Feels like wearing a platform shoe with no support on top -- way too roomy

Wanted the sneaker for work. I do alot of walking on my job daily. The insole is hard and very uncomfortalbe. Will be sending the sneaker back and requesting a full refund.

Shoe messed up on the third wear.

I wanted to like this shoe. Friends recommended it, said it was comfortable and supportive. Sadly, that wasn't the case for me. I have a wide feet and these are too tight. They can't be ordered in Wide. The style is also clunky. I returned them.

Normally I order a size 11 in this style of Hokas but for some reason this size is too big. Such a bummer.

These shoes hurt my feet and gave me horrible blisters. I was unable to make any adjustments to make the comfortable.

These shoes are the most horrible ones I have owned before they hurt my sole of my foot and it was sore until the next day and they are very hard they are not soft at all

Not sure why but these Hokas are painful when I wear them all day.

I bought when my roommate and friend raved about their Cliftons. Sadly, they were not for me. I have high arches and felt like i had no stability in these shoes. Caused a lot of knee pain when i walked because my foot tried to compensated. Feels like you're walking on sponges so it is very cushioned and which would probably be good for someone with lower arches, but for me just felt off balance.

I really wanted to like these shoes because they came highly recommended by my runner friends. However I wore these shoes to run 2 times and on a short hike, and every time I found the experience uncomfortable. They rub my ankle where the bone sticks out (the bottom of the fibula). I've never had this issue with any tennis shoes before. Maybe the size is too big (although I always wear 7s), but I can't exchange them now that I've worn them. I honestly considered cutting the sides of the shoe just to get some use out of them but they'll probably fall apart if I do that. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

It's not comfortable

This is a revision to a review that I wrote earlier. I think I have a better understanding of the issue I am having with the heels of this shoe, and can describe it more plainly. I have been wearing Cliftons--and nothing but Cliftons--for many years. I loved the 8 initially, until I started feeling aggravation in the backs of my heels. The 8 has a new, and for me, deal-breaking cushioning construction in the back of the heel. It feels like there is a tough strap wrapping around the heel inside the lining. This band of material is aggressively firm, juts out like a shelf, and has traumatized the backs of my heels. I am scrambling to find another shoe style that works, and praying that Hoka is doing the heel construction of the 9 differently.

I usually get the Rincn but decided to give the Clifton a try bc the colors in the rincn were just outrageous to me. I'll take the unflattering colors anyday over the Clifton. This shoe doesn't seem like it will last very long.

If you're reading this review you've probably been wondering if these shoes are worth all the hype they are getting and I am here to tell you they are NOT! I wanted to try out these shoes to wear to work as I am a nurse and am on my feet for 12 hours a day. I needed a durable shoe that could be comfortable the entire 12 hours and last a while. I bought these in August and they are falling apart! The soles of the shoe are coming off. I thought these were supposed to be running shoes and to be durable? I don't wear these outside of work, so I just expected a running shoe to hold up long term and not fall apart after 3 months!! Save your money and buy a different pair of shoes else where.

I experienced knee pain from this shoe. From day 1. Pain went away as soon as i switched back to crocs.

I returned these, I got the 10.5 wide. It was true to size, but not as narrow as I would've liked. The return process was simple.

Have loved most versions of Clifton, as I have had #1-8. Will hold off for the Clifton 9, but not at all happy with the fit of #8. Also miss my coral color in the the Clifton's.

I have been a Clifton devotee for year. I loved my Clifton 8s for the first few days..until the backs of my heels started to get more and more aggravated. I took out my Clifton 7s and compared heel counters of the two versions by feeling with my fingers. Low and behold, the 8 (unlike the 7) has a very stiff band with sharp, easy-to-feel edges wrapping around heel in side the heel counter. PLEASE change this, HOKA. My heels hurt, and I cannot wear the shoe style that I have worn and loved for so long.
