I received these for Christmas and within a few months the lining on the heel faded away. Also they feel a little hard and flat like the soft bedding is no longer there. I did love the purple color.

I received these slippers in December and come February, the lining had completely worn off on the heel. Loved them in the beginning, but they do not last. Sadly still searching for slippers that last more than one season.

I have worn these slippers for one season, and the shearling has worn off on both heels. Compare this to a pair of LL Bean shearling slippers I bought for my husband over two years ago, and the shearling is intact in each slipper.
I will not buy again.

These slippers are well made, but like another reviewer, I found that the fleece lining wore down very quickly (I had only had them a couple of months before the lining started to wear down). They are very comfortable, in part because the soles are thick and firm. But the same soles that offer support because they are firm also don't bend, and sometimes my feet "fall out" of the slippers, especially if I am turning to walk in another direction (again, another reviewer also commented on this). But the biggest problem I have with these slippers is the leg cramping I get when wearing them a lot; for example, during an "indoors" weekend. It took me awhile to determine that it was the slippers that was causing the terrible hamstring-like leg cramps. To make sure, I stopped wearing them for a week and the leg cramps stopped and the pain subsided. I started wearing them again and the cramping returned. I think it's related to the slippers being a slide slipper; I must "cramp" my feet to some degree to keep the slippers on. I have bought other slipper styles from LL Bean in the past that have worked out well and won't hesitate to buy slippers again-just not this style.

I received a pair of these shearling lined slippers for Christmas last year and loved them. Within six months the sheepskin on both heels had worn down to the padding. I called and they offered a replacement in another color, plum rather than the deep red. The customer service is exemplary and I received them within three days. A customer service agent even emailed me and said he would alert quality control about this problem. Now three months later, the same thing has happened, the shearling on the heels has worn down. I called today and they apologized and offered me yet another replacement pair. I was reluctant to replace them due to the shearling problem, but I did so anyway. The slippers are warm and sturdy and I really hope this problem doesn't recur. I purchased my first pair of shearling slippers in 1987 and never had a problem. I trust these will last longer than the first two pairs have.

The first time I ordered these slippers for my daughter they were too large so I exchanged them. She wore the second pair 3-4 times at most and the heel no longer feels padded. She said it feels like the heel area is made of cardboard. We have many LLBean wicked good slippers and have not experienced this before. Obviously, I'm returning them for a refund.

Walking in these slippers is like walking on planks of wood. They are literally as stiff as a board. I thought they would soften and that the soles would become flexible with wear but no luck with that.
The inside is soft and warm, but does not compensate for the stiff sole. You almost have to learn to walk in them because they are so stiff. Pass on these and choose another product.

These slippers clearly have good quality materials and construction, and they are very attractive. However, they were so uncomfortable and very clunky. I ordered a similar style of Wicked Good scuffs several years ago and LOVED them! Sadly, my husband threw our sheets in the washer and dryer one day, not realizing my slippers were tangled up in them, and so they shrunk and I cannot wear them anymore (not a surprise...they are suede, and care specifically states to spot clean). I ordered these slides expecting something just as wonderful as the last pair, but they are rock hard! It feels like there is absolutely no cushioning whatsoever, and the sole is so thick to the point of being completely inflexible. I felt, and sounded, like I was walking around in clompy wooden clogs. I'm so bummed, because the shearling is so warm and they are so attractive! But I can't get past how hard and uncomfortable and awkward they are to walk in, and so I will be returning them. I wish L.L. Bean hadn't reinvented the wheel. Please go back to the old design!

I use to get the Snowflake Slipper which was great.Than they stopped making them & I had to go elsewhere but never the same quality.Than I saw these for sale & got them but to my dissappointment they are to high & actually make my back hurt. Will be sending them back & will try the Kiltie even though I prefer the Slide.

I was terribly disappointed in the condition of the box I received the slippers in. It was stained all over with something—looks like grease!! Surely you did not send me slippers in this condition that someone had returned! I will be returning them!!

Very uncomfortable. Material felt cheap, one shoe was way bigger than the other but both were very loose not a snug fit. I got an 8 I wear a 7 1/2. One shoe also had an imperfection on the toe were the material has a weird fold.

The shearling is soft but the sole underneath is hard and heavy. There's no flexibility. It's like walking on slabs of 3/4" plywood.

Very stiff sole and very easy to trip while wearing them. Label inside of slippers is very sharp and must be removed before wearing. If I hadn't cut out the labels I would have returned the slippers. This product is not a good representation of the L.L. Bean quality we have always enjoyed.

This slipper was very heavy and I was concerned I would not be able to stand well after surgery in them. I have to return them.

Wicked good slide are consistently poor quality. I tried 3 different pairs and returned them all. Ordered wicked slippers for my husband and they were perfect. I still have a 10 year old pair that's in great shape.
So what's happening with the slides.

My wife always wears LLBean slippers no matter the season. The style she wanted was no longer available so I bought these for her as a Christmas gift. These did not even last two weeks before they started to wear at the heels. We're so disappointed. They will be going back.

I wear size 7.5 in shoes. I ordered up as they said to do8. Way too big, so I exchanged for a 7. Still way too big plus the color was different from the 1st ones and the pic. It is not often that I am disappointed in LLBean, Sadly these went back.

The insides of both slippers had worn off after less than 3 months of occasional wear in the evenings-appears to be a cheap shearling slipper made in China. The toe & heel areas were worn completely down & take note that the recipient of these "wicked good" slippers is a slender woman who has shoes she has worn for years. These were not inexpensive either!

I ordered my first pair of these in Sept. 2015 and wore them constantly at home and couldn't stop bragging about how amazing they were. However, I finally wore them out and needed a new pair. When I received the new pair, I couldn't believe how different they were! There was literally no padding in the foot area, it hurt my heel! I am so disappointed and returned them right away. I don't know why they changed the way they are made, but I know I will miss the comfort of the first pair!

This showed wear after only 30 days of using. Most of the padding from the footbed is gone after 3 months at that point the heel becomes painful and unbearable to use. As expensive as these were I expected them to last much longer. Very disappointed.

While these are comfortable, they do not hold up nearly as well as the moccasins. I had the moccasins for a year and a half before they started showing wear, but after 5 months, the shearling lining of the slides is completely worn through in the heel.

I was very excited about this slippers and have them in plum. I got them a little over a month ago and the footbed and shearing already wore down and it is coming off. This can't be simple wear and tear. I like ll bean products but am disappointed in this wear down.
