I got the dark brown Park Avenues a few years ago and wear them 2 to 3 times a week for work. It is a great dress shoe that is very comfortable and looks great with its timeless design. I wore these classic dress shoes for my wedding as well and they even survived an accidental trip in the pool. Although I wouldn't recommend getting your shoes soaked in chlorinated pool water they nevertheless made it through unscathed and still looks good as new with a little shine. Since getting these shoes I have added the Strand in walnut as well and I am looking to add to my collection sometime in the future. I would recommend this shoe as a most have in every wardrobe in either a black or a brown as those would never go out of style.

The timeless of the dress shoes, and a great starting point if you're looking for a classic staple. The cleanest example of a shoe, and often the most formal.

I bought my 1st pair of Allen Edmonds shoes in the early 90's. A pair of Black Park Avenues. I still have them, I still wear them (I had them recrafted once). I presently have 17 pairs of AE's. I have probably owned over 25 pairs since my purchase of the Park Avenue's. One of the best things I feel, is that they are comfortable right out of the box. I once bought a pair while in Chicago for a week long Trade Show. I forgot my second pair of shoes so I stopped in to the Michigan Avenue store bought a pair of 5th Avenues and wore them the next day, right out of the box for about 12 hours. I have never found pair of shoes that I did not have to "break in" for awhile until I found Allen Edmonds. AE's are the only Dress Shoes that I own. I will someday be buried with a pair of AE's on! Plus they are American Made!

This is my first pair of Allen Edmond dress shoes..After a few days of general office use, I can say that this is an excellent shoe all around. The look, the fit, the quality are all exceptional. I'm confident this show will last for years.

I am very hard on dress shoes, and previous brands I bought never seemed to last. They didn't keep their shape and/or were not comfortable. My Park Aves seem to last forever, and are remarkably comfortable. I am on my feet a lot on hard floors and pavement. That these shoes look so great, last so long, and are so comfortable is a bit of a miracle. I've had my first pair for over a decade, and just bought another pair. True value for the money in every sense of the phrase.

Park Avenue in the 65 last is my "go-to" shoe for business and business casual. I have several colors to rotate through, and I especially love the Bourbon pair my wife bought me. When I travel, running through airports, hightailing it to the rental car counters, or meeting up with colleagues after a long day, my feet fell terrific in the Park Avenue. I personally recommend this shoe to all my friends, and recommend it to all of you checking the review sections here. The width, toe box, and heel counter are the same on new pairs to 5 year old pairs - and consistency is what the Park Avenue is all about. Thank you, Allen Edmonds for an iconic shoe.

These shoes hold up extremely well and have them recently refurbished. Would recommend them to anyone looking to make an investment in a great pair of cap toes!

I purchased my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes a few months back after quite a few months of research and internal debate. The key sticking point for me was the price of the shoe having never owned a pair of Allen Edmonds before. I finally broke down after a visit to one of their stores and being professionally fit by their staff and I am glad that I did. They are made of high quality leather (not bonded) that, when properly cared for, looks almost brand new after months of wear. Additionally, when properly fit (I ended up getting a longer, narrower shoe than I normally would), the shoes become and extension of your feet. I normally tend towards high cushion shoes due to a broken vertebrae, but these quickly became my most comfortable shoes to wear to work. The Cap-Toe Park Avenues are both classic looking, pairing well with both a suit or jeans, and also a great vale for the quality of shoe that you get. I will definitely be purchasing more of Allen Edmonds shoes in the future.

Park Avenues are the standard for dress shoes. As the story goes, they've been work by several presidents during their inauguration. I've had my black Park Avenues for about 5 years, had them resoled once and they still look great. I recommend these to all the new staff at my firm. They're a little expensive, but they last forever.

I bought these in St. Louis. My salesman worked with me to find the right size, as I had never bought this nice of shoe before. He found me the right size and the shoes are now 6 months old. I thought they were comfortable when I bought them, but had no idea how well they would break in. I could not be happier with the purchase and now plan to get the Mcallister next.

I have been purchasing Allen Edmonds shoes for more than 20 years. I now own six pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes and I am still wearing the first pair I purchased. My pair of black Fifth Avenues get better as the years go by. The cream polish and shoe trees keep them looking great.

I purchased a pair of Park Avenue Cap-toe Lace-ups in Walnut more than three years ago and I continue to be amazed by their durability. I am hard on these shoes and wear them at least three times a week, rain or shine, through the maze of cobblestone streets that is lower Manhattan. The leather is of exceptional quality and, with proper care and maintenance, this pair has taken on a patina that makes them even more eye catching than they were the day I first took them out of the box. Last but certainly not least are the cork footbeds which, over time, have molded to my feet giving these shoes a truly personalized feel. American craftsmanship at its very best.

As a young professional recently out of college, the Park Ave Cap Toe was the perfect choice for a go-to shoe in any situation. While not over-priced, the shoe subtlety completes nearly any professional outfit and does well in both formal and non-formal settings due to it's simple yet classy aesthetic. I've only had the shoe for less than a year and cannot vouch for it's longevity, but the construction seems promising. I've received many compliments on the shoe in the short time period since my purchase.

The size is right and I love the last. After you break them down, you can walk all day in these shoes.

Great shoe with the added benefit of recrafting. I have two pairs and both have been recrafted to new. Fit is true to size, price is equal to quality.

Once you get them broken in, they are great! The material is awesome and color is perfect for matching with my clothes for the office!

These are the most amazing dress shoes I've ever worn, and they were the most comfortable right out of the box. I'm an airline pilot and I used to have to buy new dress shoes about every two years because other brands just didn't last. These American made shoes are built to last!

Simply put, the best there is. Classic design and american craftsmanship combined to create the '67 Corvette of the shoe world. Dressy for the boardroom yet nimble enough to fit right in during cocktails after work. Graduate from college in these shoes, get married in them, close business deals, celebrate retirement . These shoes will last a lifetime and chances are if you buy a pair early enough you can do all of the above. I have them in a few different colors. I have to spread the memories around... -EM

I love these shoes and I recently purchased a pair for my brother. He called me soon after he tried them on and his wife said he screamed with delight. I was recommended to buying this shoe brand and this type shoe;although , I do own three other AE shoes. This shoe is very comfortable,stylish,and durable for the price it is worth it! I admire the shoe design because it is simple,and a few of our former us presidents worn them. They're versatile ,and most of all the service provided for the life of the product. I also love the history and the popularity of the brand alone! I highly recommend this shoes and brands to many of my friends and relatives .

The leather is very soft and supple and is an essential shoe to a man's formal and business wear. The leather insole is very comfortable and I love the fact that I can recraft the shoe after I have worn out the sole.

The shoes are comfortable, stylish, and I've received many compliments saying so. When I ordered the shoes, the staff were extremely helpful and worked with me for over 45 minutes before I found the perfect shoe.
