Perfect size for swimming at the gym. a good number of pockets, sturdy, and good looking. I left my swimming gear in there overnight and longer and the bag did not stink up at all. The bungee cord is great for sandals and bike helmets. I purchased a TimBuk2 bag over a year ago and I'm not satisfied with it. I wish I purchased this one back then. The price is a little expensive but the bag is totally worth it.

Exactly what I was looking for. I have a NF backpack I use for hiking and to carry my laptop when traveling. Versatile but smaller than this one. Love the size and pattern on the Borealis.

Great backpack. Plenty of room for everything a college kid needs. Hoping it is like past TNF back packs in that it holds up over time! (His last one is still good after using for junior high and high school, but is gray and he needs black now)

Everyday use for work and travel. Has held up very well. Comfortable and secure to wear and enough pockets to store everyday items such as laptops. Nifty loop to hang on wall as well.

I purchased this bag for travel along with my carry on. It has lots of room and plenty of straps to tighten everything into place. Love the area made for my laptop or iPad, whichever I'm using at the moment. Actually both would fit. Also has a top compartment that's perfect for a wallet, passport, or id. Great easy access. With it full it's comfortable on your back. It's a solid but comfortable padding. Arm straps are a great fit too. I really can't complain about this backpack. It's perfect for traveling but will be perfect for hiking as well. I've purchased one for myself and now another for my husband.

Cute and holds an adequate amount for a middle school backpack. Multiple pockets are nice.

Really love it! Compartments are more than large enough. Only wish water bottle compartments on side were a bit deeper.

well, there is no doubt it is one of the best in the market, but there is the strange thing about the product I ordered online with the ones in the north face store in downtown Vancouver, I ordered asphalt gray color, which obviously should be dark grey! but it was dark white instead of being dark grey, so I went to the store to change it with a black one, and I found out the quality of the backpacks in the store is way much different than what I bought online, and they don't feel like good quality, neither gives a good feeling about a real north face product, it makes me wonder.
so I strongly recommend it to buy online, and still don't know why the materials are different between this two products.

With new design, i can actually use all compartments without loosing space! Back panel is way more comfortable and doesn't feel like a wall! IT STANDS ON ITS OWN. Loop zippers are only on laptop and main compartment, which is fine. The orange and purple is way better looking in person.

I use this backpack for school and it is super comfy and somehow super lightweight even with all my heavy books. The only thing about this backpack that I didn't like was the balance issue it has a hard time standing on its own but overall a great bag.

The backpack itself it's pretty comfy and the fabric is super good, it helps your back if you usually put a lot of weight on your backpack, it has an organized section of pockets, space it's not the best since the organizer pocket it's determined by its length, but besides that it's okay

I really do love this backpack, but there are a few design flaws.
I tend to carry a lot of pens and highlighters and usually use the front pocket to store all my personal belongings such as keys, airpods and my wallet. I find that the pocket becomes super heavy compared to the rest of the backpack when it's got stuff in it and causes my backpack to fall over or slip down which is super annoying.
I used to own the jester backpack before this and noticed immediately how much heavier this backpack is in comparison which is surprising since I did not think there was much of a difference other than extra compartments. The padding on the backpack makes it bearable, but it still become uncomfortable at times.
The water bottle pockets could also be a little steeper

Durable and spacious backpack! It has many compartments for optimal organization, although I find the back panel to be a little stiff.
