My podiatrist recommended your company- these shoes are saving my feet and ankles- thank you so much! I am an Emergency room nurse and I am walking literally miles every week in the ER! I can't say how happy I am

Please make this in tan in women's in wide or bring stock to 6.5 for men. I do not like these colors!!! Why are the men's styles nicer colors??? Bought in men's but too big for my feet. (7.5 men's) Width is perfect. I didn't walk in them, but just from stepping in and tying were super comfy. The ankle support would be perfect. I hike 6-20+ miles a week and planning some trips the end of this year and beginning of 2022.Please,please make in tan in sizes that will fit petite feet!!!

I have almost no cartilage in my knees and by wearing Hoka's, I can still remain active by walking. I had thought that I needed to give up hiking but after purchasing the Kaha Gore-Tex hikers, I was amazed that I could take on daily hikes in the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, I completed a 5-mile hike which included a 3000 feet change in elevation. As others have written, these hikers are like walking on clouds. You will love them!

I bought these for a trip to Glacier National Park, hiking a total of 24 miles in a week. I was nervous to bring a new boot on a trip that so heavily relied on them working out, but they were great! My feet were never tired even after a full day and I did not have any blisters. The support around the ankle is always appreciated - I usually have a few ankle-breaking moments on each hike and the extra support helps me hike confidently without injury. I did add an orthopedic insert for plantar fasciitis, and that was a helpful addition for me. I also like how lightweight they are, the look of them (I got grey and turquoise), and I like how slim they are around the ankle, I find them flattering. I am usually a 10.5 in sneakers, and ordered a 10.5, they were a bit roomy in the toe which is what you want for a hiking boot.

I pushed the limits on my last pair of work boots and gave myself some recurrent foot pain- just a couple weeks with the new Kahas have made a great difference. If they had composite toe caps they'd be perfect! No real break-in period (some rub at the collar on day 1 but that's a lacing/sock fix) and the fit seems more true to size than my Tor Techs.

I bought these for a 2 day backpacking trip in the Adirondacks, with 3 high peak summits. I have had issues with the arches of my feet hurting and gripping wet rock slabs. These boots exceeded my expectations! They were outstansing on the wet rock. I could walk/run dow wet rock slab and the grip was amazing. I have never felt so confident in my footing coming down from a high peak! The boots were solid for carrying a 35 pound pack for a 5 mile hike in and out. The boots have a significantly larger profile than past boots I've worn and it took a bit getting use to that. The side to side stability is great and I love the high tops and how they kept my foot secure during the downhills. No blisters! I went a half size up and I love them!

This hiking boot has better arch support than other one hoka sells that taller in the back. The fit and plush cushion for my fused ankle is terrific. I can walk without limp! The little clips for lacing up the boot drive me a little nuts but once laced they do keep the laces in place. Attractive boot as well.

Took these on a 2 week wilderness backpacking trip. Never gave me blisters. Most comfortable hiking boots I’ve ever owned. The wide toe box is amazing - boots that finally fit! I waterproofed them and they kept my feet very dry. Highly recommended!

I ordered the Anakapa for its great design, easy snap lacing system at the top of the boot, and vibrant colors, but it's truly designed for hiking and climbing and not plush enough for walking the beat in a correctional facility. I returned them and got the Kaha which is a fabulous replacement for my 3 yo Tor Tech mids that have taken a beating and are still in good shape to wear, but no longer bouyant like they once were for long hours working on your feet. It's sort of reminds me of having to replace tires on your car. I knew as soon as I tried on these Kaha boots tody they were exactly the plush feel of the Tor Techs I was looking for. Very stable and nearly the same Vibram sole as the Tor that I have confidence will have the same tight grip on the facility floors. I love the design of the Kaha which like the Anakapa has a snap in lacing system, but for 2 hooks instead of 3 by design, at the top of the boot. Strong laces, great black and ice blue color contrast and Gortex protection. Tomorrow is day 1 of a full-day trial. I'm not a bit concerned about wearing them all day, I already know they need no breaking in, just like the Tor. I already ordered a 2nd pair!

Both husband and I purchased Hoka hiking boots for our trip to Grand Canyon and Sedona hiking adventures. We were both very pleased with these boots. Excellent support all around for ankles and plantar fasciitis. We love our Hoka Bondi's and now Kaha Gor Tex! Thanks Hoka for making great shoes!

Thought I would have to give up hiking after a torn meniscus repair. These boots gave me the comfort and the confidence to descend and continue doing what I love

The boot I got did not fit in my normal size . Sold those to a friend and ordered a 1/2 size smaller . Still looser than I like but added an insert and I can wear them . I wanted this boot because I have a lot of knee problems and I thought the boots would help

I wore them fresh out of the box! So comfortable! The first two days did 7 mile hikes, then ended our hiking adventure with a 10 miler. No Blisters! No sore spots! We scrambled about a little and the traction was secure!

I am a long distance thru hiker. Finding a boot that can handle 20 miles a day seems like a near and possibility. I was looking for something light but yet had decent ankle support, waterproof but still breathable, but mostly comfortable that gave my feet room to swell. I tried 15 different pairs of boots until I found a Kaha. this company is amazing, you can wear them for a month and if you don't like them return them still. I took me three hikes to really determine how fantastic they are. I'll be keeping them and buying more. My only complaint is I don't know how long they'll last because they feel so soft but it's too soon to tell and honestly it's worth it even if they were out quickly. They feel a little big but I buy them super big because I need the space. If you're buying them for hiking go up a size otherwise it's probably pretty true to size.

So, I recently had spinal.surgery about I am doing great! My husband and I walk 3-4 miles a day but I realized that my hiking boots were not helping me at all, pretty uncomfortable. I decided to go to a store and try some others on. The sales persecution brought over 4different options, one of which was the Hoka Kala boot. When I tried that on, it was not like any other boot/hiking shoe that I had ever tried before!!! Unbelievably comfortable , supportive and yet light! I couldn't believe how great it felt on and that it made my walking much more stable and easy! Love them and will be purchasing again. I tell everyone about how much I love them and my husband even calls them , "my dancing shoes"!!!

Love this boot, but an entire size too large. The comments made that clear, but I still ordered too big. The heel cup is small 2hich I appreciate for sure!
The return of items is the easiest ever. Decent prices from Zappos too.
Great boot, great company!

The soft soles have made it possible for me to continue to hike. But the soft soles do not mean they do not have support. I need a firm sole to support the balls of my feet, which this boot provides. The wide toe box gives me the ability to flex my toes while hiking to prevent them from going numb. The grip is the best I've ever experienced. We walk on a gravel road a lot with a fairly step hill and I haven't slipped once. I'm not a thru hiker doing 20 miles a day, but I have gone 6 miles in this boot and did not have the massive pain when I finished like I have had with all other boots. Also was in a drenching downpour in this boot and my feet were totally dry. Have had this boot for 6 months, used it daily in snow, rain, on concrete, while working in the yard and on hikes and have had no issues with it coming apart.
