They are great shoes... using them for golf. The trail bottoms are great for the sport. Another way to use a great shoe.

I had an exceptional Customer Service experience in an effort to replace a faulty pair. It was quick and easy and was all handled via Messenger on Facebook.

Comfortable and very cool looking. I am not a trail runner. I use it for walking and casual everyday use.

Just looking at, and holding these shoes, I could tell that they are well constructed, and designed well, for their purpose. I love the fit, and the feeling of security on the trail, especially with steep sections, with the roots, and rocks. The Ballistic Rock Shield', is a great feature. So, I say Thank You to BrooksRunning!!

This a great trail shoe. It has served me well on a variety of trail surfaces, from desert rocky trails with loose rocks in New Mexico, to grassy pasture in the remote Kansas. The grip is superb and the rock plate does its job. That's why this is my 4th Cascadia 16 - I love it.

Straight out of the box the Cascadias did not disappoint. I like the fact that they're light weight and have enough protection with their ballistic rock plate and protection on the toe. Only con is that I felt a bit of discomfort on my foot when shoe laces were tied.

Purchased for a week long camp with plenty of hiking and they did not disappoint. Felt great on dirt, loose slate and slick rock.

I've owned Brooks before for a long time, but lately I've decided to try a different brand name, a "trendy" one. Well, needless to say, it was a mistake, so I ended up returning them, since I'm very picky about my sneakers. I then decided to go back to Brooks and tried the new Cascadia 16, mostly for hiking and walking this time. Well, let me tell you, WOW!! These shoes were so comfortable during my walking tours in Europe that I didn't have to think about them at all! I even went on a long hike to the Austrian Alps one day, where the rocks were very slippery and I witnessed some people slipping and falling down (mostly on account of the shoes they were wearing), but with my Brooks I didn't have a single slip--not one! To me that's a powerful testament of how great these shoes are all around. So it's not just the comfort they provide over all, but their great performance as well--their outer sole provides such a good grip and great friction. A couple of years ago, when walk-touring in Spain (with different, but reputable brand of shoes) I got some blisters in my toes. However, with my new Brooks Cascade 16 this time, I was walking an average of about 15,000 steps daily and I did not have a single issue with my feet at all. I used to run quite a bit in the past with Brooks shoes, but since I injured my knee sometime ago, I go on long walks mostly and this type of Brooks shoe is just perfect for that. I'm sure that for running this is also an excellent pair of footwear, even though I haven't run with them. Oh, I and forgot to mention that both their style and colors are awesome as well! Anyway, thank you so much and kudos to the Brooks team! You guys got another winner this time--and a very satisfied and happy customer too!

Very comfortable and great support. I had foot surgery and appreciate the slightly lower toe drop and fairly wide toe box. I like them so much, I bought a second pair in a different color!
