The product is as described, too wide and your heal slips right out, going back today.

i'm back to wearing my old slippers. I got these a couple of weeks ago and i kind of hate them. my heel keeps slipping out and you shouldn't have to think about your slippers and i am constantly wondering if they are going to come off. Not happy.

The problem with these slippers is that they are cut so low in the back that with every step you take your heel slips out. It is uncomfortable, distracting, and kind of useless. I returned them immediately. After reading other reviews, I see that I'm not the first person to complain about this. Why doesn't L.L.Bean fix the design? In any case, I think I'm through with shopping on line for things that require a good fit.

Got these as a Christmas present to replace a pair of Wicked Good slippers. I had my Wicked Goods for 4+ years, but they were a size too big so I finally asked for another pair, and passed my old ones down to a brother.
Since my feet get super warm (Im extremely warm blooded), my Mom thought the Scuffs would be a good alternative. I did like the rubber outsole, but, contrary to the name, DO NOT SCUFF IN THESE! We have linoleum floors in our kitchen and these make an awful, high pitched squeak if you scuff around. (They're slippers, that's what you're supposed to do in them...)
Main reason I am disappointed is the quality. My pair fell apart in less than 3 months. A $60 slipper should last, um, about 4+ years. The stitching that holds the upper to the side wall is coming apart. They were slightly large feeling anyways, and now they barely stay on my feet. I tried just tying the stitching together, but it wouldn't work.
About the sizing, some say they run smaller than previous years, but I think they run a little big. They may just feel big because there isn't a heel to hold your foot in (Thus the squeaking:)

These are shorter than expected and should order a size larger. My heel hangs over the back of the shoe. I know they are supposed to be easy on with a lower back heel but my heel actually smashes the back of the shoe.

Aside from being too narrow to wear comfortably, the back of the slipper is entirely too short and comes up the back of the foot about 1 inch. As a result, when you walk around in these, your heel slides entirely out of the slipper, much like a flip-flop.

Not what I expect from LL Bean. I bought the Scuff II about 11 months ago, wearing them every day for only about 4 months total. It is a very comfortable slipper. I do not wear socks with these as to get the full feeling of the sheep lined slipper. Unfortunately, this causes the footbed to wear out rather quickly and LL Bean does not offer an insert. The outside and sole have held up just fine. Just wish I didn't have to buy another (not from LL Bean) so soon.
