For some reason, these shoes seem to angle outward at the front, so my big toe points toward and presses into the side of the shoe, more so on the right shoe. Unwearable for running bc it?s so uncomfortable and distracting, despite many attempts. Tried wearing them around town for a few months hoping they just needed to break in, and tried different tying styles, to no avail. Idk if I just got a bunk pair, but very disappointed bc I love my other Brooks. I?m giving up, these are going to the back of my closet.

I've worn Ghosts for years, but the 14s have been disappointing. My second pair 14s was worse than the first and I'm shipping them back. They felt flat and unresponsive in comparison to all other Ghosts going back several years, even my first pair of 14s. I look forward to Brooks reviving this classic model with better material.

Good looking shoe, but pretty uncomfortable. Any pair of Asics I've ever had is more comfortable than these shoes. There's decent cushioning in the heel but the forefoot is very uncomfortable, to the point where my foot will hurt after a few minutes of wearing these shoes. I have buyers remorse.

For some reason the sole was slipperier on smooth surfaces than other brands. The rubber is harder. Perhaps, this is why.

Ghost 14 is ok. Just ok. Slightly better than the alternative brands I've tried. I really liked the Ghost 13 and hoped Brooks wasn't like other companies and change their design every year. But, alas, they're as bad as everyone else. They are often out of my size (11.5, 2E) and when they do have my size, it usually comes in exciting color combos like black and white or gray and, well gray. I'll stick with them until I find something better, or until they change the design for worse - again.

Sad to say, I?m disappointed with this ghost edition. Haven?t had the shoes a full month yet and I can feel an impression of the grid of the heel already. It?s starting to make my feet hurt. The material feels cheap and wears out quickly. I usually love the ghost or adrenaline editions.

Brooks Ghost have always been my go-to shoe. But since they changed the material for the heel cup area from 13 onto 14 now I won't be getting these until they go back to the more durable heal cup material like used in the 10 and earlier. Cheaper, less robust material that wears out at 200 miles. Very disappointed ??

Have been running in Brooks for years. Not sure if they have a new rubber provider or what but these are not what past ghost have been. Softer outsole and less traction on runs. Shoes seem to lack the durability of past models as well. Likely looking for a new shoe to go with after Boston in April. And never listen to feedback to get more colorful wide shoes, sick of the black, greys, and blues options only.

Got these shoes for my husband. He loves Brooks shoes. However, this pair squeaks horribly. It has made them unwearable. Would love to return for a different pair. Hoping Zappos can make it right.

I have been loyal to brooks in my 7 years as a distance runner, specifically the Ghost model. I have never had any complaints until now. I work in the world of Footwear Supply Chain, so I know material sourcing costs have increased. However, you cannot market a shoe at the same MSRP as your latest and greatest model, when in reality it is far worse than any other ghost model. -Low quality laces come undone every run. I just finished a run and they came undone 3 times. clearly they went with a lower quality lace to save on margin. Take the margin hit so you stay a premium performance running product!

Believe this company is starting to try to save more money than create a decent shoe for its consumers. The Brooks shoe line has gone down hill. The shoe feels cheaper every year yet remains the same price for consumers.

I wore nothing but Brooks Ghost since I started running seriously few years ago. Had every Ghost from 9, and I go through a pair rather quickly. So, bought Ghost 14 coz that's the latest. Shoes are super good, excellent balance, comfort and cushion for long distance runs (10-15+ miles). But, laces will not stay tied and, will not keep the shoe snug to the foot. They tend to untie themselves within a mile or so, first one, then the other. Even after tying shoe lace again, the knot might stay barely but, it bears feels taut when removing after run. I initially thought its a new shoe thing or cold weather thing. Well, 150+ miles later, all runs between 5 and 38 F, the above issue remained exactly same. I finally gave up and replaced those laces with Ghost 12 laces and, magic, problem went away. They are back to being Brooks Ghost again. Not sure if it is the lace material or eye design/ width but, I hope Brooks can fix this. Very disappointed with my experience and having to run with old laces (that do not match), hoping for better things.

Let me start by saying I only wear Brooks Ghost since I started running seriously, from 9 through, now, 14. From a shoe standpoint, absolutely love it. Great experience as always. Laces though, whole different story. For a premium shoe like this, with $130+ price tag, they come loose all the time. This was not a problem with any of previous Ghosts. I hate stopping in first few miles, which sets tempo for rest of run, and these sorry laces come loose even before I run 1/2 mile. One shoe and then the other. Even if I tighten the second shoe when I am tying lace for untied one, you bet the second one will come loose not long after. Frustrating as such, imagine having to tie your shoe lace when its 6 F outside, mid-west winter. First I thought its a 'new shoe thing' or 'cold weather thing' but, no, I have had more than 100 miles on these, almost all of them less than 32 F, its not. Just Poor Quality. I cannot imagine Brooks could make such low quality laces. Since I cannot return, I just swapped out the laces from my Ghost 12. I hate to say it but, I seriously have to consider trying another brand when its time to buy my next pair, which won't be long anyway. Love the brand, love the shoes but, extremely poor laces, for a shoe of such high quality.

Super comfortable but not durable at all. Sole peeling from toe area and mesh/knit material already showing snags and other issues. Quality is well below expectations at this price point. But comfortable as can be.

I've been wearing Ghosts for a few years now and the 14s have been unwearable. Toe box too narrow, everything too tight, seems smaller than previous Ghosts all around. I've given up on trying break them in or just get used to them. Buyer beware.

I?ve been wearing Brooks Ghost shoes for about 4-5 years now and recently had to switch because they made these too narrow. They used to be perfect but now are cut a little bit more narrow in the middle. I wore a wide before but now I can feel the inside of my foot (where an arch would be if I had one) rubbing against the side of the insole. It?s really unfortunate because they made my favorite shoe for years and I never had any issues other than them wearing down a little faster than I?d expect at the price.

Brooks Ghost has been my go to shoe since the beginning but the Ghost 14s are the first ones that pinch my toes. Can?t wear these for over 5 miles or so.

i started wearing the ghost form the 12 model, the 12 was great, 13 was good but 14 is poor. The insoles are disinigrating and the sock liner is about to give out in about a month. Bring back the Ghost 12s

My 14's came as a early bday present and I loved them right out of the box... 32 days later I am re-boxing to return. I typically get a 3-4 months out of my ghost but with the 13's it dropped to 2-3 months and now with this 14, it is just a day over the 1 month mark. In my opinion it seems like the durability of the material in the soles has been declining with each redesign. I am about to order another pair in hopes it was just maybe a bad production cycle but if I get the same results they will lost me.

I?ve worn ghosts religiously since version 7 and have never had a problem until this version 14. I purchased my normal size and the first time I ran in them, they pinched my toes enough to cause one of my nails to turn black. The redesigned toe box is narrower and pronates my feet slightly inward. Am disappointed and hoping Brooks returns more to the old design with the 15.
