This is the first pair I have returned for something other than fitment. The shoe caused me to have knee pain and I felt as it made me put weight on the outside of me feet instaed of being evenly distributed

Not a fan of the Bondi X. The back soul is very cumbersome at times. Especially walking down stairs. I get the idea of it. I have had them a couple of months and don't even wear them anymore. I stick to my old Stinsons. Expensive lesson to learn at that price point.

I was hoping to make these my training shoes for long easy road runs. I have Cliftons watch I primarily run in the treadmill with, carbox x2s for 70.3 ironman, and I also have some Elevations that I mix in on training. Wanted to love the Bondi X, but it's going back.
The good: know that feeling where you are sore the day after a long run? Joints just feel a little beat up? Never happened with the Bondi. These shoes didn't actually feel soft to be, from the carbon plate I guess. But they left me feeling great running 10-13k every day of the week for 2+ weeks.
The not quite bad: they just feel slow. I didn't mind that so much as I wanted base miles and my race shoes will feel even better on race day. But psychologically it messes with you to feel that much slower.
The bad: they rubbed my ankle raw on the first run. Ok, I'll wait a few days and try different socks. Same problem. Waited a couple more days then figured I'd just tough it out for 10 days and let them break me in. No dice, just rubbing me raw on the back of my foot above the ankle. Turns out a friend had the same issue, so it's not just me.
Bummed as even though they feel slow to me, my body was very relaxed after every run.

I have purchased many different versions of the Bondi. The Bondi X felt like my feet were on a downhill slope. I wear Bondi's because I need both of my knees replaced after years of running. I returned the X's for a full credit. That was the easiest process ever. I'm still a Bondi fan and own 2 pair of Bondi 7's. The X is just not for me.

Tongue to short, colorway needs improving, really felt carbon plate kick in on strides which I liked. However major heel slippage. I wear a 12 in the Bondis and Arabia with no heel slip. This was the deal breaker

I have 2 pair already and wanted a 3rd but the box you sent them in was destroyed and the shoes were damaged so I sent them back. Not very happy at all with the purchase.

I can't believe I'm leaving a bad review. I love Hoka and it's the only brand shoe I run in. The Bondi X is a horrible shoe. The tongue is so thin I can feel the laces through the fabric and it is so short when you tie the shoes it doesn't even reach the top of the shoe. Just the points on the tongue do. The heel of the shoe is to swallow and it doesn't matter how to lace it the your heel doesn't seat into the shoe well and slips while you are walking. There's just something awkward about these shoes and I've never had a problem with any other Hoka shoes, so I'm really disappointed. The shoe is true to size. That's the only thing it has going for it in a positive

Why are these things so horribly narrow? It's insane. I wear a standard width in all shoes I buy. But I could not even get my foot in this shoe. Will not go to larger widths because they will look like clown shoes.

Loyal HOKA fan for years - bought several pair of Bondi 5, 7's, etc. Tried Bondi X - will not buy again. The Bondi X is too stiff and right shoe doesn't fit right and is not comfortable. Trying to give break in period fair chance - but it does not appear to be working. Disappointed - would recommend looking elsewhere for good cushioned running shoe.

I bought Bondi X because Bondi 8 did not work out for me; I've been a big fan of bondi 7 (used 3 pairs) and so I had high hopes for Bondi X after 8 did not meet my need. Unfortunately, there is no value add for the additional $ charged by Hoka. The shoe did not feel any better than my previous Bondi 7. The two eyelet or lacing guide at the top of the tongue closest to the ankle have a metal insert that kept digging into my ankle - I tried thicker socks and that did not help prevent the abrasion. So I had to return the shoes.

disappointed with the color selection, the cushion feel, and just the overall product return experience. For a $200+ pair of shoes, this is a let down. Please make better color selection for men.

Love Hokas but these didn't quite workout. The tongue is awkward and the pair I got (and am returning) came with a bump on the left heel molding. I'm not running away from y'all. Just gonna go back to Gaviota 4

I returned the shoes. I walk 3-1/2 miles per day, 5 days per week. The shoes roll outwards, apparently I need a shoe to address my supination problem. I have a pair of Clifton 8, Hoka shoes that I have been wearing several months and they roll outwards and the sole is wearing on the outside edge of the shoe. The Hoka shoes have no stability with the soft mesh tops. It is unfortunate to have to pay more than $200.00 for a pair of shoes and they roll to the outside.

One should know the sole of these shoes is HUGE and a most definite "look." The top of the shoe has no structure and so the foot can slide around on the footbed. I bought these for my husband who had balance issues thinking from the description they would be helpful but I thought he was going to fall off the shoes and he sat down and removed them for safety before he crossed the room. BAD SHOES.

I found these to be not comfortable at all. Having said that, I'm a fan of Hoka shoes and these Bondi X shoes did have a ton of cushioning. But my foot pad was easily fatigued and I felt as if my toes were pushed together. I really thought the carbon plate would increase my speed; but they did not. I already returned them and switched to the Clifton 8's and I'm happy!
