I have been wearing these shoes for more than 20 years. They fit the best of any shoes i have ever had and maintain good appearance.

The Park Ave stands the test of time as a classic lace-up dress shoe for the office. While I was more accustomed to longer toe boxes on my balmorals, I had an opportunity to buy a pair of Park Avenues on special and make them a part of my work shoe rotation. The style of the toe box grew on me and my colleagues at work have always given me compliments on their look. I found they have been extremely comfortable once broken in and now wear effortlessly. The quality of the shoe stands up against any of the English brands and the Made in the USA gives me a sense of pride. Access to the recrafting service with AE will mean these shoes will be in my closet for a lifetime!

After being fit by expert salesman, shoes were comfortable out of the box and have continued to feel and wear great. The Park Avenue is in my opinion, the best looking dress shoe on the market. I have worn this shoe with a tux as well as with my normal dress suits.

I purchased a pair of Park Avenues in 2002. I wear them very regularly, so they've had numerous soles and heels replaced over the years. With a regular coat of polish and shoe trees when not in use, these shoes have remained looking new as the day I bought them. They are remarkably comfortable; they are like bedroom slippers for the boardroom. I recently discovered the Recrafting department. For my most recent set of soles, I sent my beloved Park Avenues back to Allen Edmonds. They came back a little snugger than I remembered, but they are now brand new shoes again. I can't more highly recommend a set of shoes or a shoe company.

Excellent shoe, especially once broken in. The 5 last fits my foot most appropriately. I have the walnut and cannot tell you how many people comment on these shoes. It really is unbelievable how I think they are very understated but everyone notices. Bottom line, it's easy to see how quality and well made these shoes are. Especially in the walnut. You won't be sorry, just make sure you get the correct last for you foot. It then will not be long before you're buying a second pair. Enjoy !

My first pair of the "Park Ave" was purchased in 1981. I have close to a dozen A.E. shoes. I buy Allen Edmonds because of the quality and the style. The quality is superb and they offer sizing that will make these shoes fit as if they were custom made. This style is my favorite. These are a classic and have remained in style. Yes in 30 years they have required a few re-crafting's, however they are shipped back looking as if they are almost brand new. Last year I did finally get another pair and honestly they fit just as well as the pair that I had for all of those years. I highly recommend the Park Avenue as a very versatile and stylish pair of shoes that will last for years.

I've read some of the less than stellar reviews and I believe it really comes down to what you are looking for out of a nice dress shoe. I have now worn this style shoe for 15 years and will NEVER wear anything else. These shoes are like buying a fine upper end leather baseball mitt. You can't judge its beauty and quality after only a few weeks. The mitt needs time to conform to your hand and also break in the fine leather. These shoes are very much the same way as the mitt. The fine leather needs time to break in and conform to your foot and wear patterns. Just make sure you get sized properly; otherwise you will run into much of the same issues I have read here on this review board. These shoes are classics and can be worn to the office as business casual and then can be worn with all your fine suits, etc. You just cannot go wrong with this classic leather shoe. Also, you just cannot beat the re-conditioning service to extend the life of the shoe. Thank you Allen Edmonds!

I have a difficult time buying shoes that fit, as I wear size 15 narrow. This was my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. The first time I wore them was to an evening reception and performance of the Silent Drill team at 'Eighth and 'I", the Marine barracks in D.C. We had parked a few blocks away. I was worried about my shoes, as I had not "broken them in". No problem! The walk to the building, in the reception hall, and standing outside for the performance was even more pleasurable as my shoes fit so well. For someone who has always had a problem getting shoes that fit properly, I will always buy dress shoes from your company. A big extra plus, is my shoes are made in the USA!

Very comfortable and simple shoe, yet it has the business style I need.

