I haven't been able to run for a couple of years due to knee surgery and I am excited to begin again. My old Clifton's are three years old and completely worn, as I found out quickly, but they fit so perfectly I just bought a brand new pair in the same size 7.5. They are about a quarter size too big - I kept wanted to scooch my foot forward because the arch support was in the wrong spot. Numerous inserts tried as well as different socks. I tried the 7's, about a quarter size too small, but even worse, because I have a high instep and these now have a sewn in tongue, there was no way to loosen these enough to be comfortable. I tried the bondi's and the arahi's in person, bondi's are just too much and arahi's are to sitff. So sad to look at a different brand now!

I love the look of my new sneakers but I am honestly struggling with the fit. The arch is VERY high for me and I find them almost uncomfortable at times. It has been about 2 weeks - I am giving it time to hopefully better mold to my feet. I previously always work Brooks sneakers (many pairs over the years) and these just don't give me the same level of comfort.

Size down 2 sizes. Makes your feet look big. And very wide.

I'm a pharmacist and stand 11+ hours daily. These shoes were extremely comfortable, but after not even 2 months, they already have major wear on the back side of one of the shoes and has been causing back pain. No other brand has ever worn uneven like this for me. I'm so dissatisfied with how these shoes are unwearable after a short time for the price.

Loved Clifton 4. The 8 is not as well made. Rubs my big toe in both feet (not a problem area for me) I miss the loop to pull on the shoe and the fact that the inserts are not removable for orthotics. I'm returning them. Please bring back the Clifton 4.

Always heard great things about Hoka. Was really looking forward in falling in love with the Clifton 8. Usually run NB. Unfortunately, I can't break them in. Shin & Knee pain when running.

These sneakers look cute but are way too wide for my foot and is causing cramping in my foot because my foot is so unstable in the sneaker. I'm disappointed because people rave about Hokas but maybe I just chose the wrong style!

I work in a hospital, was excited to use Hokas to cushion my feet as I stand & walk all day. Unfortunately the heels of both shoes squash down and audibly squeak with each heel strike. I cannot wear them. Feels like a huge waste of money.

These shoes were so comfortable and great for walking. However I am quite disappointed in the quality. I have had them just under three months and the fabric on the inside heel wore out and gave me a blister.

I was so excited try hoka running shoes because everyone was saying they are the runners shoes. The laces do not stay put when I run. I constantly have to stop and retie them. My foot also feels like it is rolling when I run in them and do not feel supported. I'm just disappointed.

These fit okay, although a little big long, but what I really dislike is how BULKY they are. I tried to return them but I received an email saying they were not returnable. Nothing indicated they weren't returnable when I was purchasing! I feel like I was ripped off.

I thought inside cushion would be softer/spongy. I had to buy gel inserts.

These were supposed to give me arch support and angle my foot outward, but it does the opposite on my left side causing callouses and blisters. I bough the recommended size and it feels way to insecure and large.

Really disappointed to find out these shoes gave me serious blisters on my inner heels after simply walking in them. I've been trying to continue use to break them in, so far no luck.

Starting out, the Clifton 8's felt great. I usually run in Brooks Ghost 13s, but decided to give the Clifton's a try. They felt very soft and comfortable at first. I've worn them for the last month, only running about 8-12 miles a week and today I noticed the sole on the bottom of the right shoe is already coming off. Very disappointing for an expensive shoe and after such little use. The sides also already feel weak and worn, not what I'd expect from a company like Hoka. I've never had this problem with Brooks before, and I've used their shoes exclusively for the past 3 years.

Splurged on these but they don't have the comfort of a pair I bought years ago. Not nearly as cushy and they just don't feel comfortable.

ALthough these turned out to be beautiful shoes and absorbed the shock really well, the toe box was too narrow for me. Using my own insert, the shoes were too tight. They don't seem like a wide for the wide that they are. Sad but true, I'll have to return these beauties!!!
I'd also recommend:

I'm on my feet my of my shift and that's shoes hurt my feet after an hour or so. Has that elastic strap inside of shoe and makes it too narrow. They are lite but don't feel they would last too long in comfort for a working nurse.

I kept hearing great things about Hoka so I decided to try them. They have some good cushioning but the way they are made hurt my feet. The insole comes way up on the side near your arch and it's hard. That rubs on my foot and creates a blister. The rest of the shoe is fine! It's very lightweight and soft.

I don't like labels..and unfortunately" HOKA" is written way too loud and clear for my taste. The shoe was comfortable, and I'm sure would've been fine if not for that "announcement"!
