I wore these indoors for one season and now the footbed is bare leather the wool has worn off, leaving an imprint of my foot. The inside is also sticky and has started to smell. Also the laces ALWAYS come untied which is so annoying. Not worth the money.

I have had a pair of these for 5 years and love them but ordered them for me and my daughter for Christmas. My old ones were lined with sheepskin and these are fake fur. They feel like I am walking in cardboard boxes. I have tightened them up but still awkward walking. They do not keep my feet warm like my old ones. Very disappointed from my previous ones. The quality has definitely declined!

I ordered these at the recommendation of a friend who loves hers. I want so badly to love mine too - but I am very disappointed. Let me preface this by saying I never have problems getting shoes to fit - I don't have weird feet. The toe box is too narrow. One shoe is visibly more pointed and narrow in the toe box than the other (right foot) - this seems like a quality control for LL Bean. The heels are too loose and I almost walk out of the shoes. If I sized down, I am certain I wouldn't be able to get my foot into the toe of the shoe at all. With socks my heel doesn't slip but then the right toe is even tighter. I'm sad to have to return these and try out another brand :(

At first, these slippers fit great and were very warm. As I began to wear them, the front ripped on one, leaving me without a string because it fell out. Then the bottoms of them started to fall apart. I barely have slippers anymore, and I bought these from LLBean since this company is known to make quality items that last. So I'm disappointed that they have fallen apart. I still gave it a "2" because they are warm and comfortable.

I order another pair as the ones I currently have are falling apart. I have owed various pairs of these slippers as they do not slide on the floor like other cheap slippers do. When I opened the box of my new pair, I closed it immediately. I spent top $$'s for cheap lining vs the old wool ones. Sending them back and buying a pair of UGG's instead. Sorry LL Bean but you lost me as a customer as you sold out. I would have paid the $100 for your slippers vs $80 for synthetic whatever.

I wanted to like these. The red is a nice color. They fit strangely and the fleece inside is very uneven in each slipper, more here, less there. Too wide and short. Returned. What has happened to LLBean's fleece slippers? The fleece inside is just not the quality it used to be.

I loved these slippers so much that I bought a pair for my mother-in-law and bought a pair for my daughter. Over time the material just does not stand up. The material split on the outer side of my right foot. Same thing happened to my mother in law. I returned them both and it happened again. My daughter's were starting to breakdown as well. I returned them a third time and exchanged them for the Wicked Good Camp Moccasin which has extra material stiched on the side for reinforcement. I'm hoping this is the last time I have to exchange these. When I asked my mother in law if she wanted me to replace hers she told me not to bother because she bought herself a pair of UGG slippers. She was too disappointed to have them exchanged a third time. Another downside is the laces keep coming untied. When I returned them to the Llbean store the cashier told us Llbean does not guarantee returns for normal wear and breakdown. Fortunately, the manager assisted us, and we were able to return our item. The customer experience at the store was disappointing.

I ordered these in a 7(I am a 7.5) in Oct 2016 and loved it for the first month. I could wear inside the house and quickly drop the kids off to school and get my coffee without an issue. In November I noticed the fluff lining was gone by my mid heel. The tassle ties come undone all the time which is annoying, but I like that I can adjust the tightness to it, so it should never be a permanent tie. There isn't any orthotic support to the sole of the feet, but it is a bit better than your typical household slipper you can buy at any dept store. The real issue here is I wouldn't mind it so much if it matched appropriately with the price. I should have returned my pair bc it is not a good value for the cost. So a star taken our for cost. Another star for fluff disappearance so quickly (which makes the shoe too roomier and that's that I already sized down). Another lost star for lack of orthotic support. If none of these things occurred then I can reason the price, but I wont be reordering this ever again. Too many orthotic fluffy memory foam winter options out there for this slipper.

I received this slippers as a xmas gift a couple of years ago. I only wear these in the cooler months and only for a hour and a half a night. When they are new, they are comfortable and cozy and live up to the wicked good name but its temporary. These slippers deteriorated fast! The shearling has disappeared! It happened slowly so I didn't notice for a while. Slowly but surely, there is no shearling in the mid sole all the way back to the heal in both shoes. I will note that the shearling around the outside the slipper is pretty much intact. The sole has pretty much bottomed out and the insole is rock hard. These slippers are not worth the $80 price tag. I have had $20 slippers last longer than these. One more detail that bothered me a lot is the laces never stayed tied. I am tying them at least once or twice every time I wear them. Finally, I just want to say, my slippers had minimal wear time so I can only imagine what these would look like if I lived in them like some people.

Have worn these for years. Santa always remembers that I need a new pair every other year. Slippers arrived yesterday. I was so excited that I opened them at once. They are so long they flip up on the heel as I walk. One of the reasons I have bought these slippers over the last 20+ years is that they feel like I'm walking on a cloud. My new delivery is very, very different. The fur seems synthetic and my feet don't feel like they are on pillows. The tag, however, says they are real fur from lamb from Australia. I will be calling customer service tomorrow. And, by the way, they are made in China. Shame on me. I checked the little tag in my old and new pairs and could not believe my eyes. I will be checking out the original Australian slippers tomorrow even though they are much more expensive. Sorry, Bean...I am really disappointed.

