I ordered these after wearing out my last year's Brooks Ghost 13 which I loved. Sadly, I felt the Ghost 14 was slightly narrower in the toe box and very quickly started causing bunion pain with my custom orthotics so I had to return. Needed to go with a new brand this year. Excellent shoe otherwise, but wanted to share my experience in case others have similar issues.

I've had a hard time finding a pair of Brooks Ghost 14s that fit me. I normally wear 6.5 and sometimes a 6.5 wide. I initially tried the size 7 b/c of a blurb I read about sizing up for wider feet or in between sizes. But that shoe was too long and my heel kept sliding. So I wound up ordering a 6.5 wide (in a different color - not many D selections), which is this shoe. The shoe is typical Brooks quality. Nice style and color was attractive. I do like those shoestrings - kinda stretchy, good grip and stay tied. The fit was nice, although a tad snug. The toe box was roomy. I wore these around the house and thru 3 of my usual 45-min treadmill walk. The first time, the bottom of my feet hurt and as time went on, the sides began to hurt as well. I chalked it up to having to break them in (although previous Brooks have not required break-in). The 2nd time, was not better and my feet were really painful. The 3rd time, I barely completed my walking due to the pain. This is not typical for Brooks shoes so I tried to analyze why these particular shoes. When I first put them on, I could feel the insole kind of hard & rough against the bottom on my feet. While a bit snug, it wasn't uncomfortably so. When wearing them around the house, the bottoms of my feet did bother me some, but I thought maybe changing to more cushioned socks would change that. That seemed to help a little. I compared these to my older Brooks (also Ghost) which these were to replace. I can always tell when I need a new pair b/c I can almost feel the floor underneath. The cushioning just feels like it's gone. And these were vaguely similar to that feeling. The insoles felt like they had lost some (or all?) of their cushioning. Anyway, I am returning these but I really think this is a one-off for Brooks. Will probably look at NB or Asics next.

I thought shoe was a normal brooks shoe, but the shoelaces were cheap and about 5 inches shorter than my usual.

The ghost 13 was a better overall shoe . The fit, comfort and look was better.

Not as good as my Ghost 13. The narrow in the Ghost 14 was a bit too narrow.

I have and love my 2 pairs of Ghost 13s but this Ghost 14 is a big disappointment. I can never understand why a company changes what is perfect!

Really liked the look and feel of this shoe, as long as I was standing still. However, when just walking briskly, the shoes pulled my socks down at the heel and chronically untied! Returned them.

I feel like Brooks sneakers are cutting corners and the they just don't stand up for as long as they used to. Made with cheaper materials.

This is the first pair of Brooks that I have received and not liked. The "arch supports" felt like nubs under my arch and the shoe insert slid around, cramming my toes into the tops of the shoes. They also felt less cushiony than usual, a little harder, like cheap material. A real bummer to pay $130 for cheap materials.

I purchased these to replace a pair of Hoka Bondis that were about a year old. I walk outside daily so I ask a lot from my shoes. While these are very stylish and cute, after only 2 months, the soles are already wearing down and they're starting to make my feet and legs hurt after 3-4 mile walks. Sadly, I'm probably going to have to go back to Hokas and only wear these occasionally.

Didn't like the Ghosts. I've been a longtime Brooks Adrenaline customer. Decided to switch to Ghost. The shoes felt like they had very little arch support. I liked the style (got the black and silver ones), but could not imagine myself running comfortably in these shoes. Ended up returning.

I live in Brooks shoes and have for many years. I do not run but they give me great support and comfort for normal life. I am still in my Ghost 13's as they are more comforting than the 14's. Something changed with the 14's, and they just aren't as comfortable under foot.

I did not like how the toe area looked when I put it on. I like a tighter fit. Was surprised how cheap they looked. I expected more for the price.

I wish they felt cooler. My feet boil in these! I love Ghosts. They're my go to . I got them and after wearing them for a week, they are hot and feel super uncomfortable after my usual 16 hours as a teacher and dog walker. Brooks has seriously changed my life but these aren't for me. Perhaps if I wasn't such an intensive user they'd be OK. Going back.

Looked cute but feel very tight. I wish I had not of purchased but I came to that decision after wearing them for a couple of weeks.

As a C-width person enamored with the purple papaya I decided to give the B width a try -- too tight, even with thin socks. After living in Altra Olympus shoes (Lots of cushion and bounce,) these Ghosts felt hard. Back they go... Boo hoo, I love their look.
