Huge mistake. Had some wide Brooks before and they were swell but these are so tight in the bunion and they are contoured in and though they felt comfie for the week I wore them around the house, the first time I went out and ended up walking for an hour they caused blisters and pain and they are clearly not tall enough for a foot to fit in without getting marked. To wear them I bought elastic laces and had to open them up super wide, but the, maybe because of that narrower contour just below the metatarsals, the tongues no longer stayed in place. Also, they look terrible. I am giving them away. I am truly sorry I bought these.

Brooks used to be my favorite shoes but I find I need to lace these "wide" shoes so loose they look funny. They pinch in just under the wide part of the foot, so if you are purchasing these because of foot deformity issues (bunions) they may rub and hurt. The bad thing about shoes is that you wear them around the house and think they will be okay and then you wear them for a day and they give you blisters and it's too late to return. I don't recommend. Photo shoes this shoe next to the same size Finn Comfort for comparison of how I need to lace them to wear and maybe shoes the narrow center contour.

I purchased Brooks Ghost shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis and to have a better walking / run experience. Unfortunately, these shoes did not provide the support I needed for plantar fasciitis, therefore, both of my feet have broke down due to the condition. I came to realize the insert in the shoes do not provide no support. I am also very disappointed and the type of fabric these shoes are made of. They are extremely difficult to clean.

Had to return them. Thank you for the excellent return policy. I had been a runner since the late 70's, due to a reoccurring hamstring injury 7 years ago or so, I had to relent to fitness walking. But I walk 40+ miles a week. -Did not like the 12mm heel drop. -Big difference in feel from a 10mm. -Was not supportive enough, going back to a GTS style. -Caused knee pain, shin pain, and reactivated my hamstring injury. Going to try the Glycerin 20 GTS.

My Ghost 12 and 13 shoes were PERFECT! The 14 is too squishy when walking and doesn't have the needed support. Both times I have tried to "break them in" with a short power walk, I have tweaked my foot from it not staying in alignment due to the extra cushion and the toe box material having too much give. PLEASE bring back the old version. They were the perfect shoe.

Returned to you today. These are nothing like the Ghost 13. They are heavier and give knee pain. The heel drop is different as well. Please stop changing perfection. I can only hope that the Ghost 15 will be better

I've previously bought the Glycerin from Brooks. However, the last pair I bought, the Glycerin 19 was too high in the back and hurt my Achilles tendon, and caused blisters. I decided to try the Ghost instead this time. This was a mistake. I ordered the same size I do in Glycerin, 9.5 2A. In a 9 my toes would touch the end of the Glycerin so I need the extra length. (My street size is 8.5 2A.) I felt the same was true for the Ghost when I tried them on--I could not have gone any shorter. However, I could not get the shoe tight enough to cradle my forefoot. It was too wide. I also don't like the all-mesh front of the shoe. It doesn't provide any support. My older Glycerin 14s provide more support than these shoes at least partly because they aren't all mesh in front. They also fit narrower even though they are the same size. I started having slight knee pain on my first run, but it went away when I stopped running. However, the more I ran, the worse my knees hurt. I hadn't run in a while, but I typically walk 1-2 hours a day in the same area I was running, so I'm not completely out of shape. Eventually, the knee pain became so bad I was struggling to walk. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a ligament injury in both knees. It's been weeks now since I've been able to walk without pain. The last time I had an injury like this was almost 15 years ago when I was a broke college student and bought a brand of running shoes I'd never heard of before because that was what I could afford. I never expected to get this type of injury from running in Brooks. At this point, I can barely move. I walk with pain, Climbing stairs is agony. Forget running. I'm beyond disappointed in these shoes. (It has been two weeks now since the initial injury and I'm still recovering.) My doctor said the shoes not being narrow enough and causing my feet to slide within the shoe was probably a major factor in the injury. I tried lacing them multiple ways and it was impossible to get the support I needed.

Have been wearing Brooks for a few years for power walking. There is a significant decrease in the padding in the ghost 14. After wearing three times my feet feel like they do when my old Brooks needed to be replaced. Not the same quality at all.

I have very bad feet with several different problems so I keep trying different kinds of athletic shoes hoping to find comfort but the Ghost 14 is not the one. I wore them around my house for about an hour and my plantar fasciitis pain that had not been bothering me came rushing back with the Ghost 14. I also have Achilles tendinitis and it began to hurt as well. I have tremendous osteoarthritis in both knees and that was not good either. Clearly the Ghost 14 did not have the support that I need. However, they were very stylish but I can't keep them since they are so painful.

I ordered these shoes because I have the exact same pair and love them. I ordered the exact same size and width but this shoe does not fit the same. It is too narrow in the toe box. Such a disappointment because I wore them outside and can?t return them.

I've worn Ghosts for as long as I can remember. I went into my local running store to buy a pair and the salesman suggested I try them on. I said I don't have to try Ghosts on; I just buy the newest pair and go on my way. He urged me again to try them on because they had been redesigned. I'm glad I heeded his advice and tried them on. They were definitely made differently and I couldn't buy them. Very disappointed in the 14's.

DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES!! I?ve literally worn Brooks Ghosts for the last 8 years and these shoes are terrible for both indoor and outdoor running. On my last run in these shoes 1 mile in they started hurting. By 2 miles I had to stop from pain.

Very disappointed with model 14. I?ve a marathoner who has worn ghost for the last 7 years or so and have always been happy. This model has no cushion in the toes. I thought I had to just brake them in, but after many runs on them, they still hurt my feet. 10 miles this morning and my feet are killing me. I guess I have to find a new shoe that works for me now.

It's not like the two previous Ghost shoes I bought, which I loved. It's too squishy. Previous models had a firmer sole. No more buying stuff on the internet. Very disappointed.

This is my 4th pair of Ghost shoes and the Ghost 14's hurt my knees!!! ? The shoe seems to have more of a drop heel than my ghost 13's And 12's. I am back to wearing my ghost 13s and my beautiful new shoes sit in my closet.

Disappointed in this shoe. I have bought many pairs of Brooks over many years now with Ghost being my favorite. My Ghost 13 was the most comfortable ever and were wearing out so I bought the Ghost 14 to replace them. The new pair is so uncomfortable. I have never had an uncomfortable pair until now. I am back to wearing my worn out Ghost 13s because they are more comfortable than the new pair of 14s.

Have been running in ghost for years and loved it, except for the 14's. My feet hurt for days after running in them and had to return. Now I am in the hunt for ghost 13's to stock up.

Terrible. Returned after one run and my ankle hurt so bad. I have never had any problems with my feet or shoes. I can usually wear anything. I ordered a half size bigger and they fit. There was zero give in the top of the shoe. No thanks

Big fan of the Ghost until the 14?s. Biggest disappointment is the narrowed toe box on this model. The larger toe box is the one feature that has kept me coming back, but sadly I had to return this model.

I have run in Ghost running shoes for many years and have loved them. The Ghost 14 toe bed is more narrow than the other series. I developed a blister and had to replace with a Ghost 13 I was lucky enough to find. Hoping they fix the problem with the 15?s.