I wear my slippers every day when I'm home. I never go barefoot. I've been purchasing these slippers for the last 7 years (I usually get a new pair every other year for Christmas...but I had to get another pair two years in a row in 2015 & 2016) and the past two pairs I have noticed a huge decline in quality. The fur inside gets matted quickly and starts wearing away within the first two months of wearing them, especially near the toes, heel, and ankle. This causes them to rub and it's uncomfortable. I used to be able to wear them for almost the two years without that happening. I'm currently on my 4th pair and they are a mess. I don't think I'm going to be purchasing these for this year. Very disappointed...

I had high hopes for these slippers, but overall I have been disappointed with the purchase. The slippers stretched out after wearing them for a short time and now are too big to wear comfortably without socks. The rawhide laces are hard to keep tied, even after attempting the seaman's shoelace knot shown on the instructional video. I'm an LLBean fan and haven't had a single issue with their other products.

I ordered these having high expectations because of the price and quality usually from L.L Bean.. I am so disappointed. I ordered an 8 because my size is 7.5 and it still fits too small.. my toes are almost scrunched to the front. The inside of the shoe barely has any padding or warmth.. it seems as though it's all on the outside. No comfort in the front of the shoe.. feels like my toes are on the hard floor. I will be returning this item and trying a different slipper. I gave it two stars because the design is cute.. other than that I wouldn't have given it.

I bought these four years ago and at first they were great, but today I noticed a rip on the side next to the sole. I don't know how long they are supposed to last, but I expected longer than four years. And they are only worn for about three months a year. I really like LL Bean products in general, but I don't think I would buy these particular slippers again.

This slipper had rave reviews and I was so excited to try but I have found it doesn't fit my foot well. Most of the times the laces would come undone and I was stuck tying them a lot and they felt loose on my feet. Unfortunately they will be going back.

I have had these for less than 2 years. I absolutely adored these when I first got them. Fuzzy and comfortable, plus a real sole so that they can be a little more versatile. Less than a year in though, the shearling on the inside, particularly in the heel area, completely wore down. With a $20 slipper from Target, this would be fine. But an $80 slipper from LL Bean lasting less than 2 years? Pretty unacceptable.

My fourth pair. Loved the earlier ones. These are not the same quality. Lumpy on the inside and never broke in. The others were always soft fleece. I reordered and am hoping that this was just one bad pair out of the batch.

I bought these as a Christmas present to myself 2016. The first couple of months they were excellent. Kept my feet warm and were very comfortable. That is until the shearling on the inside starting rolling up in the toe area and the shearling in the heal started falling out. Now the shearling in the heal is gone and the toe area is one big ball of uncomfortableness that I keep trying to get to lay flat. This is the first L.L. Bean product that I own that does not live up to its name. Very disappointed.

I am pretty disappointed in this pair of slippers. At 6 months of light wear, I had worn through the lining - there is literally no shearling left where my foot sits in the shoes. I only wore these in the evening in my home so they didn't see a lot of use. I had been purchasing slippers at around $20 and they would last maybe half a year so I spent more money on these and didn't see an improvement in lifespan. I wouldn't recommend these slippers for the price.

I have to agree with previous commenters on the decline in quality of these slippers. I have purchased these slippers every other year (lately every year because they just don't hold up like they used to) for quite some time. They used to be so plush and well constructed, but not anymore. The last ones I received had a very noticeable decrease in padding and fleece. I decided to overlook that and keep them. Well, the stitching started to rip within a month until finally it just split open near the sides and the toe (and there was nothing wrong with the sizing if that's what you're thinking). Needless to say I'm very disappointed because I always looked forward to purchasing a new pair of these but after reading similar reviews about disappointing quality it appears my slippers were not a fluke. I'm super bummed because I've always loved these and now have to find a replacement.

I have purchased your moccasins for a long time. I was completely satisfied up until this order. What have you done! The fleece is no where near as thick and plush. The fleece that used to surround the outside of the moccasins used to be so full and beautiful. Now it is no better than what Minnetonka Moccasins does on their moccasins. That isn't saying much at all. There is no where near the padding you used to have. What used to be a world class product is now average to barely average. I am so bitterly disappointed I could cry. I can no longer rave about and recommend this product. This will probably be my last time purchasing these. I never thought y'all would loose your quality.

Upon receiving the slippers they are very tight and uncomfortable, after wearing for a couple months they have stretched out and although they are comfortable. The laces on the top do not stay tied. I would not recommend them as you constantly trip on the laces or have to stop to tie them every few minutes.

Is there a trick to keeping the leather strings tied? Most days I work from home and wear my slippers all day. However, I have to frequently stop and re-tie the leather strings. I can't just remove them because then the slippers are too big. This wouldn't be such a major concern, however, I keep tripping on the strings going up and down stairs.

I have been wearing these slippers for at least the past 15 years. This recent pair was about an inch shorter than the old ones.I measured them against each other and by using a tape measure. The difference was visible. The slippers also felt like the depth was diminished and the area around the side and heel of the slipper was cut lower. I don't know whether the whole measurements of the slipper have changed or this was just an anomaly. Has the manufacturing of these slippers been contracted out? I can't go up a size as this was a size 11. Luckily I still have my old one as I find them difficult to dispose of. Am I disappointed? Extremely!!!

Loved them, comfy - wear every day. Purchased in August - but now sole has come loose... If not for that would give 5 stars. I do wear only as slippers - don't wear outside.