If there was ever a perfect shoe, the Park Avenue in black is it. The cap toe makes the foot look better proportioned than a plain oxford. The Balmoral lacing is the classic formal look that allows the shoe to be worn with formal wear as well as with a more restrained pant. But the cap toe also makes the shoe work well with a casual pant or black jean. Appearances aside, this classic American-made shoe represents quality and craftsmanship that you can see and feel. The shoe will take a high military shine, or you can opt for a more manageable shine that preserves the natural reflection of the grain. Expect your Park Avenues to serve you for a decade or so, and save you a lot of money over the years. Always have more than one pair of Allen Edmunds in circulation to help the shoe recover and last longer, get the Allen Edmunds shoe trees, and shoe horn, and use the Allen Edmunds recrafting service rather than a cobbler to ensure they come back as close to new as possible and without errant nails, inferior adhesive etc.

I bought my Park Avenues at the end of college 17 years ago. I have short, wide feet, and had had issues with pain and cramping in other reputable brands that did not offer a choice of widths. I decided to make an investment in these shoes and have not been disappointed. They fit well and were supple and comfortable right out of the box. They work well with casual or business attire, and even through 17 years of fashion trends, they always look "right". I have read the other reviews: I have not had any quality issues with the leather, soles, or heels. Even with minimal maintenance, they look and feel as good today as when I first bought them

I have been wearing Park Avenue's for years and have been recrafting them and enjoying years of wear from each pair. These are some of the most confortable dress shoes I own and they do get more comfortable with time.

In 1997 and 1998, I spent 22 months traveling Florida, spending much of the time on my feet and walking. Each day was busy and stressful. At the beginning of this ordeal I purchased a pair of black Park Avenues, and not once did I feel relief when I took my shoes off at night because they were completely comfortable the entire day; I'd never been conscious of wearing them. I've had the shoes re-soled three times and still have them...and I still can't tell when I have them on.

I knew what I wanted when I walked in the store, but I walked around and looked at other options, then purchased this classic as I had in the past. My last pair had worn out aftern having been re-crafted a few times. Finally, I replaced them with a much less expensive pair. Yet, I came back to the original. It was just a matter of time.

I own several pairs of Allen Edmonds, and have always appreciated their quality and esthetics. I ordered a pair of Park Avenues, but did not like how the toe bent upward, and the bulkiness of the overall structure. It was a nice shoe, but I returned it. I opted for a pair of Cortlands, which were being sold at the time and have been very happy with them.

I bought this shoe almost ten years ago. I have had it recrafted several times. Being on my feet throughout each day requires a comfortable shoe and this one meets the need.

As an attorney, I wear this shoe to work. They look great and are extremely comfortable. The shoe holds up well, despite frequent walks to the courthouse. While not inexpensive, the shoe is worth it. Especially when AE can refurbish it and make it look brand new a couple of times- making it a shoe that can be worn for several years.

My first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes were Park Avenues (black). They fit perfectly and the quality is excellent. They look great with a suit or jeans; they are quite versatile. I remember how great I felt wearing those shoes for the first time; you know they look great and make a clothing choice statement that is respected by all. The best thing about them is I still feel the same way every time I wear them. Take good care of them and they will serve you well for a long time thanks to the re-crafting service. Very stylish great dress shoe. I had one pair over 10 yrs and finally got new ones. The old ones are still good but I wear the new ones when I need to really bring my game.

Great shoe - works for the office and black tie events. If I had to pick only one style of shoe to wear, it'd be this one. Great value, great shoe.

It's silly to say but I feel more confident in these shoes. Love that they are American made. I bought two pairs in November '12 and I plan to wear them for 10 years... that's what I got out of my last pair. I just wish there were more casual slip on options.

This is my third pair of allen edmonds. Incredibly comfortable as would be expected. I did find them a tad long, but nothing too bad. Simplicity of the design makes them appropriate for many pants and occasions

I purchased a pair of Park Avenues 3 months ago and they have quickly become my "go to" pair of dress shoes in my closet. They broke in quite fast and after only 4 days at the office I thought the fit was superb. A quick polishing keeps them looking fantastic every time I wear them. I enjoy them so much I ended up purchasing a pair of 5th Avenues as well!

I am on my second pair of Park Avenues, covering over twenty years of service. The shoes are the most comfortable that I own. They wear well for long days, and for evenings out for business. The recrafting service is like getting new shoes, the work is impeccable, and just adds vallue and life to the ownership experience There are no better shoes for the price.
