This backpack is super comfortable and stylish, I just prefer the roominess of the previous model's pockets.

A little top heavy, almost like the pockets dont go deep enough- but it stays high on your back which is better anyways. A little bit small if your use is school/textbooks.

This backpack is super cute, but it's a little bit small to be advertised as a "School Backpack". I only bring my laptop, planner, keys + wallet to class. If that's all I'm packing, it's fine. But anything more than that will not fit in this backpack. Little frustrating and not really reflective of what people actually bring to school

I love this backpack. I think it'll hold up very well but I haven't had it long. I wish the main pouch had more room. Doesn't hold as much as I thought it would but it still holds everything I need it to

I love this backpack, but I am still breaking it in. I like that the side pockets aren't fully mesh as my waterbottle doesnt tear the fabric anymore. The color is absolutely beautiful and it functions fantastically! I do wish the large pocket stretched out a little bit farther as it it quite tight to fit all my books in due to the cords across the front.

Love the color! Not as deep as I expected, so it doesn't fit as much as other bags I have, but works for laptop and non-bulky books.

Love this bag! Don't like the hard back. The hard back should be foam.

use it as a school backpack, not great that the organizational section does not go all the way to the bottom, but nice having a separate section for laptop and storage on the outside

I LOVE the color- Laurel Wreath Green - Silver Blue. Super happy with the way it looks and it's got a great number of pockets. I use it
Only issue is I've not got great upper body strength so I feel the bag can get quite heavy because of the bag weight itself. But overall, I'm definitely satisfied with the size. The main reason I got it is because I'm a grad student and I carry a lot of food + laptop and I was earlier needing to carry two bags and this has made things a lot easier because of the storage options (including two pockets for water bottle + umbrella).

many compartments the only downside is that the backpack falls when you try to sit it up right, i do like using it more of a school back pack than a travel one however i have fitted a blanket in the outside bands and it was very convenient

I use it for college but it could be a little bigger.

The laptop zipper keeps my laptop super secure. However there isn't much room for a lot of room for books and textbooks. The front pockets are pretty useful.

The Borealis in my opinion is more urban geared than outdoors. Really great quality and padding for carrying a laptop and my clothes to the gym or anything I need to travel with. I love the color combination as well. Only 4 stars because it doesn't fit my needs for hiking, it feels a little awkward when trying to do so but it may work perfect for others. Great backpack and great quality and I do recommend

Very comfortable to carry with the built in back support. Still trying to figure out all the zippers.

I use the bag for my school supplies and for clothes when I travel. I like the comfort and feel of the bag. I don't like how the bag feels restricted on the inside. I wish it had more flexibility.

My daughter purchased for transporting her laptop and other supplies to and from school. While she loves the look of the backpack, it is difficult to fit all of the items she needs for a given day. If the main compartment had a bit more room for additional items, would give 5 stars.

I use this backpack for high school and it just fits everything. I wish it was bigger and had another pocket or two, but it works.

Have used it so far for several weekend trips. Love the size and the array of different pockets and their sizes. So happy with this purchase.

The straps are much more comfortable than the previous scratchy material, but the bag is smaller than I expected in terms of how much it can hold. It doesn't stretch out as much. I also really like how it can stand on its own (as long as you don't have a water bottle on the side).

I'm a downtown commuter and sometimes day hiker. I mostly use this backpack as a combination purse and laptop bag. I appreciate that this backpack has a generous sleeve for my laptop, and my back always feels well cushioned against the sharp edge of the laptop. I love the sturdy beverage sleeves on each side, they fit my 750ml water bottle and a travel mug nicely, though I can't speak to wider vessels. The shoulder straps are thick and nicely cushioned. I feel like I could hike for hours without difficulty. I tried my husband's version, and I have to say, the women's version straps make a lot more sense for a female chest. I'm glad I went with the Women's. I wear a size L jacket, normally, and yet I can use both the hip and chest straps, and often do, to support the weight. My only quibble is that I feel the upper segmented pocket should be a little deeper. I have a fair amount of EDC in terms of meds for myself and my family, and the inner pockets are extraordinarily tight and hard to access. I feel like I'm straining the zipper just to get an inhaler, spacer, sunglasses and a couple of compact pill cases in there. If you had a more elaborate first-aid kit, you'd really be in trouble. Yes there are other compartments, but the next one down is so deep I'd lose small items easily in there, and you don't want to be struggling to find an inhaler. I would buy this again based on quality and fit, but I'd check the marketplace again (in person) to see if I could find a model that had a more generous "small thing" section. If you aren't responsible for the family medicine chest, you might be ok with that amount of space.
