These run a tiny tiny bit on the large size so while my daughter normally wears a size 8-8.5 (with on the wider side feet), the 8 fit perfectly with nice fluffy socks. These beat the heck out of Ugg boots that quickly get stained when water gets on them. Timeless classic look that is important to my daughter and durable boot that makes my pocketbook happy knowing that theses will last for many seasons to come!

It's still early but she knew how much I love mine so we took advantage of a sale. Now we booth look forward to wet/cold weather... I treat them with bean boot gaurd every fall.. you just can't beat them especial when you can grad a pair on sale.. true to size based on the sizeing recommendations on the web site

I love these boots! For years I would look at them & wonder if I should buy them. Finally this year I did it. I had no break in period as they felt great as soon as I put them on. Super comfortable, well made & worth the money. BUY THEM

I have tried several times before to get a pair of Bean boots and they didn't fit right. I was finally able to order a women's boot in a wide width and they are a great fit. Plenty of room to wear my Smart Wools with.

I wear these almost everyday! They're comfortable for all day wear and especially with thick socks. They are not particularly warm (even with thick socks), so if you are somewhere cold, I'd recommend the insulated boots.

Love them, have been very happy wearing them.

I purchased these for my 14 year old daughter. I followed the sizing guidelines from the website and it was perfect. My daughter usually wears a size 9-9.5 shoe, but according to the website, to size down, so I did, purchased a size 8 and the fit is perfect!!! She has not stopped wearing them!!!

I have been eyeing these for a few winters now and finally decided to get them. I wasn't 100% sure about my size and I couldn't imagine going down 1 1/2 sizes (7.5-6). I ordered a size 7 and they were way too big. Customer service made it simple to exchange the size! I ended up getting the size 6 medium and they are perfect. They are a little stiff when you first put them on but after wearing them a few times it starts to soften. Love these boots!

I got these boots four years ago and being from Texas I didn't think I'd have much need for a winter boot but boy was I wrong. I have a pair of rainboots that cost a pretty penny that have sat in the back of my closet since I got these. They are perfect rain, snow, or just dang cold. The leather upper has started to wear beautifully and I can say that without a doubt these will be my go to boots for the rest of my life. Thank you LL Bean.

I found the recommendations for sizes to be pretty true. Love the quality. Hoping they have the lasting power. They're very cute.

You are advised to order a size down, I normally take 8 or 8.5 so I bought 7. They fit wonderfully. You will have to get used to the weight of these boots. They are heavy. When I purchased them, they let me pick a second lace color. I got army green. I like this new option because everyone has these boots, so by changing the laces, you can customize your look.

I had purchased these boots in my true shoe size and they were way too large. I re-bought the same pair is one full size smaller, and they fit amazing. They are comfortable, reliable, and look so cute. The quality of the boots is excellent. I will be wearing these all winter!

I ordered these boots 3 years ago, I don't think think I previously posted a review as I was waiting to be able to give an honest review after wearing them for a while. They still look like new, but I don't wear them regularly as I live in the Deep South. But, I love having them for rainy days like we're having today or for the few days that we get snow. As for comfort, mine required NO break in! They were comfortable from day one. On sizing, I did what they recommend and ordered an 8, generally I'm a 9 and occasionally an 8.5. The 8's fit perfect with a little room to spare in the toe box. I do believe these boots will last me my lifetime and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!!

I have used your boots since I was 14 years old. Now am 82. Very satisfied with product. Got the boots for my Wife, Her old Bean's were falling apart after many years of use.

I was looking for boots for Fall/Winter that would keep my feet warm and protected in our 30-50 degree weather, and these are it! I live in Montana so we have chilly falls and snowy winters, so I needed something reliable. The first day I got these, I wore them all day outside and they were so comfortable and provided a lot of cushion. Surprisingly, they didn't require much breaking in at all and weren't as stiff as boots usually are. I usually wear 8 1/2-9 in most shoes so I ordered a size 8 medium. They are a little large however they're perfect if I wear them with two layered socks, which keeps my feet extra warm! These are worth the investment.

I have wanted to buy these particular boots for quite awhile.............so glad i did! The quality is exactly what I expect from LLBean and I know they will last for years..................and ps - very comfortable

I have owned my Bean boots for two years, and I love them! I wear them as my rain boots, and as my snow boots (but with thick wool socks). They have kept my feet dry and warm, and they still look brand new! I will say that I do not own a pair of women's boots, I own a pair of children's boots. I bought mine in store, and the wonderful sales associate asked for my shoe size (women's 9), brought out a pair of children's boots, and told me to try them on. They fit great! So, my big recommendation: try them on in store if you can, because you might end up with a different product (that could save you some cash!).

I was glad to see that the tongue is fully stitched to the shoe, which shows that it's truly for funtion. The leather looks great and is as smooth as butter, but because it's new leather, expect to have to break them in. I'm usually a women's 8 and the 7 fits me fine with thin cotton socks, and L.L. Bean's cotton ragg camp socks. As for L.L. Bean's boot socks, they may, but I have yet to see. The upper could be influencing fit, I'm sure, but these do feel more secure and snug to me than the rubber mocs, which I also have and enjoy. The laces are a very nice touch. Overall, I like this shoe, and I can't wait to truly make them my own.

I found these boots on Pinterest and instantly fell in love! I did a ton of research before actually buying these and it paid off because I definitely got what I wanted in these boots. I bought them Labor Day weekend while there was a site-wide sale so I got a great deal and it literally only took 7 days of submitting my online order to receiving them on my doorstep with their free shipping. I usually wear a size 8 with a slightly wide foot and the 7's fit PERFECTLY with room for a thick sock. I am sooo in love with these boots and cannot wait for Fall/Winter to wear them! Oh and the craftsmanship is just top notch, I did a full inspection of them and no complaints whatsoever on stitching, etc.

Right out of the box and onto her feet! They fit right and serve a useful purpose. I know they will last because they are LL Bean boots!

I just received my 8" bean boots! The advice was correct that the boot runs large. I now have 3 pairs of bean boots in different heights, they are so versatile and comfortable. Glad they are still made in America too. Keep stitching, this is a great product.

This is only the 2nd L.L.Bean boot I have ever bought, because the first one lasted so long. I bought the first when I first moved to Maine, 45 years ago. I have a wide foot, and need space for my wool socks, so I got a perfect fit. It is dry even in wet snow. The "bargain" boot I got elsewhere stayed dry only one season before it ripped. This Bean boot should outlast me. Worth it!

Tried another brand and ended up giving them away before coming back to the best rubber-bottom boots on the planet. Can't beat Bean boots made in Maine! They do run large so order a size down unless you're going to wear the thickest socks available.

These are the only boots of this type that don't rub under my ankles. Cheaper boots rubbed my ankles raw. Worth the money and keep my feet dry. Hope to try other styles.
