I clean floors at a hospital. They are comfortable and don't hurt my feet or back but every time I walk on a wet floor they squeak LOUDLY for a few minutes. Embarrassing!

Shoe felt great out of the box. After a weeks wear started to feel loose and floppy. Should have ordered a half size smaller

This is my second pair of Hokas and I'm hoping for a secondary because they are all I wear. But these just seem to fit odd and now I've worn them so cannot return them.

I really like how these shoes look, love the color. When I put them, they felt so good until I started walking and found out they do not over any arch support for over pronation. I am a nurse and on my feet alot so I have to wear good shoes. I even tried other orthotic supports in them but it made them even more uncomfortable. I am going to try to find something to put in them but if not, will return them.

Nice color size was correct; but Clifton 8 was not as soft as the Clifton 7.

I am disappointed in my shoes. I have several friends who recommended these Hokas and so I finally decided to order a pair and received them yesterday. The style and blue fog color and the tops are stretchy and roomy for your toes and look good and felt good when I put them on but..... the first step immediately told me that they don't have any arch support. I tried to take a short walk and they rubbed the insert of my foot alot. Tried them again today but only walked 1 block and my feet hurt too bad. I am am nurse and have to have comfortable shoes. Will be sending them back.

I absolutely LOVE my Clifton 7s - best athletic shoe I've ever worn. I have problem feet/ankles/knees/hips due to rheumatoid arthritis and my 7s made walking for exercise SO much better. I loved them so much that I wore the soles down and the treads off, so I began looking for a replacement. My local running store did not have the Clifton 8s in stock in my size, so I tried the Bondi, but they didn't work for me. The store clerk suggested I order the Clifton 8s in my size directly from the Hoka website. I was super excited to get my new shoes, but SO disappointed when I tried wearing them. The 8s are SO different from the 7s!
THE GOOD: The only positive change is that the laces of the 8s are shorter (I always had to double or triple tie the laces of my 7s so as not to trip on them). The outer sole still seems to offer good cushion.
THE BAD: There's something about the heel that feels stiff, thick and irritating, and just doesn't fit comfortably for me like the old one. Also, the lining fabric is slick and sweaty/not breathable. The worst changes, though, are in the toe box. The toe box is too narrow - and I do not have a wide foot. When I stepped forward, I could feel the edges of the insole irritating the edges of my feet where the insole and shoe meet at the sides of my feet. Adding to this discomfort is the fact that the laces of the 8s start further toward the front end of the shoe than in the 7s, which caused the first lace to cut off my circulation at the base of my toes making the top of my foot tingle. I tried loosening the laces, but then my foot was too loose in the shoe. I've sent them back for a replacement and am going to try the same shoe in a wide, just to see if it's any better though the toe box, but I don't have my hopes up too high.
I really hope the next version is improved!

The Clifton 7 in 9 wide almond milk had been my favorite shoe for years; style and fit. They accommodate my bad hip and wide flat feet. I bought 2 pair before they stopped making them.
I tried these in the wide and now the metatarsal area is too narrow, the toe box is too narrow and shaped differently (I didn't see my toe knuckle print in the 7s). The TPU accents across the toe are gone (now its just the delicate Jaquard material. The new padded tongue is chunky and unnecessary, and the lace eyelets are too far apart (horizontally across the toe box). Overall the silhouette on the 7s fit better and looked better. I've noticed this from how they fit me and from seeing other with them on in the gym.
What a bummer. If it's not broke don't fix it, cause you might break it! I might try the Rincon as its the last show that has that same Sihlouette as the Clifton 7 but it has no colors I like (doesn't come in solids).

Everyone recommends them and I don't mind spending the amount of money, but for a shoe that I will wear all day walking in, they are to tight for a wide and uncomfortable. Went back to my old shoes that are wide fit and I do not have to stretch them out. They are comfortable right off the bat for half the price

I exchanged my first order for Clifton 8 shoes. I am disappointed in these also. These were recommended by customer service. I explained I needed better arch support and not as wide.
It seems, to me, Hoka shoes are for wide feet and have little overall support and arch support.

I love Hokas, but the Clifton 8s felt so much larger and wider on my feet compared to the 7s.

I bought these because it said they were great for running/walking. I walk every day and I bought these to replace my other Hokas that are a little worn out. But I find myself grabbing the old Hokas vs my new ones. I don't have a wide foot at all And have never needed to buy wide shoes but these are a little too narrow even for me.

I really wanted to love these shoes but the insert on them just wasn't right and rubbed on my arch. Such a bummer because other than the insert the shoes felt like they'd be comfortable but had to send them back. My husband has a pair that the insert starting bugging him on as well. If the inserts were fixed I'd be a fan.

The shoe had a hot spot for me and wasn't great. It also did not fit the same as my previous clifton 8's. I think the design was changed slightly on this show and unfortunately didn't work for me.

This is my second pair of the exact model. On the first pair, the tread started peeling off the bottom and the fabric at the inside backs (above the heel, below the ankles) wore away and the foam started coming out. I loved wearing them and the defects didn't start to occur for six months, so I was OK with it enough to order a replacement. The replacement arrived, and now after wearing them for one month the fabric on inside back has worn away again and I can see the foam. I love everything about this shoe except that it doesn't hold up at all over time. I have about 75 miles total (walking/running) on this pair and they are already falling apart.

I am sad but these were not comfy. After working 12 hours the bottom of my feet hurts and not enough support. Can I return and get another Hoka. This is my 4th pair not happy.

Horribly constructed shoe and very uncomfortable. They are high in heel and low in front, putting pressure on the front of the foot like a high heel does. I cannot imagine why anyone would wear this all day or for sports. I am planning to dump these at a thrift store. I had to see an acupuncturist multiple times to correct my misalignment from wearing these horrors. Also, light colors get dirty quickly,

I really wanted to love these shoes, sadly they're going back. I'm a Brooks girl yet I was willing to try these really cute shoes. They are a half size bigger so order down. They swallowed my feet and I felt like a platypus in them. They were awkward for me to walk in. The arch support was decent and I loved the ventilation. I would exchange for a size down but there was something the feel of the sole that just didn't work for me.
