This is the second pair of Bean Boots that I have purchased in the last 30 years. The first pair never got much use because they were way too big and uncomfortable. I recently purchased my second pair after reading good reviews about them, because I needed something that I could slip into that I did not need to lace up when running errands. Why LL Bean can't make the boots to the correct size baffles me, though. They tell you to subtract a full size and order accordingly. In my case I wear a 7 1/2 men's which meant I needed to order a size 6. Well they don't make a size 6 in men's, so I called customer service and was told I needed to order a women's size 8, which I did and they fit perfectly. Again why can't LL Bean take all of these adjustments into consideration when making the boots so when I order a size seven they will fit me without me knowing they are really a women's size 8? Nontheless, I am still pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a confortable waterproof boot.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my wife (Maine native) who had no clue until the "reveal". She has an ample supply of your apparel, yet yearned for a pefect pair of footwear. She treasures the Rubber Moc Boots, and thanks me profusely every time she has the chance to put them on. A+++

I love the color most of all; but, was surprised that the fit, AA was perfect and going down a whole size worked as well. The shoes are comfortable, functional and aesthetic; a plus - they are adjustable to fit my narrow ankle. Very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered a pair of these because I remembered how I loved them many years ago. The quality is still there but the fit isn't - exhanged three different widths and lengths before giving up. I think the wide ones are also wide in the heel so they fall off but the med width was a little too narrow in the front. If I could order a wide front with a med. width heel, would love to love another pair. Love that they are made in Maine!

I love these Mocs. I put them on right away and they are comfortable right out of the box. I got mine in black. They are comfortable and look great with jeans. I ordered mine 1/2 a size bigger so I can wear a heavier sock with them in the New England weather her in CT. I recommend them highly.

I love these shoes for our rainy and muddy weather. They even work for snow! I'm glad that I listened to the reviews and ordered them smaller than my regular size. They are perfect with thick socks.

These look and feel great. They seem to have good arch support. They are, however, WAY big. I normally wear a 10-1/2. Since they don't come in 1/2 sizes, I ordered 11, returned them, and am now comfortably wearing 10s.

The shoe is well constructed, and comfortable. It looks great with jeans and is now my "go to" shoe when it is rainy or snowy. As others have posted it does run large. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 in average width (even occasionally wide width) but I ordered the size 6, average width. The smaller size fits well lengthwise but the width is still roomy, especially in the heel area. I have to wear heavy socks to compensate.

I bought a pair of these shoes years ago and loved them then. After trying other types I have come back. I have horses and at times a lot of mud. These give great traction and hose off easily. I like it that I can slide my feet in them without having to bend over and tie them. My feet are wide and the extra width is just right. I paid more for these than other similar types but my experience with my first pair was they far outlasted the competition. Try them, you'll like them.

I read the reviews to order down a size, which I did. When I received them they still seemed big but they did not offer a smaller size so I kept them--I'm glad I did! They fit fine--perfect when I actually wear socks. They are extremely comfortable and I love that I can just slide them on and go...Love the black!

They were purchased for my granddaughter and she really loves them. We had to send them back on the original purchase because they run big. Your suggestion is to buy up because they do not come in 1/2 size, but when we did they were too large.

I confess I do like these sturdy rain shoes. I read the reviews before I purchased, so I was aware about the size running too large. Normally I would order a size 9 shoe, but I ordered an 8 in these. They fit JUST RIGHT and are most comfortable with thicker socks. My only negative observations are that the heels seem to slip ever-so-slightly when I walk, and the laces don't seem to stay secure enough- Not big enough problems to send them back. The quality of this shoe indicates that they will last a GOOD LONG time!

I had my first pair of rubber mocs for sooooooooooooooooo long. Had to get another pair - thanks for putting inof on site about going down a size. Thye fit is perfect, came on time and I have finally got to use them (first snowfall). I LOVE THEM>

I absolutely LOVE these shoes! They are so comfortable and look great! I would highly recommend these! I normally wear a 8 and the 7 in these fits perfect.

I absolutely love these rubber mocs. The first pair were too big as I had ordered wide but I had no trouble returning them and reordered the regular width in these. They are very comfortable and stylish....I love the navy blue color!

I really like these shoes. Our puppy 'customized' the last pair so I just replaced them with a brand new pair. I usually wear a 6 1/2 or 7, LLBean makes room for a thick pair of warm socks so I ordered a 6 and they are perfect for me with medium weight socks. I can walk thru thick mud without losing them, then hose them right off if needed. Nice arch support, too - very comfortable even when out in the fields all day.

Love the moc but very large for the size. Had other boots this size from you that fit well. Phone operator answered immediately and expedited my exchange. Great service!

I wear anything from a 7.5 to 8.5 women's wide width shoe depending on the shoe. My feet measure about an 8 E width. I've had bunion surgery & sensitive feet. The size 8 were a bit long , but large enough to fit with super thick wool socks. You can cinch up the lace to help with heel slippage. My sister borrowed & kept the size 8's to wear in the mountains with layers of socks. She did not complain of any slippage on the heel & her feet are same size as mine, but slightly shorter. I ordered the 7's and they fit great with up to a medium thickness sock. I have no heel slippage with the 7's (the 8's had heel slippage which wasn't comfortable for all day wearing for me). Both sizes had good toe depth to fit with my slightly turned-up big toe. It is so rare that a shoe fits me especially one I can wear comfortably with socks. I back ordered the 8" women's boot in size 8, wide D width to accommodate heavy wool socks & hopefully the taller style won't have the same heel slippage problem.

This is my 3rd go around with the Rubber Moc!! Each of the 1st 2 have lasted many, many, years, like 10 years each!! Very comfortable, water resistant, durable and fashionable! Working in the stables, around the house or shopping, these are the shoes for me! Slip on, slip off, and rinse off. I am and bought a size 8. They do run a bit big, but nothing that a medium weight sock can't fix. So it is recommended to purchase your exact size. Gr8 value!
