Very comfortable for all day walking at our state farm show. The recommendation of ordering one size down is accurate...I take a womens 10 and ordered a size 9. Worked perfectly with medium weight socks. Have already ordered some mid height boots for our son.

These shoes are so easy to wear, easy to slip on and kick off, I ordered a 6 & I normally wear a 7.5 & they fit great with all types of socks. They're going to be great this spring & summer to wear outside when doing lawn/garden work & also wearing out to the barn. Easy to wash off being waterproof.

LOVE these! Wear them every day. I do take a size 7 for shoes, and ordered a size 7 as it was noted they run large. The 7 is still big, but...if I wear heavier socks, they're fine. I love these because I can wear them year round.

Sturdy and waterproof. Slip on and off easily to walk the dog etc... Normal size is 10N, ordered a 9N and they fit perfectly! Worth the price and more. Don't make my feet look big either and that's a real plus.

I wasn't sure when I ordered these that I would like them let alone love them but I do! They are so easy to slip off and on and being fairly active, I am in and out of the house frequently so they are perfect for me . The 8's are a little long but the ease of slipping in and out of them makes up for that

In anticipation of a wet el Nino winter in L.A. (Los Angeles - not Lewiston Auburn), I picked up a pair of these rubber mocs last year during a recent visit to Freeport. The L.A. weather forecasters were off their mark - I wore these mocs just once that year. But I am definitely getting my money's worth this winter. These mocs are perfect for keeping my feet dry in all the rain we've been getting. These mocs are stable and help to keep me upright on slippery surfaces. These mocs are also cute, easy to step into, and even easier to kick off and under my desk once I get to work. The other reviewers are right - they do run large. I am glad I tried these on at the store before purchasing them.

Best winter shoe purchase ever! I wasn't sure if I wanted them in the first place, but now I wear them every day in the winter months. They run big, I'm usually 7.5/8 depending on the brand, and I bought a size 6 which is a good fit. The only thing that I had trouble with was the outside edge hitting my ankle bone. I got a shoe insert to higher my heel and my problem is solved! Love love love, highly recommend!

LL Bean suggests going down a size on the mocs. I'm a true size 8 & purchased the size 7. They slip in the heal as described while wearing a light/medium weight sock, but that was expected. As others noted, the ability to tighten the laces should improve as the leather softens with wear. Otherwise, fit great in the toe box & the arch is in the right place for my foot. I found this shoe to be more comfortable & versatile than the LLBean Boot for our weather conditions. The first day I wore them, I had no issues & look forward to wearing them again.

I wasn't sure that ordering the wide would solve my high Instep issue. I was imagining a shoe that was really wide but still too tight across the top. With other shoes, it's been recommended that I order the next size up, which leads to tripping because of over long toe boxes. So, I decided to experiment. I ordered the 8M, the 9M and the 8W. 8W FTW!

Had to return the first pair purchased as they were too big, but one size down and these are perfect for slushy days, rain!

Had a bit of a problem getting the size right but LL Bean was great to work with on exchanges. Comfortable even worn all day. I ordered 2 sizes smaller than I normally wear. Warm too.

My husband bought these for me as a gift (with me there to help). I LOVE them!! They fit like a Dansko clog, so the heel will be a little loose but they're perfect if you read how to size them for your feet. I wear athletic socks and the rag socks from LLBean so the fit is great. Normally wear an 8 so I requested a 7 and the fit is just as described. Great Christmas gift especially with this weird northern IL weather this winter. Will be back to get the shearling insert too if the temperature dips into the negative degrees again. Oh, and I have the brown color. It goes so well with jeans and cleans off easily. The leather is nice and thick too, very durable.

I bought this pair of shoes for my daughter so that she would have a pair of sturdy outdoor shoes. I have a pair that I wear whenever I work in the yard. I have had my pair for over 10 years and they are still in good condition. They do run large, so follow the size suggestions given when ordering. I would recommend them to anyone needing reliable/long lasting outdoor shoes.

