bought the shoes for every day use because they are waterproof. love the fit of the shoe. the only thing I don't care for are the laces. I have a hard time keeping them tied.

These may be a smidge large but since I wanted my feet to have room to expand over long hikes, I was glad for the extra toe space. I have searched for a new pair of hiking shoes for years and in the past I didn't find the Hoka hikers to be that comfortable out of the box, but I gave them another try and am glad I did. I happy to have a quality waterproof hiking shoe with good traction that I can comfortably walk in for miles.

Per other reviews, definitely half size smaller than other Hoka shoes--- I wear a 9.5 Bondi 8 and the size 10 was a better fit with this shoe---

I started having heel pain over a year ago. My podiatrist recommended HOKA's. I started wearing the recovery slide and it was so comfortable I wore them all summer. My pain stated to subside. I then bought a pair of Brandi's. Great for walking and easy on my heels. Now I purchased these low hiking boots for winter wear and waterproof for all weather. They are so comfortable my heel pain is completely gone and I can actually enjoy going bare foot again!! Thank you HOKA for shoes that cushion and repair foot issues.

i ordered this shoe in both size 9.5 and 10. I was pretty sure the 9.5 would fit, but Zappos said I needed the 10. Nope, I returned the 10. I have several pairs of Hoka in 9.5. I was correct about my size. I wanted the shoe because of its style but mostly because it's GORE-TEX. I need rain protection shoes! I've tried them out on a non-rainy day, for a 1 mile walk. Great comfort and lightweight. I tried them with and without substituting a special insert for more support - absolutely unnecessary. The insert that comes with the shoes is sufficient. I'm happy. These will be my travel shoes.

Perfect for me, I can't say stylish but that's not what I wanted. They're very comfortable and supportive for my walks and being walter proof is great. I ordered a size up to 8.5 since I have a wide foot. I used my VIP $ which helped a bunch. Thank you Zappos!!!

I've been wearing Hoka shoes for years. For most of my life I've had joint issues that's are genetic and, since I can't run anymore, walking is my main form of cardio. In my experience, Hoka shoes don't need a breaking in period.

Light weight, super cushioned and a nice wide toe box for all day comfort. Now I have three styles of HOKA shoes and I love them all. In fact, I'm taking a pair to the UK for month of walking, exploring, and who knows, dancing in comfort all night!

I purchased these to use when it snows. Right now I'm wearing them inside the house to make sure they fit correctly. They are quite comfortable and seem to have a tread that will work well.
