Super comfy when you put them on however tans unlike my Clifton's, they are too narrow in the toe box. Reminds me of the original hokas.

I'm a huge fan of the Rocket X, and was looking for a training shoe with more cushion for my ailing knees but also the carbon plate (because that seems to help my ailing Achilles tendons too...what can I say? I'm a mess). But I tried these on several runs and they are just way too much shoe for me. I'm a smaller person, at 125 lb, size 6.5 running shoe, and these just feel like inflexible boats. I waited too long to return them (I really wanted them to work), so I've kept them as good walking shoes. They feel great to walk in, very cushioned and stable. Just not flexible enough for a run for a smaller female (long time) runner.

First- get a dark color. The material grabs dirt very easily and it swear it's a magnet. A little too chunky on the heel, don't go down stairs with them on. My chins seems to have an issue with these shoes but I'm hoping it works itself out.
I've noticed a discoloration on the fabric as well, I ordered the light teal color, I wish I had gotten black.

This is I think my tenth pair of Bondi shoes. I have several mechanical issues with my feet and ankles and I honestly thought I had found my athletic shoe for life. When I reordered I would get two pair so I'd have a backup. But this new BondiX is not the same. The hallux rigidus problem I have came back almost immediately, within the first few days of wearing the new pair. And then a couple weeks in the ankle pains I get from severe overpronation also came back. The same support is not there. I know Bondi isn't the most supportive Hoka style but it has worked really well for me in the past but not any longer. I am sad to say they are no longer working for me and my search for a new make begins.

I am A die-hard Bondi girl. That she works for me like no other. So I thought hey this looks really great so I'm going to give it a try. The fit was disappointing and the tongue length was so short that it kept working its way down into the shoe which made the shoe strings sit right on the top of my foot. For me it was not comfortable at all and nothing like the other Bondis.

I have worn Bondis for awhile and had to send these back. I don't know why companies have to mess with a good thing. While the base was still comfortable, the way they changed something (whether the flat tongue or what) made them slip on my heel. I couldn't keep them because of that. I also didn't like the way the back of the heel stick out - it looks like a boat hull. Maybe it you have a wider heel it would be ok.

I'm not crazy about the Bondi X. While they're plush, they hit higher on the ankle than the Bondi 7. They're definitely not for running. I won't be buying them again, especially at the extremely high price.

The shoe fits extremely large and the top does not have enough support. I was expecting more from the shoe. I will go back to the Gaviota 3 style .

Normally wear Bondi 7, but wanted to try the Bondi X to see if I liked it better. They were look and feel larger but the cushion is similar to the Bondi 7.

I had high hopes for these, as I have been running in Bondi 6’s and 7’s for a few years now but wanted something a bit more responsive. Not sure what happened here, but it is *not* the same cushioned ride Hoka is known for. The medial arch feels stiff like metal - like a plate of some sort - with no give, so you have to really toe strike vs mid foot strike to relieve that stiffness and discomfort. Also, I had to use all the lacing holes to get a snug enough fit around the ankle collar. Normally I do not have to go that high with the laces on any other running shoes I have. Overall, I was disappointed enough that at this price point they’re going back and I’m sticking with my Bondis for now. Bummer.

I am developing an issue with my right foot with slight pronation as posterior tibial tendonitis is a factor. It is also affecting alignment of the metatarsal of the big toe ball. With this, I need a shoe with ample width. This shoe did not come with a "wide" option, but reviews indicated that it might be wide enough. This shoe was very uncomfortable for my right foot....therefore a "no-go" for me. I have the Clifton 7 and have some Protalus inserts for ankle stabilization and arch support and they are like walking on marshmallows.....SO comfortable! The X was nowhere near as cushy.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka One One Clifton 7; New Balance 1080

Gives my toe pain after any run longer than 4 miles and I typically have no problem running in any type of shoe. So sad I barely use it.

My first Hoka shoes was the Bondi 7. They are so cushioned, I can walk all day and my knees, back, and plantar fasciitis are fine (I don't run). When I read that the Bondi X is even more cushioned, I bought the Bondi X even though it's white (I usually avoid white because of dirt). Surprisingly, the cushioning in the X is less than the 7! And as others have mentioned, the shape of the tongue is uncomfortable and thin. On the positive side, the base is wider so it's more stable. But since I'm primarily looking for cushion and comfort, so I'm returning them.

*My husband bought these for me as I didn't want to pay as much for shoes.*I love Hoka Bondi. They were a little more pricey than I was used to paying but after getting my Hoka Bondi 6 pair a couple of years ago, I was sold! They have held up great but were, of course, starting to break down some. I am a walker and also a nurse on the go. I wanted to wait til the new Bondis came out before purchasing anything new. I was a bit taken aback at the price but I was sure they would be worth it. I also a bit disappointed with the limited color. White usually isn't a good color for a nurse who is at the bedside (Hoka, if you want medical professionals at the bedside to purchase shoes, we need colors other than white!). I was excited to get them and although I'm not completely disappointed, I not completely satisfied. I didn't like the tongue of the shoe ...not padded enough which makes it tough for older fingers to get a hold of and rubs a bit while walking. The protruding heel can snag on things in tight quarters of the nursing world. After wearing them now for a couple weeks, I have decided that my 2 year old Bondi 6's are just as comfortable as the Bondi X with the price $50 cheaper! Please go back to the drawing board Hoka. Be what I know you can be.

I ordered an 11 and I think I got a mans shoe. I grabbed them on my way out to a hike and I had no choice to wear them and they just are too big. I have bought in the past and loved them. It was my fault for not trying them before the hike. Be careful they ran big for me.

The shoe feels better than the Bondi 7 in terms of cushion and support but the shoe tongue has an odd shape to it making it difficult to put the shoe on. Sad to say I'm returning the shoe because of this. Very disappointed.

I work in retail and walk at least 20k steps a day 5 days a week so I have turned to Hoka's - this is my 4th pair. As with my previous pairs, they are worn out by the 6-month mark (start to get a hole in the fabric part by the little toe whether purchased wide or regular sizing). I chose this the Bondi X because of the Podiatric recommendation, however my heels started to hurt pretty badly after a few months of consistent wear. I will not be purchasing this style again.

Hoka, what did you do to the Bondi X? Please redesign this shoe! It does not fit like the Bondi 8 at all--the toe box is small and narrow, squishing my toes, but the heel is large and loose and slips. Feels a half size small in the toe box and a full size large in the heel. The tongue is also thin and not a regular cushioned tongue. I have severe feet issues and have had many foot surgeries. I was told to wear a carbon plated shoe, so I purchased this. Besides the poor fit, the carbon plate would have been perfect for my foot needs, and feels supportive and firm and assists with walking. Not sure I can wear this shoe at all because if the odd proportions. Hopefully Hoka re- releases this shoe with more normal foot proportions in the toe box and heel in the next addition. I was so excited for this shoe and wanted it to work!

I I ordered size 8 but it seems like they are 9
Even if I tie the laces tight, they slip out of my heel when I walk.
I would return them but I used them for a whole day.
I ordered Bondi 8 and Rincon 3 before and loved them.
Bondi x ist not bad quality they don't fit right.
