I wore these shoes walking on forest roads and trails for 2 months. Then I wore them backpacking for 25 miles, uneven terrain, 80 degree temps. I had blisters on the 2nd day. The shoes do not breathe well, resulting in hot sweaty feet and blisters.
I have a size 8 foot medium width, narrow heel. I purchased a size 8 in this boot. Really liked them until I put some hard miles on 'em

Super cute but way too narrow. I was hoping they would be comfy right out of the box, like the Bondi but these are narrow and would need a little bit of time to break in the material is thicker than their other shoes I guess because they are waterproofing.

These boots feel simultaneously too large and too small. The heel pushes my foot into the toe box where my toes get smooshed. I keep having to slide my foot back in the shoe so my heel is touching the back.
I’ve tried tying them tighter or looser but it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve now hiked about 20-30 miles on them to give them a fair evaluation and wish I could return them. I spent so much money on them that I feel obligated to keep wearing them but they’re terrible for hiking.

Seriously, I have cowboy boots with a wider toe box than these booties. Its as though they were designed for a womans foot that was accustomed to being jammed into a pair of stiletto heels. Net fail with regard to the design of the Anacapa , and they arent available in "wide".

Purchased these shoes to assist with plantar fasciitis; however the material has been rubbing against the left front ankle causing pain. I thought after breaking them in; the pain would be alleviated, that has not been the case. Planning on returning the product as soon as I get a day off.

I have several pairs of Hoka trail shoes. I splurged on the Hoka hiking boots and they are extremely narrow. I do not have a wide foot. I have the regular width version of trail shoes. Had to return the hiking boots which are not available in wide. I went to a store and tried on a couple of other models and they seem normal. Why are the Anacapas so narrow? I lost $10 in shipping returning them. Would not recommend unless you have narrow feet. I also don't understand the painful seam on the side. Poor design, unlike Hoka. For the record, I wear a size 8 shoe and always buy a size 9 in trail shoes/hiking boots. I would expect the size 9 Anacapas to be a bit oversized to allow my foot to swell during rigorous activity.

Received product and when trying on the shoe size the metal lace holder popped off and broke off the shoe.

I have a wide foot but tried the "b" width. I could barely pull the boot on since it was so tight even after I loosened the laces. It was too narrow for me.

I wore these for one hike and they were great for the hike. The second time I went to lace them up the top shoelace hook completely came off. I don't consider myself to be particularly strong, I'm actually quite small, so it seems as though there is a manufacturing defect. Was contemplating exchanging but don't want to deal with this again so I'll probably just return and get new hiking shoes elsewhere.

Disappointed with the metal part in my Hoka shoes. It has caused open wounds on my feet and makes wearing the shoes unbearable. Although I appreciate the overall design and comfort of the shoes, this issue has made it impossible for me to continue wearing them.
I would like to request that you re-evaluate the design of this shoe and consider removing the metal part in future models. In the meantime, I will be repairing the shoes on my own, as I would like to continue using them.

I have been a huge HOKA fan for years. I own 4 pairs of walking/running shoes and 2 pairs of hiking shoes. I was hoping this updated model would feel the same as my last pair but NO! Toe box too narrow, my regular size felt short and one step into the shoe and I knew it wouldn't work for my hiking adventures. Waiting now for the full refund.

I had high hopes for these boots, and they arrived just in time for impending winter weather.
There was no width choice/option available on the website, but my order showed D (standard) width, so I placed my order. What arrived was labeled on the box as B width. The boot was between 2-3 inches wide. I don't know how a human foot could squeeze in a B width, especially in a larger size, but they exist. The website had no option to exchange, 9r change the width, so I returned.

Way to narrow in the toe box (and I have a narrow foot). Otherwise, this would be a GREAT shoe... good stability and comfortable... just wish it had a wider toe box like the Keen Shoes.

I have been buying the Toa GTX over and over, for years.
For some reason, it was discontinued and replaced with this.
This shoe has very painful, bulky stitching inside that is extremely painful on the ankle bone.
Will have to search out another brand now.
Very disappointing.

I'm a size 8.5 wide. I ordered a 9 since this does not come in a wide for reasons I cannot understand. The 9 was too small. So disappointed. Please make the good colors and styles in a wide!!!!

Hard to say. It is very lightweight. Exactly what I wanted for work, but towards the end of the day, I was not able to walk. It is much smaller than the true size. Really tight. I'm not too happy with the high purchase and an uncomfortable shoes.

I bought sneakers this past year and I will never buy another sneaker anywhere else. Love them! As soon as I saw the boots I ordered a pair. The minute I put them on I noticed one sole was thicker than the other and they were generally just not comfortable at all. I immediately sent them back which was a painless process. I'm only writing because I want the company to know they need to look into the discrepancy in height or thickness of the soles or bottom of the boots. Could have been a fluke but I knew I couldn't keep them.

The shoe was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable in the foot bed, but with the hook lace up, the grommets were drilling into my ankle bones, as there was not enough padding at the top of the shelf impossible to wear. I ordered them half a size bigger to put an additional insert.
