These shoes are not designed for running but Gore-tex uppers and Vibram soles make them an option for outdoor runs/workouts. I could not find anything else in Hoka line-up. Two years ago bought Mid-rise Speedgoat4's but they are heavy and not easy to move in. Will wear the Speedgoats for walking and the Anacapa's for running.I wish Hoka would identify on website shoes that fit my running needs. I took a chance and these seem to work. All black is rather boring but better than light colors. A bit of flash would be fun tho.

They provide a lot choices and colors. Shipping is fast and returns are super easy.

Fit is very comfortable, lots of cushioning, great for walking in mud, soles are nice and thick. Feet stay dry.

They are quite literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever wore. I know they are usually for hiking but I use them for everyday winter weather wear. I can't wait to get more pairs from this brand, I also recommended to a family member, I might get them a pair for Christmas!

Obsessed! Will wear them all day and not feel it at all by the end. It's like walking on clouds! 1000% the most comfortable sneakers/shoes i'ver ever worn. Can't wait to add to my collection with more!. I'm pretty narrow/medium footed and the fit is great. I ordered a 9.5 and it's great, though I think I could probably have gotten away with a 9. I share this to say that I think the sneakers run true to size if maybe a hair long.

What can I say? These are the best hiking shoes, everyday shoes, and comfort shoes. They don't squeeze my feet in the toe box, they support all the important spots, have multiple methods for tying them, and most importantly, they are waterproof, which has been useful during this rainy weather! A friend of the family, who is a surgeon, swears by HOKA, and I can see why.

These shoes are outstanding! I work in the construction industry and am an avid hiker/walker/fitness person in general and I have THE pickiest feet. I found the toe box to be very roomy and the shoes to be made incredibly well. These should last a good long time and I personally think they're rather attractive.

Hoka runs narrow for me so I exchanged for a wide. The exchange was easy and I got the new pair really fast. They're great, very comfortable.

I needed a pair of shoes that could take this 71 yr old through a rainy winter of walking every day. These do the trick, I come home with warm, dry feet, that feel great. My favorite outdoor play shoes. Love 'em.

I have severe foot issues and am planning a 12K foot/climb hike and although, I love Speedgoats and typically used them for hiking...the Anacapa is amazing!!! My husband and I both have a pair and can't say enough wonderful things about them. Big fan ...

Wore almost straight out of the box for three days of hiking at Minnesota's North Shore. Comfortable, relatively breathable for GTX, and sturdy. Highly recommended for adventures.

I love that these Hokas are amazingly comfortable! I'm able to hike up and down hills without sliding--They have great grip!

GREAT grip! One of the best I've had. I felt safe walking on loose gravel bc the grip held me well. Not slippery on Boulders either.
