great shoe and especially love that they come in narrow, however, I had to return them because the 9 is too short and the 10 is too big. I'm a true 9.5 and these would be the perfect shoe if they made them in half sizes! So sad to have to return them, as it's a rainy Spring and I'd love to wear them everyday!

I read the size info and thought it would not apply to me. I have never had too big shoes. I did order a size smaller than I normally order and I'm glad I did! The shoes are still a little large, but I can wear 2 pairs of socks. The shoes are comfy and fun to wear. I don't really like the leather tie/ flap at the front. Leather doesn't stay tied that well and the flap looks weird when I pull it tight.

This so are adorable, and I love them! I typically where a size 9 or 10, but shoes that stretch like these I'll fit an 8. Well, the 8 was huge! The shoes come with instruction stating how they are suppose to be a snug fit. I returned them in exchange for a smaller size. Hopefully the 7 will work for me. I'm just shocked I have to get a size 7! I've never wore that small of a size! I highly recommend purchasing a smaller size in these shoes.

I have a narrow foot and normally wear a 9-1/2 or 10. I got the size 8 per the Guidelines. In order to wear a Ragg sock with these, I would need a half size larger. I've been wearing them with a light sock. They need a break-in period, were not totally comfortable at first. I love the green and may order a half size larger in yellow. These mocs were perfect for the heavy rains we just had. They are easy to slip in and out of (quick trips outside with an elderly dog) and kept my feet completely dry despite saturated ground with standing water.

These are very nice quality in great colors, but they run VERY large. Took a few orders to get a good fit, even one full size smaller than my normal size is a bit loose.

The boots are great for rain and mud with excellent quality but are somwhat narrow across the toes. The heel is too wide for me and the boots slide up and down so I am returning them. The boots are long. Order one size down.

I am overall happy with my purchase. I usually wear between a 7 1/2 and 8 and ordered a size 7. It is a little big, but a 6 would be too small. Not bad with a sock, but honestly i would prefer to wear them with out and am not sure that i will be able to do that.

Even using the description, my Mocs were WAY TOO BIG with thick sox. I would LOVE a pair as they are practical and USA made. But NOT unless I can try them on!

These are reliable, dependable footwear for poor pavement conditions due to weather. However, I usually wear a 9, so that's what I bought. I'd read about them running large, and I knew that an 8 would be too small with heavy socks. My heel actually comes out when I walk, so you be the judge on how to purchase for size.

Boots are everything I expected, but run on the large side. I wear a 6 1/2 wide boot, so I ordered a 6 D. A size 5 D would have fit perfect, but the boot does not come in that small a size. I wear heavy socks and love the boots anyway.

I have a long, narrow foot making it difficult to find a good fit. I reluctantly followed L.L. Bean's suggestion for ordering a size smaller and was very pleasantly surprised that it fit as described. I am very happy with my purchase.

I really love my new duck boots - just sad I won't have much opportunity to wear them in arid southern California. The only thing I don't like about them is the rawhide laces - they refuse to stay tied...even when double knotted. I also worry the laces may not hold up too well if they get wet often...will they rot? And they look really tricky to replace. The sizes 7s were too small, the size 8s I kept are a little big - but they work fine after adding foam inserts. Other than that - I love them!

I'm always somewhat skeptical about ordering shoes because of the sizing. The catalog gave an example but to be on the safe side I ordered both a size 8 and a size 9. Well, I should have followed the example in the book because the size 8 fit but is a little large through the heel (I'll just wear extra heavy socks). The size 9 was way too big. The return process was simple. Can't wait for the rainy season. However, I did wear them out shopping with jeans and they were very comfortable. To my surprise, they have arch supports.

Going on advice from other reviews, I ordered a size down (I'm usually a 9, 9.5 if it's a dressy shoe or a ballet flat) and the 8 fits great except that the heel is a bit loose, but I think that's just the general fit of this moc style. If you're looking for a more secure fit try the "gumshoe" or the boots, but if you're looking for a quick slip on for wet weather this moc is great and it's just what I wanted. I've been wearing it to walk the dog on icy sidewalks and love it. We'll see how it holds up in mud season...

Second pair of rubber mocs I have owned. Very comfortable. Have worn extremely well. Sizing is a little strange. You need to order down at least a size and still wear thick socks. But better big than too small. Love the yellow and blue combo, but apparently these colors are no longer available.

The quality of these booties is excellent. However, they are huge! I wear a womens size 11 and they were probably more like a 12 and a half! I had to return and get a size 10. My feet still move around even in the size 10. A 9 1/2 would probably be perfect but they don't come in half sizes. Now, when I got the booties there was an insert in the box saying that these are meant to be worn with heavy socks. I don't recall seeing that in the item description but perhaps I missed it. Anyways, that is why apparently they are so big. I never wear socks, even in the dead of winter, so they were completely unwearable in the 11. I am keeping them in the size 10 but I can't really wear them as I intended which was to throw them on and wear them everywhere on errends etc. Instead I'll just wear them to take the dog out in the yard or to feed the birds. Otherwise, I'll have to actually put socks on (yuck) in order to get use out of them.

They are enormous. I followed the instructions and bought a size down- still big. Too bad no half sizes, that would have been perfect. Will just have to wear with fat socks...

This is my first pair of LL Bean Rubber Mocs and now my husband wants a pair. I read the reviews and ordered a full size down, but they are still too wide in the back and my heel slips a little even with two pairs of socks. The length is fine and the fit is good after I pull the laces tight. They are surprisingly comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry. All in all, I am pleased with the quality and comfort of my new mocs and look forward to the next rainstorm!

Ordered using correct shoe size, however fit is large, even with socks. Kept because can slip on/off easily.

I should have listened to the reviews and ordered these boots smaller. I usually buy my boots a bit bigger than my regular shoe size. I like them a bit bigger so that I can wear a couple pairs of socks when camping. The reviews said that these boots run big and they do. I LOVED the boots and have returned them for my "true" size. I can't wait to get my exchange.

Was very pleased with this shoe. Ordered size according to directions. They are larger than normal size. Still a little wide for me but with thicker socks they work well.

The shoe-boot is great particularly for melting snow but- the laces do not stay tied and it is very annoying. I'd appreciate any "shoe lace" advice.The color, fit and style are great but the lace problem makes them difficult to wear for a long period of time.

A great replacement for a pair purchased 15 years ago and finally gave out. Th size seems to be just a little narrower than the last pair. Still a great product.

I followed the suggestions on line and bought a size smaller and a width narrower and these shoes are still a tad loose even with rag socks. They look great, though. So, I think I will try putting those heel pads in the back just to hold my heel in place when I walk. I was disappointed that LLBean doesn't offer these shoes for kids, but my 10 year old son can wear these, too. So, we're sharing them!

Brought the mocs back to LLBean Store in Mansfield because the tie broke first time wearing them. Didn't have the product in but gentleman were very helpful at the service desk and also in the shoe dept. Item was backordered but didn't take long in being delivered. Thank you.
