I bought the less expensive Hoka Rincon 3 with the intention of using if for walking and as a casual shoe. However, they were very uncomfortable mainly because the tongue of the shoe did not have padding. It was just material.

The Rincon 3s are super great but for some reason this black model with the blue tint and yellow heel felt dead - no cushion. I ordered TWO pairs of identical shoes, just different colors. The BLUES are super cushion and fantastic to run in, but the same shoe in a different color (black/blue) feels like no cushion and dead. I've ordered at least 10 pairs of these Rincons and this ONE shoe was horrible...what the heck?

Not for me years back ran in the first Rincon Cava Mach
Liked that a lot. Bought quite a few pairs of each first models out
They were seem to be discounted quite a bit I did bought a Mach 2 didn't like
The fit
I do have a pair of Rocket X carbon plate but they can't compete with the Saucony endorphin pros
They have been my go to shoes for years now
I never tried any other styles of your Hoka shoes. Felt my best investment is that I'm wearing now.

In hindsight, I should have read the negative reviews. This show is trash, and I say that as a hoka stan. I've loved every hoka purchase I've ever made, so this was a shocking turn of events. The tongue sucks, the show runs big, and it is no where near as comfortable as the other models. Seems like a like of trial runs and the company just through them out there to make more money. I wish I could return these and exchange for a better, more vetted pair.

I love hokas and I've loved every shoe I've gotten from them, but this one isn't it. The support isn't there, the shoe runs big, and it just simply not as comfortable as other models of purchased. Almost seems like a trial level shoe that shouldn't have passed the testing phase.

I felt like I was going to fall backwards because of the shape of the heal. Also the wides were a little tight to be described as a wide shoe.

Why can't running shoe companies just keep what works? Rincon 2 was a downgrade, Rincon 3 is a huge downgrade. Tried it on at Fleet Feet, ran around the block and the shoe just outright suck.

I walk daily and these shoes didn't last two months. It feels like the soles are breaking down internally. They are very light but I won't say they're good as a daily walking shoe.

Not impressed with the shoes. Ordered a wide size as needed, but feet hurt after full days in shoes.

I've ran hundreds of miles in Rincons. So when I saw the 3s, I knew they'd be great. However they weren't. The first and only time I ran in them they caused discomfort. I thought they needed a break in period and wore them around only to find out they hurt my feet even just standing around in them.
Bottom line HOKA makes a great shoe and I assume these particular pair are faulty.

So sorry but I have to share my personal feeling about this model. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the tongue design before bought this rincon 3. It came with very thin tongue at the top part. It is uncomfortable, it always folded whenever I inserted my foot, so we have to loosen much the tie and hold the tongue when inserting the food.
moreover, the tongue hit the foot when walking.
beside the quarter is thin so for me I have to decrease 0.5cm size for this model, but it isn't big deal.
Other personal feeling when wearing this model, it seems like not flat, feels slightly tilted down inward.

This shoe uses a very thin but stiff tongue design which cut into the top of my foot. Had to return them

I had purchased a pair of Clifton 8 last year which I absolutely love. I decided to try these. The tongue was too long and too stiff so it cut in on top of my foot which made them unwearable for me.

I have purchased two pair before and loved the shoes. When I ordered this time they were too small. The same day I received them , tried them on and were too small. tried to do the online return and the website said not eligible for return. I call a couple times, finally got someone and she said she would issue a return label but never did. So I still have a pair of never worn shoes in the shipping box.

Good sneakers, but also returned other items that didn't fit. Not thrilled with how long it takes to get confirmation on returns

These shoes were very uncomfortable. As others have noted, the tongue is the main problem. After wearing one day I have a sore/cut where the tongue wore into my foot.
As others have noted, the tongues aren't even the same size reflecting poor build quality. I know this wasn't the priciest of the Horka's but they're still not cheap and I expected better quality.

I wear athletic shoes all day every day and was looking for something more comfortable since I' ve had mobility issues since I had knee surgery a couple years ago,. Several friends recommended Hoka shoes saying they were the most comfortable athletic shoes they had ever worn.
I bought the pair that felt I could afford even though I had my eye on a more expensive pair. I decided on the less expensive pair to see how I felt about them. I am not impressed. They are not comfortable.

The shoe is light and feels good standing. When walking or running the arch does not fit my foot well. Balls of feet in pain. Metatarsalgia developed. Won't wear again.

I wanted to love these. I purchased five pairs in three months. I noticed different injuries like patellar Tendinitis, then I got a stress fracture. My orthopedic Dr. told me the extra cushioning in Hokas and the angle of the shoe are NOT good for a diabetic with early neuropathy. Wish I would've known before all the pain and suffering:/