I had initially ordered a 7 W, but they were too large on me, so I had to send the shoes back, and got them changed to a 6 Narrow. I just received them today right before Christmas! I tried them on and they fit right. I may need to break into them though. I just wanted to thank LL Bean for so quickly sending the new pair! I have bought several items such as jackets, clothes,school backpacks for my kids and shoes from LL Bean, and my family and I have never been disappointed. Good quality stuff, and excellent customer service. Very happy!

I rarely write reviews...but I couldn't be happier with the purchase of these moccasins! I live in San Antonio, TX and although we don't get any snow here, it still gets cold and wet in the winter. I wanted a boot that was waterproof, cute and easy on/off for taking my dogs out, mail, etc. These moccasins are a perfect winter shoe; when worn with thick wool socks they keep my feet plenty warm even when the temperature dropped into the 30's here recently. I was a little confused as to what size to order after reading all the reviews & sizing information. My feet are hard to fit, so I don't usually order shoes online but there is no LLBean store near me so I thought I'd give it a try. I am typically a size 8.5-9 (always get a 9 in a running shoe and in some shoes I may need a wide). I ordered a size 8M and the fit is absolutely perfect with the Wool Ragg Socks from LLBean (or socks with a similar thickness). I was able to tighten the laces a little for a comfortable fit so the heel slips just enough without making me feel like I was going to slip out of my shoes. I am ordering a pair of theses moccasins for one my daughters as well. My only complaint is that these moccasins don't come in a size 5, so my other daughter (who normally wears a 6) doesn't get a pair :(

I live in Seattle, and wanted a pair of waterproof, slip-on shoes to leave by the door for running out to the mailbox, and quick trips to the store. These Rubber Mocs are perfect! As described, they run large; think men's sizing. I usually wear size 9, I ordered size 8 and even with my hiking-weight socks I have plenty of room, but don't think I could have gone smaller, unless wearing lightweight socks. So ordering down 1 size worked for me. Note that there is no insulation in these mocs. So heavy socks are a good thing.

As recommended in the comments for these rubber mocs, I ordered one size smaller than my normal shoe size, which is 9W. However, I should not have ordered the wide width. When I tried walking in them, they slipped off the back of my foot. I took them back to my local L.L. Bean store and they were happy to exchange them. They didn't have the blue in stock, but they said they could order them for me in the right size. I tried on the brown ones in 8M, and they fit much better. They still felt a little loose, but the sales associate explained that once the leather collar softens, it will be easier to tighten them up with the leather lace. I am now awaiting my new blue mocs to arrive in the mail.

A gift for my wife. They last for quite along time, this is only the second pair in over 10 years.

As we have had two snowfalls since I received these shoes, I am so happy to have them (along with a pair of the 6" boots for heavier snowfalls). They are true to size as long as you take note of the advice about getting a size smaller. I take from size 7.5-8 normally, so getting the size 7 in these shoes is perfect as I will be wearing them with thicker socks (which of course you will in bad weather). I also love the look of them. Very tough construction, and I feel that I will have them for many years to come, so that makes the cost so reasonable (not much really when you consider how long they will last). I recommend them and also the boots.

Returned a Medium for a Narrow. I usually wear a 9 1/2 M. A 9 N fits good. Even so, the heels pull up some when walking, but feel comfortable with a boot sock. One thing which really helped was pulling the laces through and adjusting them tighter.

So far I love these shoes - - only complaint is that the heal is very wide and slips - need anti-slip inserts even with thicker socks. Lynz

I just received my second pair of rubber mocs. The first pair is still in good shape after more than three years, but they were really large and required very thick socks to fit. I have a wide foot and high instep. 8 wide is my normal size in a good shoe. This time I ordered down one full size to a 7-W, and they are perfect. Don't order a narrower pair of mocs, order your correct width and then one size smaller in length.

Since I already had a pair of Bean 6" boots in a size 8, that's the size I ordered when I ordered these Mocs....bad decision. Like they say, order a size down because these run large. Had to send them back & get a 7 which fit perfectly...love these Mocs, I wear them everywhere...they are so comfortable. I had a great experience with customer service in sending the first ones back. They were so helpful & I received the last ones very quickly. I love LL Bean's quality! Their merchandise is the best & lasts forever! If in doubt, don't be....these Mocs are great!!
