The name of these slippers is laughable because they are not "wicked" comfortable. Sure the high pile shearling is a luxury to behold, no doubt about it. However how is it supposed to feel as though one were walking upon a cloud when the slipper is made without proper cushioning in between the shearling and a thin rubber sole? The padding in my slipper was VERY thin, practically shrinking down to nothing once you're standing upon it. Perhaps all the five star reviews are from people who have luxury carpets in their homes, therefore they don't feel the real life discomfort of walking in these "wicked" slippers upon a hardwood floor. If L. L. Bean wants to manufacture a superior slipper then they'll need to use PROPER cushioning such as cloudfoam otherwise their slippers will never be "wicked" comfortable. Additionally the leather of the outside slipper is very thin and seems as though it would rip easily. Needless to say I returned my pair and asked for a refund completely disappointed.

I bought this as my only Christmas present for myself. When I received them I was so excited because my last pair I wore all the time until a puppy used them as a chew toy. It has been a few years since then and I have tried other slippers, but finally decided to come back and purchase these again. I tried them on and they were tight around the toe area. I tried wearing them 1 more time and they were just too tight. I returned them asking for them to be replaced with the same size but in wide on 12/28/19. It is now 1/15/20 and I have not received notice of them being received nor have I received the new pair in the correct width. I am very disappointed in LL Bean.

L.L. Bean products are normally top quality. These slipper moccasins are thin in the bottom and they provide little support. And the leather lacings will not stay tied no matter how hard I pull on them to tie them. I have to retie them every day. Just disappointed in the quality of these slippers.

I bought these for my wife and it was suggested I get one size lower due to reviews however when we got it was too small. I have since shipped them back for a higher size over 2 weeks ago and have not gotten any communication whether it was received or when the new ones would be shipped. I called customer service and they said they had a back log returns and for me to check a week later. UNACCEPTABLE. These were $80 and the service for returning has been horrible. I will be calling again today!!!

Sadly, the slippers did not fit well, too loose. Took them back to the store! It was an easy return at least.

The slipper is too long by a finger ( my wife's). I can't order a 7 as it could be too short. What do you suggest? Would like to get same size without a heel.

I had a pair of these from two years ago and loved with the exception that they kept coming untied. I thought maybe it was a fluke of this pair so was very excited for my new pair, but had the same problem. They just won't stay tied! On my old pair I ended up just pulling them out. I am going to try and glue the knot on these ones. Other than the tie, they are super comfortable and warm but I probably won't order them again because of the tie issue.

I bought these slippers in September of 2019. In the first few weeks I found them very uncomfortable as they were breaking in, but persevered and they ended up very comfortable. I wish it were easier to tell from above which slippers is the left slippers and which is the right. But regardless, I pretty much loved them for the first few months. But then, barely 2 months old, they started to fall apart. I need a teeny tiny crochet hook to fix them, and I'm considering just sending them back instead. If they already need a repair, I can't imagine that the rest of the product won't start falling apart prematurely.

I received these slippers as a Christmas gift 2 years ago and only wear them on evenings in the winter. The footbed, specifically the heal, wore out in about a year and now they are unwearable. What's left of the heal actually makes them painful to wear. Unfortunately, the footbed is not removable so these are headed for the trash. $80 for slippers that won't last 2 years? Definitely not work it.

my husband purchased these slippers for me as a Christmas gift. I absolutely loved them, but the issue is they don't last. I expected them to last a a lot longer especially for the price tag and know friends who have had them for years. I believe since they changed their return policy the quality has gone down hill.I always wore them indoors and only in the cold months and a hold started near the stitch near the bottom of the sole. I took them to the store and they said that it was normal wear ad tear.... I've only worse these slippers for 2 winter season. I am very disappointed , as I love LLbean but unfortunately will not be purchasing these again since they do not last. I wish that LLbean would have given me another pair i wasn't even looking for a refund, as I took very good care of them. very disappointed in the customer service....

My absolute need for sheepskin lined slippers for my icy feet compelled me to purchase these expensive slippers. That being said... I loved them at first, they were soft, cushy, perfectly-fitting comfortable slippers. I wore them about 2 months in the mornings only, and the fleece on the soles completely disappeared, flattened! I am a 5'2" , 117 lb gramma. I do not think this should have happened so quickly. Went in trash even before the season was over. Also, the ties were always tripping me, as they never stayed secure. I will keep an eye on most recent ratings to decide if I will ever purchase these again.

I watched YouTube reviews about these slippers and also read online reviews and these were rated the softest slippers. I also ordered a size up based on reviewers. Both where incorrect. And I am returning them. They are way too long and 2 wide. Also I don't feel these are any softer slippers I have purchased before such as dearfoams. And these are obviously more expensive so I expected much much more. I am sad they didn't work as I have arthritis in my feet and wanted something to wear around the house to combat this pain but back they go :-(.

I have owned a pair of these in the past that lasted years. The quality is no longer there. The lining matted and became uncomfortable to step on after a month. After 3 months, the leather started to tear at the top stitching. I usually don't return items after I use them but I returned these. They are not worth the price.

I had purchased a pair years ago and was hoping for the same quality I letdown. the stitching is already coming undone. It is quite upsetting as I always used to enjoy the warmth of these slippers. I guess I will have to look elsewhere

I'm surprised to see so many comments saying these are true to size. My dad bought these for me last Christmas (7 months ago) and they have stretched out so much I can barely walk in them. They are my normal size. I'm really disappointed. Everything else about them is good, but it doesn't matter because they are so big I can't wear them comfortably.

I bought these for everyone in the family this winter. The one that I bought for my daughter seems worn out pretty quickly. Even though she did not wear these very often the bottom looks like the wool was shaved off. I took them back and I was told that it is normal wear and tear, they can not exchange them. BTW she only wear them inside the house unlike others wearing them outside.

I purchased my first pair of slippers in 2015 and loved them. I then purchased the slippers for my mother and mother in law for Christmas - they loved them. I just recently purchased a second pair of slippers for me (I wore them so much I needed new!). Within 1 month, the stitching on the slipper came out and they are difficult to wear. Now I'll need to go through the hassle of returning them for another pair.

Given that slippers are usually the most comfortable thing you ever put on your feet, I was very sad to discover that these slippers are NOT comfortable. It's as if instead of making them feet shaped, they instead cut little rectangles and made the slippers out of them. They have not conformed to my feet at all in the four weeks since I got them and I genuinely hate them. They came with instructions that said they would stretch a bit but they still are uncomfortable. I would strongly advise against getting these slippers.

This is the third pair of these slippers I've bought. This time the fur looks like polyester, it is cut shorter than in the past. Quality has definitely gone downhill. I won't buy them again.
