride giving a little boost to your run. Overall good shoe.

Very happy with this shoe. I chose it because of the extra cushioning for walking.

Perfect shoe for easy runs and recovery. More stable than I'm used to but that's why I bought them. I would not buy these for fast training runs or racing, definitely recommend just for trotting around, recovery runs, etc. Could double as a court shoe for like pickleball or something.

These are my go to long run trainers. The stack height is super tall which is weird. I used a pair of these for marathon training for the spring and got another pair for my fall 26.2. They wear very well, i got over 500 miles out of the last pair, fit is excellent. The speedroll took me a bit to get used to but i am a mid foot/heel striker at lower speeds.

The shoe is very stiff at first and I put about sixty miles in them before they finally broke in. But they are light weight and cup my heel very well.

This shoe is almost the perfect big mileage workhorse. I'm learning that polarizing my shoe choices; endorphin speeds and pro for tempo day, speeds for long day, but heavier, slower, more solid shoes for all the easy days. For me , that means triumph and shift 2. Too many times we choose tweener shoes for those days and end up running in lighter, faster shoes than the day deserves. My legs are better off that way. The shift 2 is an improvement for me as the external heel cup is a bit softer. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is purely personal; I am an underpronator, and the extra support of the shifts is a bit more thatn i need. Bit otherwise this is my perfect easy day/long day workhorse.

I'm finding it's taking a little time to get used to these shoes. I've done two runs so far, and can't get the right fit with my laces yet. I wasn't sure about the sponginess of the sole, and that's taking a bit, but I'm appreciating it on downhills. I believe I'll find the right way to use these shoes, but they're not great right out the gate like other Sauconys have been for me.

Very comfortable. Only issue is the toe box is narrower than first model so does squeeze my toes a bit.

I have been running in the Brooks Ghost and Saucony Triumph for years, and recently started using the Saucony Endorphin Speed (fantastic shoe) for fast workouts and races. When the Endorphin Shift was introduced as a more cushioned member of the Endorphin line, and it was available at a steep discount through a Saucony sale, I thought I'd give it a try. My verdict - a decent shoe but nothing special. It feels comparable to the Ghost - I use both for slower, recovery day runs. I average about 40 miles per week and have run 118 marathons over the past 30 years.

I've been using this shoe for long slow runs and recovery days during the hot summer months. It's a solid, quality trainer that does it's job well and holds up. I like the 4mm drop but would like to see a wider toe box.

Nice shoe, fits my feet well. Love my Endorphin Pros, so wanted to give these a try. I will definitely keep going with the Endorphin line up. Plan on trying the Speed in the near future.

Great shoe, I was surprised how stiff it was, but the speed roll helps keep me moving and I am settling into it very nicely. These are my every day endurance shoes and are working well for me.

Literally and figuratively solid. Firmer approach to a max cushion shoe. The structure of this shoe makes it one which will work for a neutral runner, but also a runner who needs a little more stability. The speed roll technology keeps this larger shoe running fairly smooth even at slower paces.

Usually a big fan of Saucony, especially the shoes, but I've been having some heel tendonitis, and these seemed to aggravate that whereas other shoes did not. I had to retire them early. They were super-stiff. If I were searching for an everyday trainer from Saucony, I would go with the Kinvara or something else instead.
