This shoe was not comfortable - I usually wear the Ghost type ...let's just say I was glad to put my old Brooks Ghost sneakers back on.

The sole felt stiff and not very cushioned.

I bought these less than a year ago for good support - as I have flat feet. They feel good however on my left shoe (so far) the side of the tread on the sole is already pulling away from the bottom of the shoe.

I am disappointed in these shoes. I’ve worn Brooks for 20 years. I got this pair 5 months ago and they are worn out. Most of the Brooks I have purchased last a year at least and still look new. This will be the last pair I buy.

Caused a lot of pain compared to just walking barefoot.

Love my Brooks Ghost. Purchased Adrenaline because of look, colors. Unfortunately, returning. My feet hurt after a twelve hour shift. From now on I'll stick with ghost. No pain, roomier toe box.

I like the color and narrow fit, but that is all. The shoestrings are shorter, the tongues have been narrowed, and most importantly, the removeable inserts are made cheaply and have no cushion. I didn't realize it until I developed knee pain and shin splints wearing new shoes. I have purchased these for years. I compared
the shoe carefully with my older Brooks previous 2 pairs and found they had gel inserts. I replaced your cheap inserts with my old Brooks gel inserts and my pain disappeared in a few days. I can't believe you are selling those as top quality shoes. You need to listen to your long time customers. And I wish you would add extra protection on the toe area as you once did.

I've run and raced in Adrenalines for 6+ years, but I've been disappointed by the 22s. The toe box is horribly narrow, even on the wide version. I returned that pair, ordered the extra wide, and still have bunion discomfort. Also, the extra wide shoes are only available in one color, which seems a little silly! Runners with foot deformities deserve options, too.
I talked to a Brooks rep and learned that Brooks made the toe box of the 22s "pointier," which resulted in a narrow toe box. I hope the brand fixes this for their next iteration. These shoes are great if you have regular-sized feet, but for anyone with bunions, I'm afraid I do not recommend.

My plantar fasciitis came back with a vengeance once I started wearing these regularly. I don’t run, I wear them at work and average 5 miles per day, mostly on carpet. There isn’t a lot of cushion, they are hard and the arch support in the midsole begins to hurt after a few hours of walking, perhaps because the midsole feels narrow. The toe box had ample room. As far as how durable they are, I would score them low. I started to get a hole above each toe early on and the sole started to flake off. I forced myself to wear these way longer than I should’ve because they are so expensive. I wear Altras for hiking, they are far superior to these Brooks.

I am so disappointed in the changes Brooks made on the Adrenaline GTS 22! I have been loyally buying this exact shoe since 2014, and even though there were slight changes from year to year, I was always super-happy with how they fit. And I really expected to love the new '22s because last year, the '21s fit perfectly right out of the box - practically begged me to go on a run immediately! The '22s, however, were very strange. I felt like they needed a break-in period. After wearing them for walking only for about 3 weeks, I noticed significant pain in my knees and hips. They also seemed to trigger my osteoarthritis in my toes. I was in denial that it could be the shoes at first. Then, I went back to my old shoes for a week or 2, and all the pain stopped. Sure enough, when I tried the '22s again I had pain immediately when walking. So, sadly, I will be returning them and hunting for a new running shoe. I really loved the fun confetti-like color, but it's not worth the pain.

I'll start by saying I've bought Adrenaline shoes for the past several years. This is the first time I have been disappointed.
LACES: Way too short. I don't know what Brooks was thinking. I have very small hands for an adult woman, and I can barely tie them. For normal sized hands, this would be a very frustrating exercise. Is this a cost saving measure? Just pass on the cost to the consumer. They're also flat, slippery laces unlike the round ones with some traction in previous versions of this shoe. You just can't get a secure fit.
ANKLE SUPPORT: All the previous versions of this shoe fit higher along the ankle, offering a secure, stabilizing fit for running. Remember this is a stabilizing shoe for overpronation so the ankle support aspect is very important. In this year's version, the height is lower along the ankle and combined with the subpar laces which don't offer a tight fit, the foot feels unsupported when running. I don't know why Brooks did this - for fashion? Because that's really not why we buy these shoes.
COLOR: This is the least important point because I only care about the performance of the shoe, but the colors were better last year.
I've only been running once in these shoes and my feet hurt so much that I had to stop running in 10 minutes. Never happened before. Sadly I threw away the boxes because of my blind trust in Brooks so I can't return these but I'll think twice about buying these next time. Still good for walking, but I could have bought a cheaper shoe for that frankly.

The shoes fit comfortably however, the inside back of the shoe is coming apart. I've owned many pairs of Brooks sneakers, some are now over 6 years old, and never had this issue. Very disappointing.

I bought these for a 2-week walking trip to Scotland. I liked them at first, but when I wore them on the trip, I immediately started having lower back and leg pain. My sciatic nerve felt like a knife stabbing into it. When I changed to different shoes I no longer had issues. I am disappointed as I really liked them.

I have worn Brooks Adrenaline for AGES. I don’t know what they have done but this is the least comfortable pair I’ve ever worn. They have caused me much pain. After 1 day at work my legs and whole body hurt so bad. I’m not sure I will even be able to use them. The past years have felt so great each time I popped on a new pair with awesome cushion. These have little cushion and less support for those of us that over pronate. The tongue is not as comfortable either. I won’t buy again. Such a let down :(.

I’ve worn Brooks Adrenaline for years, buying 2-3 pairs each year to rotate. This was my first GTS22, and the toe box is 1/4” narrower than the 21, so my usual 9.5 EE did not work. I returned them (thanks, Zappos!) and will have to find another brand. I ordered a men’s 8.5 EE in Hoka, so am keeping fingers crossed. I hate having to go through the process of finding new shoes!

I have been looking for the Glycerin GTS 19 but no one has any, so I tried these. No where near the comfort of the Glycerin so I'm sending them back.

I've been wearing Brooks Shoes for 18 years and have hung in through the Adrenaline GTS changes. I was thrilled to learn the 22s had almost returned to their original glory. But this pair has barely lasted 10 months and I only wear them 3 times a week for a short, easy walk. I'm so disappointed in how these have turned out. I have suffered through several other brands and thought that was over. I can't justify $150 for 10 months of "good" wear.

As an older woman, I bought these because I've had good luck in the past with Brooks shoes. I need stability and good support. While these shoes have great fit and support, I am NOT happy with my purchase. The soles are already coming off after 1 month of just walking around in them! Look at the photo!

First pair failed and Brooks happily sent me a new pair. Thank you!
The second pair failed faster than the first. I was to embarrassed to ask for another replacement.
Bought a third pair because it is recommended for touring Rome to buy a new pair of what you're used to. Shoes bought. Already failing- like brand new. They have nice support but don't last.

Second pair of adrenaline shoes from Brooks. Always wore Ghost for years and very happy. Sales person recommended the adrenaline after watching gait in store. First pair of adrenaline's were great no issue. This pair I only wore for three fitness classes and part of sole already tore off, see attached photos. These shoes are way too expensive to tear up after 3 wears. I like the overall support, cushion and color combination, but won't buy again due to poor construction and durability.

These are the worst Brooks shoes I have ever owned. Luckily I replace them every 6-8 months because of the daily use. Absolutely NO cushion and they actually hurt my knees and hips. I find myself reaching for my old 20 or 21's. Do yourself a favor and wait for the next generation. I'll likely look elsewhere than a Brooks shoe sadly.
