I've bought several LL Bean lined slippers (in addition to many other items) over the years. They had been very good quality and lasted a long time. When I went to buy another pair recently I was disappointed to see that all they are offering now are the "wicked good" style.
I paid much more for these and they are not "wicked good"; they are not even plain "good". They did not fit well (strangely high at the heel, although that has gotten better over time) and, much worse, after only a month the lining started falling out. After 3 months I have found 4 sizable chunks of the lining on the floor. This leads me to believe that these are much poorer quality than the previous LL Bean slippers I have bought in the past.
I have been an LL Bean customer for decades but this, in addition to the change in the LL Bean return policy, has made me start to doubt the commitment to quality that had made me a loyal customer.

And now that manufacturing of this product is outsourced, you're not doing the sewing. After six years the soles on one of my slippers cracked and chunks are falling off. The are now bound for the trash bin. Extremely disappointing. The soles of my Bean duck boots, made in USA, that I've had since early '90s just wore out a few years ago. These slippers, made in China, fall apart in six years.

I bought these slipper maccasons for Christmas. Within 3 months the top portion separated from the stitching. I was told the item could not be exchanged because they were worn outside and as slippers they were only covered from damage if they had been worn inside.

I have always been impressed with LL Bean quality, however, this product is very disappointing. After only two winter seasons (I wear some excellent moose hide LL Bean shoes the rest of the year; over 7 years now!), the shearling inside is coming apart.

This would have been my third pair in as many years ( annual Christmas gift from family). The amount and density of the linen is significantly less than prior years. Unfortunately going to exchange for something else besides slippers.

leaves tiny little black bits on rug if you scuff your slipper while walking on the rug. Looks like mouse droppings but it is the slipper.Would never buy again. Save your money and get something good.
The long shot might be that this came from a bad batch of slippers

Sent a pair of Wicked Good Mocs to my son-in-law for Christmas. He was so happy about getting them, but in trying on the pair for the first time one of the Mocs literally ripped apart. Sad! LL Bean of course promptly replaced the item, but really this should never have happened in the first place.

Mine are a little over a year old. The fur inside is gone from the heal and has all moved up front. Not what I would expect.

I ordered these after my trusted slippers of five years fell apart. My father has a pair of LL Bean slippers and likes them, so I thought I would give them a go. It took a week for my slippers to arrive (although the shipping only took three days, the rest was processing time).
When they got to my home, I was very excited to slip into comfort. Never in my life have I worn a wide shoe, and yet when I tried on my size 8 EE slippers, they cut off my circulation. Thinking I could potentially circumvent long processing time as I was about to head out of town and would like the slippers before then, I gave customer service a call. They were unable to speed along the time. Since I was unable to wait and was frustrated by such unhelpful service, I will be returning these and ordering my slippers elsewhere. They looked comfortable enough, but I recommend a better sizing guide.

Sized 9W. The right slipper was tighter than the Left. Even the left slipper was a bit snug. Overall not a very good wide slipper. Returned.

Just to start, I wear these around the house and only go outside to take in the mail. That's why when I spend $70 on slippers to at least last more than a year. The fur on the inside is falling out and the stitching is coming apart.

I have bought and worn these slippers for the last 30 years ! I go through one pair per year because I wear them EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year !
I have arthritis in my toes and need a slipper that provides loft & cushion. These slippers are/ WERE the only ones that didn't make my feet hurt- UNTIL now when I felt the HUGE difference in the shearling quality and quantity. Basically - there is hardly any on the inside soles of the slipper ! Many reviewers love the slippers, but they must have not owned any Wicked Good slippers prior because if they had-they would have given a poor review as well. Their price keeps going up- which I could handle, but not now. I am so discouraged and disappointed by the poor quality of this L.L.BEAN slipper.
I returned my current purchase and I will never buy these slippers or any LL Bean slippers again and that statement makes me sad.

Many years ago these were made to last. As the price increased, the overall quality went down regarding the sheepskin. It is not worth the money unless you get a sizable sale on it because the last 3 pairs that I have owned, self-destructed within 2 years. P.S.- I never wear them outside, as I live in an apartment. Sorry, I can no longer recommend this to anyone unless LL Bean starts to make them as they were made many years ago!

While sitting down, these moccasins are very comfortable, but walking is another story. As soon as I take a step, I walk right out of them. As I bend my foot, my heel escapes the moccasin and then the front gets loose. Right now I'm on crutches (broken ankle) and the slipper has fallen off my foot on many occasions.
I tried tightening the laces, but that doesn't help. The area covering my heel is just not high enough to keep my heel in the moccasin. Another half an inch would have solved the whole problem.
I have gone back to my 5 year old $25.00 moccasins.

I would not recommend this item, the material inside the slipper balls up.

I bought these slippers for my husband as a birthday gift to replace the pair he has worn for 10 years (also LL Bean Wicked Good). Those pair were great, but these barely lasted 6 months before the side seams split, the shearing wore out in the heels, and they just did not hold up.
LL Bean did replace them but the quality control is not as it was.

I received my second pair thinking my first pair's problems were a fluke. But no-the fur simply does not last. I think a pair of $70 slippers should last more than a few months before the fur wears out on the heels or toes. I have not had the clumping problem.I am returning for my third pair. Either three strikes and your out or third time is a charm! we will see...
LLbean has been great to deal with however. They just say send them back and tell us what you want: another pair, a different pair or your money back. Fantastic customer service. Doesn't get any better!!

I had to save some money to buy these. I'm disabled and don't make a lot of money. That's why it took me a little time to save for them. I wanted to be sure to get LL Bean cause of reputation and owner other LL Bean clothing. But, I made a mistake buying these. They're about as warm as a pair of flip-flops..That's about it.

My 3rd or 4th pair in several years. The day I started wearing these, little clumps of fur about the size of my thumbnail started coming out on the floor, bed, etc. The tongue on the left shoe wouldn't stand up and kept flopping over. The leather string on the right shoe won't stay tied. I have to tie the string in several knots to keep it off the floor. The last pair I had did the same thing. I tied the string in double knots but it didn't help.It still comes loose. I am very disappointed in this product and will be returning them.

Bought a pair of these almost two years ago. Hardly ever wear them because the fleece in the right moccasin has clumped to the front under where my toes join my foot. Makes it almost impossible to walk. This happened early on. I figured I would get around to dealing with it, but kept putting it off. Tried to resolve again today to no avail, so I figured it was time to write a review. Similar problem with the left moccasin, but not near as bad.

Be cautious in ordering size. I wear a 1/2 size shoe and this larger than normal moc made it difficult to walk without fear of tripping. Not certain it was the size, furry type lining or my age (I am a young senior).87

I have been wearing LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers for many years. The pair before this last pair tore at the ties before wearing for 2 years and I do not wear them in the summer months. This latest pair, the sheepskin wore out inside at the heel and the toes. LLBean needs to find a more reliable manufacturer with better quality control. Seems to me, as the price keeps going up, the quality is going down!

My husband likes everything about this slipper--especially the new outdoor sole--except for one particularly noticeable new feature: the camo print. We're both nature lovers but not hunters or survivalists, and camo is commonly associated with both those groups. That's an image my husband doesn't want for himself or as a model for our kids. Why is this the only choice for indoor footwear, of all things? My husband thinks this print spoils a perfectly good pair of slippers, and frankly I agree. For women who wear men's shoe sizes, this mannish print isn't as attractive, say, as any of Bean's usual solid colors. As someone in the PR/Markekting field, I consider this print a curious and decidedly self-defeating choice that will limit sales. It's too late for winter 2013-14, but please rethink this for next year!
