I recently bought these boots after receiving targeted ads on Instagram, thank goodness I did! I wasn't completely sold on the only color that was available at the time, & I packed them on a recent trip out west unsure if I would even use them. I pulled them on one more morning before a day of hiking at Rocky Mountain National Park and I CANNOT get over how comfortable they were. Zero time breaking them in, and they brought all day comfort! I wore them the next day and it was the exact same thing. I received endless compliments too, from fellow hikers, so much so it became a running joke between my partner and I. I have since ordered additional pairs for Christmas gifts. Do not sleep on these boots! I sized half a size up and felt completely comfortable.

Super comfortable and great cushioning for long wear and they're so beautiful. The color and feel of them is just perfect.

Walking on clouds!!! I was extremely impressed with the durability of the shoes, comfort, support and water resistant. I didn't want to take them off after my hikes. They saved my feet! So glad I made the purchase totally with the investment. I did biy a half size larger and I'm glad I did. I wear a 7. It allowed my feet enough room to expand.

Grabbed this hiking boot for a 2-week trip to Alaska where all terrains and all weather would be in the cards. Though a first time hiking boot buyer, I'm a trail runner and very familiar with Hoka, so I was stoked to find that Hoka also has hiking boots! I instantly liked the style and color options Hoka offered vs competitors, and the fit was perfect, even with narrow feet. The boot is solid for tough hikes and protection in wet conditions & stream crossings, yet light enough to travel with on and off my feet, without them feeling like bricks in my suitcase. They kept me warm when it was cool and cool when it was warm. I grabbed another pair of Hoka hiking boots so I'd have two options, and while this one had slightly less ankle support than the other due to the height, it was still PLENTY and very comfortable for my needs. Highly recommend!

I just love this, heard a lot of good things about Hoka from my colleagues at work (Operating Room) and it really is amazing! I think its worth every penny if your investing on something that would last for years,, its so comfy and I didn't get any blister from my recent hike.. I love traveling to many places to take photos and this pair of shoes really does help me in terms of comfort from long walks and it is water resistant too! Well done! Looking forward to my second purchase, this time for my work shoes.. :)

I've heard great things about Hoka so when I needed some hiking boots with good ankle support after an injury I decided to give them a try. I love that they aren't overly padded around the ankle and felt that that gave me better support than other brands that have lots of padding. It also allowed the boot to dry faster after getting wet.
I was disappointed in the insole though because that's what people rave about. I didn't feel like it fit my foot very well and didn't have any arch support or any cushioning. After just a few miles of hiking my feet were sore.

I would recommend sizing up half a size, I am usually a 7.5 but decided to order an 8 because of other reviews I read, and I'm glad I did. Overall shoes are very good and live up to being water resistant, as my socks were completely dry after mist trails in Yosemite (I was also walking through large puddles of water). Only negative thing I have to say is that the laces are a tad bit short which makes them annoying to tie.

So I have had these pair for a little over a year. I live in New England and do moderate hiking with lots of roots and rocks and these sneakers held up from 4-8mile hikes with inclines. Got lots of compliments on the trials with them. They grip well and support my feet with no pain. This were my first pair of hokas, but won't be my last.

I've been breaking down the boots for a trip to the Amazon jungle where is muddy, raining and uneven ground.
I've actually being wearing them all the time, for everything!! It's been snowing here and I love how my feet are dry. I'll have to update my review after my trip on a super hot and humid weather, but I'm sure they will not disappoint. The only down and the reason for 4 starts is because they are not on WIDE. All my hokas are wide and I'm sad this are not, my pinky toe is a little upset but it's fine, it will adjust

I could tell these would be the best hiking boots ever if they weren't so narrow!
I have slightly wide feet (more high volume than wide), but I have never really "had" to buy wide shoes unless the shoe runs very narrow. This is definitely that shoe... they visually LOOK narrow. I wore them around the house for an hour or so and my feet went numb. I could feel the edges of the sole at the ball of my foot, and my foot definitely felt pinched. It's really important that I can spread the ball of my foot out during my 20-mile hikes otherwise my feet cramp up and my tendons aren't stretched out as they should be. There NEEDS to be a wide option for this hiking boot because otherwise, I LOVE IT. The toe box width was fine but just extremely narrow at the ball of the foot where the foot is typically the widest.
The ankle support is amazing, I have never stepped into a boot that so perfectly supports my foot pronation. There were no edges digging in or weird pulling/tension in the boot with nearly ZERO give at all when I relax my foot. It's like the pronation never existed! They are super lightweight yet still feel durable and reliable. So if you have narrow feet, these are for you! Please make some wide options, or suggest a similar boot that may work for my high volume feet!

I purchased these in March but waited until May to review because I wanted to use the shoes before passing judgement on them.
WHAT I LIKE:
Easy to break in - comfortable
Good gripping sole
Unique design
Great speed lacing system
WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED:
Insole is mediocre - I purchased another with a Met pad
Rather warm - my feet are steamy
I have plantar fasciitis on one foot and a surgically repaired hammertoe on the other. Getting shoes that are comfortable for long hikes is a huge challenge and these are living up to that challenge.

I was so excited to try these out. About the third or fourth hike in them, I got my first bee sting right on my ankle. Two more bees were trying to land on my legs! Needless to say, don't be dumb like me and order the pollen colored shoe, unless you want to be popular with the bees.

Although I love how light these trail boots are and the trail grip they provide - the design is flawed. The inside seam on both inner ankles is stiff, hurts and causes sores when laced to the top. The low cut back design lets leaves and dirt get into the shoe. I tried rearranging the tongue, wearing thicker socks helps a little but shouldn't really be necessary with a high priced boot like this.

These are nice lightweight hiking shoes with the support typical of Hoka. I have severe arthritis in my big toe and Hoka's make hiking and walking significantly more comfortable. However, beware, they are not made for hiking in snow, mud or wet conditions. Not sure why you would design a 3/4 high hiking boot with such a low heel. I've worn mine twice on hardpacked snow; both times I ended up with wet, cold feet. Bad design unless you hike on flat, paved surfaces.

Love the function of the shoe but just doesnt fit right. The back loop that is on the inside of the shoe has rubbed my foot so bad its swollen and I have an open wound. Love these shoes but just not a good fit.

I was looking for new hiking boots, i usually wear keens or merrells, and love hoka challenger or torrent for trail running, and these had great reviews. I did not like them at all. The laces are thin sharp strings that lock into clips instead of threading thru eyelet holes. The back of the ankle like the achilles dips pretty far down so i felt like they didn't even have any ankle support either. The tongue is very thin and felt strange for the rest of the shoe being a boot. The arch supports also started abruptly way up under the ball of my foot, where i felt it immediately and imagine would blister after a few miles at best. Returned them.

Love the light weight, but the exaggerated heel made walking down stairs dangerous. Looking for a good hiking shoe with lots of cushion, waterproof, and made for people with shin splints and meniscus problems.

The size was fine the fit is terrible. Ordered these for the goretex feature as I have the Anacapa Breeze. These have an additional hook right at the ankle which digs in and causes bruising and sores on my ankle bone. Would not recommend for people with smaller ankles.

Really cool and comfortable but they broke. I will return them and hopefully the next pair will not break. Hoping this pair was just a lemon.

Loved that this would be waterproof and supportive, but got a lot of ankle pain because of the construction of the upper part of the shoe. Hard spots and rubbing where all of the grommets/connectors are for the tongue and the lace holders, mostly at the ankle bone area. The design seems flawed.
