It’s a lot of shoe. There’s a lot going on with the style and features and fit. Comfort level was 11, so squishy yet supportive. One of the features is the heel which provides energy return but when I stood up, I nearly fell backwards, several times. It’s a bit too squishy for me. Style is different, it’s like several layers of whipped cream and angel food cake with a tiny bit of actual shoe on top. They looked awkward and clunky. The arch support did not work for my right foot so back they went.

I went from years and years with Brooks ghost/glycering. The cushion is pretty similar. But, I have a narrow foot. No matter if there is a lace lock or not...they still slip. Due to my foot surgery, I have to stay in a rocker shoe. I've tried all 3, the Clifton, to me, works better--I just wish they weren't as wide, or offered a narrow.

Love everything about these shoes but I should have purchased a half size smaller.

I walk 5plus miles a day and over 20 miles on total on weekends . It was a painful period of breaking on this shoe . Not as cushiony when I walk . May try the new Bondi 7 . Would have returned Clifton but threw away box !

This shoe gets tight at the back right before my ankle just past the tongue on shoe. I bought a wide for that reason
I have neuropathy in my feet and I needed something very comfortable. I can only wear them about half a day. If you have a suggestion I would love to hear it. I loved the look of the shoe but not comfy

These are so comfy but unfortunately, on both feet, there was substantial rubbing on the back/side of my foot at ankle height. I would definitely get blisters with this kind of rubbing...They went back

Mediocre at best. Felt okay when I first put them on but after a couple of days, not so good. I have to wear thinner socks, the right shoe pinches my baby toe and all-in-all not a wonderful shoe. Too bad. Hoka used to be fantastic. Not so any more.

I am a diabetic with neuropathy. I wanted cushion. The shoe is hard and the insole is nothing to write home about. My instep hit the edge of the insole and the design of the shoe on the inside. Just not made for my feet. Bummer. Nice looking shoe. Not a Hoka girl. Darn it.

I liked the shoe but it runs small and narrow. Not as soft and cushioned as I expected. I returned them for the Arahi shoe.

Started wearing HOKA due to feet and knee issues. I have never had a problem until now. For some reason this style makes my feet slide to the sides. Developed blisters first time out .

The shoe makes my size 10 foot look even bigger. A little uncomfortable in my arches since I'm flatfooted.

I was so excited to try my first pair of Hoka's. I asked around to many people and didn't hear a bad thing about them. In fact, many people told me they were their favorite shoes and didn't want to wear anything else. I ordered my first pair and sadly after one use they were too tight in the toe area. I was glad for Hoka's generous exchange policy to exchange them for a wide. I was a bit concerned to exchange for a wide because I've never had to buy a wide tennis shoe before. Then, the awful wait for the exchange. It took well over a month to finally get my new pair. That was also after contacting customer service twice. Thankfully, the wide fit.but, I don't get the hype? They are soft to walk in, but truthfully they don't feel much different than my other tennis shoes. I do spend money on quality shoes and I can tell the difference. Maybe the Clifton just wasn't for me?

While these shoes are mostly comfortable (seem to want to roll to the outside), the main problem I have with them is that they are very noisy. I have tried all the tricks such as putting powder in them but still they are very loud which limits where I can wear them. Any ideas??

I bought these for long days at the hospital. I have Hoka Bondis that I LIVE IN, and absolutely love. I had hoped these would be a similar substitute, because I couldn’t find the Bondis in the color I needed for work. I wear a 7.5 in the Bondi, so I ordered a 7.5 in these. I was surprised when I first put them on, they were definitely less comfortable than the Bondis, and fit more snug. I read they ran a bit small, and I agree with those reviews. I would definitely size up in the future. I ended up returning them, they had less arch support than the Bondis, and my feet and back didn’t feel great at the end of the day. I pronate inward and have fallen arches, so these didn’t feel like a great fit for me. Your mileage may vary!

My recent purchase makes me think that the love is over. I really believe that this last pair is not near the quality of the first two. They just don't feel the same way!! Before, I felt like I had so much support and cushion for my feet and now I believe it feels less so.

The right shoe was great. Fit was good and very comfortable. However, the left shoe was a different matter. The seam connecting the tongue and the gusset along with the back edge of the gusset rubbed the inside of my foot. Tried a thicker sock but it didn't help. Returning this shoe.

The new Hoka Clifton 8 is not near as good as the 7. The arch support is less and seems to be cheaply made for the price. Hoka please do better on the 9 or I will be switching brands.

I have these in the same size in a different color and they fit perfectly. These are too tight in the toe box.

I wore these shoes for about 3 days once received. I am a women's size 12 and I ordered the size 12. I have never really had a show be too big for me. These were spacious. I thought at 1st that I kinda like it but they were too much. I had a good 1/2" to 1" of space. I also was having some rubbing on the right heel. I kept removing the shoe thinking something was in there. I ended up returning.

I have purchased 10-12 pair of Hokas for my family members and myself. I believe we started with the Clifton 5, and I have purchased some here and some in a local retail store. This pair of Clifton 8 does not seem to match the quality I have purchased before. They do not seem to provide the same support.

I wear these every day for several hours on my feet in concrete for work. I have some issues with my feet. They feel ok but then again they are too loose and just don't seem to keep my foot in position in the shoe, it slides around. I feel the Bondi 7 do much better for my feet.

I think you should get 1/2 size smaller, if you go with their size guide. I liked the lookout did not give me the comfort that I was hoping for
