I've been trying to break these in, I am about 60-70 miles in and they constantly feel off. Uneven, too tight then too lose. The tongue is always slipping. They are so expensive and so frustrating. They'll ruin a run.
I've had so many great products from hoka- running shoes, recovery sandals, apparel. I am very disappointed.

So this was disappointing. I have 1 other pair of HOKA's, literally, the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. I walk 45 mins each day and have knee pain. They help so much with this.
So I bought this pair, they were 2 times as much as my previous pair. The soles, are hands down, the most comfortable thing I've ever walked in.
BUT, they cut really deep into my ankles. I had on proper socks, per usual. Walked in them quite a bit, 3 separate occasions, wouldn't break-in.
My other pair took about 2 weeks to break-in. I'm so disappointed and wanted these to not cut into my ankles. Hopefully they will be updated, I am feeling unsure about any other models except my first pair.

The shoes run large . I was looking for the most cushion for standing , walking, and running .

I first order my usual size
And returned for half size smaller but it's still too big and it's impossible to run.. it's a good walking shoes that's about it :(

This was the first of nearly 10 pair of Hokas that didn't fit perfectly out of the box. The heel slipped and my toes weren't comfortable. I have been told that the Biondi X has a different construct. No problem. I'll just go back to some of the other styles.

I returned Bondi x and bought Bondi 7's and had to return both pair of them. I went to a brick and motor store to buy a pair of Bondi 7's because i needed to try them on in store to get the right size. I ended up buying a pair of Bondi 7's at Rogans shoes. The first few weeks they where ok but I noticed at the end of the day the top of my feet where in pain. I just bought a pair of gdefy shoes and my feet are so much happier. The bummer is I now have a hardly used pair of Hokas that are of no use to me. :(

I was so excited to try the latest Bondi - I should've trusted the previous reviews. I suffer from pf so I am willing to pay a higher price for exceptional arch support and heel padding. I had both with the previous Bondi. These fail to provide the same support. Also, the tongue of the sneaker is literally attached almost to the toe. It bunches up when walking and you have to 'dig' under the laces to pull it taut. Sadly these are headed back.
I'd also recommend:
Birkenstock, Teva, Vionic

I am a long-time Bondi wearer. Due to foot issues, I wear them mostly for everyday wear, not for running, although I probably hold the record for world's slowest runner. I'm not a scientist when it comes to knowing what makes one shoe feel better than another, but I am all OUT on Bondi X. I hate them. I'm sorry, I know that's a strong word, but that's the way I feel. If Hoka doesn't correct the Bondi issues, I will be shopping for a new brand. I just ordered some Bondi 7s to tide me over. I won't be wearing my Xs. Weird laces and too-short tongue, in addition to loss of cushioning are among the negatives of this model.

I have been a long time Bondi wearer -- for every day use and mild running. I'm not really a runner, but foot issues led me to Hoka One One and to Bondi. However, the Bondi X doesn't feel the same. I hated the shoes strings and lacing, so I immediately changed those. But, the tongue is too short and makes putting on the shoes more difficult than it should be. Overall, not pleased with the purchase. I'm researching alternatives for my next purchase.

It felt like walking on stones. I love my other Bondi's though and will definitely buy them again.

For an honest rating, this is not a bad product, just not right for me. It was very loose, even when laced up and did not provide a smooth ride. I went back to my Clifton 8's and absolutely love them. The exchange process was simple too! Thanks Hoka!!

The heal was too loose. Had I gone smaller they would not have fit. The toe box was really tight as well

Very bulky running shoe; although I love the focus on comfort and cushion, the back of the shoe is so bulky that it's hard to believe this is a performance shoe:
PLEASE, PLEASE BRING BACK THE VANQUISH!

I was so excited to get my shoes because my daughter bought a pair and loves them. My experience not so good, actually my shoes caused blisters in the back of my heel. So mad that the blood seeped through when I was walking. The first time thought hey I need to break them in. Then again the second time so now just waiting to heel cause I can't wear shoes because of the scabs. No my shoes aren't to small I actually think the shoe has a defect

I've been a Bondi wearer for several years now. I guess I somehow didn't notice this is a completely different shoe than other versions. The sole is huge and extends quite a bit out from the footbed, especially in the back. I bought the Hoka hiking boots with this type of sole, but after hiking a few times in them and at higher mileage, I developed heel/low ankle pain. Decided to just return these. Might work for others, but they are not for me.
