These were a present to myself after total knee replacement recovery had gotten to the point where I could take serious walks again. I went all-out on the color and was very excited to get these snazzy shoes: I have three other pairs of Hokas, which last me, on the average, one year. I'm very disappointed in these shoes. They make a squeeky-squelchy noise with EVERY step. The comfort and performance are fine, but the noise is noticeable and rather embarassing, frankly. I'd like a replacement pair sent to me, ASAP. Thank you.
I'd also recommend:
None. I am a Hoka loyalist, but if I get another squeeky/squelchy pair, I will move on.

I bought these shoes because they were recommended for plantar fasciitis. They are not providing enough support for me and I still get pain in my feet if I wear them for a day. I would say they are ok, but not that great to buy it again.

I have worn Clifton for about 15 years ad loved them. This Clifton feels like they forgot to put the padding in which is what I loved about them in the .

While the shoe is very comfortable I felt like they were too bulky for my feet with not enough support.

Several friends had recommended these, they were very light and I put them on and went for a walk. The boxy style just doesn't work for me. I'm looking for a friend who might be able to use them bc I have worn them and I can't return them.

I bought Hoka shoes at the recommendation of my niece and her husband. A problem with buying on line: you don't really know what you will get. These shoes have a negative heel not in description. It was bad for my bursitis and the shoes were not comfortable. Sorry I bought them.

I wish I could say that I love them, and even though my orthotics fit in the shoes, they squeeze my feet too much to wear comfortably. I have to return them.

The fit is good and easy to slip on and wear around the house but not great for walking around the neighborhood - not enough cushion

These are just ok. I weightlift and run. I sent the first 2 pair back because the sizing and insole was not great for me. This is my third attempt with a different style. They are light weight which is great, but they still do not fit my feet great.

The everything was good except for my arches. I tried them for awhile thinking they just needed to break in. Nope, had to return them they were hurting my feet too bad. Got the Clifton 9ms though and they are fantastic.

i bought as a walking shoe. Although the Kawana in the same size fits me, my heels slip out in these. They weren't particularly comfortable for me either. Definitely returning.

Walking, running. I have Clifton 4 and I really love it. But this Clifton 8 is not even close. They're less cushiony, and they hurt my left foot. I'm not sure if it's the particular model or only this pair that are not good. I wish I could return them.

These shoes fit a little narrow and they weren't as padded as I was hoping for.

I am a member at Orange Theory, and pretty much every other member has a pair of Hokas. Many of my friends have a pair, too, so when I was in the market for a new pair of running shoes, I jumped off the bridge and ordered a pair. I was unfortunately disappointed. They were way too wide for my feet and impossible to run in. However, I could not size down because the length was fine. If I just needed them for daily wear, I would have kept them because they were comfortable. Additionally, I could tell that the bounce/shocks were great, but in my opinion, if you have long narrow feet, these aren't for you. Or at the very least, try them on in a store first.

Disappointed that this size 8.5 is about 1/2 inch shorter than last two pair of Hoka Clifton shoes I purchased. Returning shoes.

I love my shoes so much, they offer me so much comfort and support. My only issue is they are already falling apart at the toe of shoe where the tip of sole meets the fabric and separating. Super frustrating, especially for price paid. Have only had them for 2 full months.

I've returned both Clifton 8, trying a men's in my size to make sure I wasn't crazy and a women's. The 1st pair I owned were a mens due to lack of my size (purchased in a shoe store). They are hard seaming to have no cloud cush as my first pair about a year ago. And the mid bar is felt through arch especially hard (painful). Im bummed I cant fine another pair.

I haven't owned my Hokas for even a month yet and they are falling apart. The toe reflectors are peeling off on each shoe.

I'm so disappointed, I was using my Clifton and excited about finally a great shoe, but then I went more than 5+ miles walking and got major blisters even a month into having the shoe and wearing it on the tread. I really wanted to love the Hokas but have tried other pairs too and it just hasn't worked out

I am in healthcare. I finally broke down and paid for these shoes. When I first put them on, I was a little weirded out by the rocking motion. But I soon got used to it and figured it was helpful with my running up and down the hallway. After a month my feet and leg started hurting again.guess I will try inserts to see if I can get another couple months wear out of them.

These Cliftons were sold out when Hoka came out with the plain colors. I don't know why they decided to make others that just don't sell as the plain colors do. Horrible marketing strategy. I love my plain white Clidfton and wanted more, but every color was sold out in my size back in October, November, and leading to December, out of stock and now they switched to other colors, blue and orange, yellow blue, orange in a shoe, horrible, just not for it. BRING BACK THE PLAIN COLORS. The plain colors were the best ones!

I have been buying Hoka's (Clifton) for years! The first time that I put on the shoe it was like stepping in heaven. So soft and so comfortable. Over the years I have had several pair each time they were a little less comfortable. I have been buying the same style every time. This last pair that I got to go on a mission trip are so uncomfortable I had to take out the insole and put in a Dr. Scholl's insert and they still don't fit right. I had surgery on my feet years ago and these shoes were recommended to me. When I bought the first few pair I said I would never wear another brand. Any suggestions? Well now I am going to have to shop for a new brand. So sorry, just being honest. Maybe I need to try another style. I just hate it when I find something that I REALLY like and the quality goes bad.

The shoes left my feet hot and they seemed too narrow. Not comfortable for my feet at all. The return process was easy and the refund prompt. Unfortunately the return shipping was deducted from the refund. Otherwise I would have tried a different version.

My feet literally feel broken after my 8 hour shift at the clinic. The inside puts so much pressure on the arch. I will go back to my Onclouds.
