Many years ago these were made to last. As the price increased, the overall quality went down regarding the sheepskin. It is not worth the money unless you get a sizable sale on it because the last 3 pairs that I have owned, self-destructed within 2 years. P.S.- I never wear them outside, as I live in an apartment. Sorry, I can no longer recommend this to anyone unless LL Bean starts to make them as they were made many years ago!

While sitting down, these moccasins are very comfortable, but walking is another story. As soon as I take a step, I walk right out of them. As I bend my foot, my heel escapes the moccasin and then the front gets loose. Right now I'm on crutches (broken ankle) and the slipper has fallen off my foot on many occasions.
I tried tightening the laces, but that doesn't help. The area covering my heel is just not high enough to keep my heel in the moccasin. Another half an inch would have solved the whole problem.
I have gone back to my 5 year old $25.00 moccasins.

I would not recommend this item, the material inside the slipper balls up.

I bought these slippers for my husband as a birthday gift to replace the pair he has worn for 10 years (also LL Bean Wicked Good). Those pair were great, but these barely lasted 6 months before the side seams split, the shearing wore out in the heels, and they just did not hold up.
LL Bean did replace them but the quality control is not as it was.

I received my second pair thinking my first pair's problems were a fluke. But no-the fur simply does not last. I think a pair of $70 slippers should last more than a few months before the fur wears out on the heels or toes. I have not had the clumping problem.I am returning for my third pair. Either three strikes and your out or third time is a charm! we will see...
LLbean has been great to deal with however. They just say send them back and tell us what you want: another pair, a different pair or your money back. Fantastic customer service. Doesn't get any better!!

I had to save some money to buy these. I'm disabled and don't make a lot of money. That's why it took me a little time to save for them. I wanted to be sure to get LL Bean cause of reputation and owner other LL Bean clothing. But, I made a mistake buying these. They're about as warm as a pair of flip-flops..That's about it.

My 3rd or 4th pair in several years. The day I started wearing these, little clumps of fur about the size of my thumbnail started coming out on the floor, bed, etc. The tongue on the left shoe wouldn't stand up and kept flopping over. The leather string on the right shoe won't stay tied. I have to tie the string in several knots to keep it off the floor. The last pair I had did the same thing. I tied the string in double knots but it didn't help.It still comes loose. I am very disappointed in this product and will be returning them.

Bought a pair of these almost two years ago. Hardly ever wear them because the fleece in the right moccasin has clumped to the front under where my toes join my foot. Makes it almost impossible to walk. This happened early on. I figured I would get around to dealing with it, but kept putting it off. Tried to resolve again today to no avail, so I figured it was time to write a review. Similar problem with the left moccasin, but not near as bad.

Be cautious in ordering size. I wear a 1/2 size shoe and this larger than normal moc made it difficult to walk without fear of tripping. Not certain it was the size, furry type lining or my age (I am a young senior).87

I have been wearing LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers for many years. The pair before this last pair tore at the ties before wearing for 2 years and I do not wear them in the summer months. This latest pair, the sheepskin wore out inside at the heel and the toes. LLBean needs to find a more reliable manufacturer with better quality control. Seems to me, as the price keeps going up, the quality is going down!

My husband likes everything about this slipper--especially the new outdoor sole--except for one particularly noticeable new feature: the camo print. We're both nature lovers but not hunters or survivalists, and camo is commonly associated with both those groups. That's an image my husband doesn't want for himself or as a model for our kids. Why is this the only choice for indoor footwear, of all things? My husband thinks this print spoils a perfectly good pair of slippers, and frankly I agree. For women who wear men's shoe sizes, this mannish print isn't as attractive, say, as any of Bean's usual solid colors. As someone in the PR/Markekting field, I consider this print a curious and decidedly self-defeating choice that will limit sales. It's too late for winter 2013-14, but please rethink this for next year!

Purchased October 2012 and by April 2013 the fleece lining the heels was gone. Lining outer edges and great toe areas also nearly gone. These are the 3rd pair of sheepskin lined slippers but the only ones to loose the lining. Not worth any where near the money.

I bought these slippers in January and by March they are practically worn out.
I can't believe LL Bean would produce such poor quality.
I have been buying LL Bean slippers for over 30 years but I will try a new brand this year.

I bought a pair of these slippers for my husband. They did not even last 2 years. The sheepskin started ripping on one shoe so I returned them for exchange. We have had the exchanged shoes less than 3 months and already a hole in the sheepskin. These are too expensive to last this short amount of time. I won't buy them again.

My wife and I have purchased these annually for at least 10 years. The quality, fit and consistency have really gone downhill. Both of our latest share the peculiar feature of being more comfortable worn on the wrong foot. Toe box issue? Also the slippers do not match, with less trim material on one of the slippers.

i purchased these slippers for my husband and myself two winters ago. they have been falling apart the past year. the lining has been falling apart and found on the floor; my husbands soles are now taped together; these slippers have only been used in house as house slippers should be; i am very disappointed by this product sold by llbean. i had expected much more wear from them; we are not hard on shoes or slippers; again, could it be the quality is not there from where they were manufactured; i will not purchae slippers from ll bean again;

These things do not last, unfortunately. There are some great moccasins out there, but they don't come from L.L. Bean anymore. I don't care how many times people say they are slippers and should not be worn outside, L.L. Bean knows how people wear them and should design them to fit the needs of their customers.

Bought these for my hubby for christmas......
They are already coming unstitched in several places, and the lining on the inside is coming out. $50 pair of houseshoes that are not well made at all!

I have been an LLBean fan forever. After raving about MY WG slippers that lasted for several years, I gave my (new) boyfriend a pair of these for Christmas 2009. By Christmas 2010, his toes were poking out. Today, there was a complete blowout! These have not gotten wet, are rarely worn outside and I do not understand what happened here. I have always been impressed with the quality of products from LLBean - I had an oxford cotton shirt for 11 years! A tanktop for 7! And as I said, my slippers lasted for a long time and I lived in Seattle and wore them outside in the rain way too often.

I bought these this summer as my previous slippers were wearing out. I did not start wearing them until October, when it cools off here in Arizona. Now the stitching is coming out and I need to order something new. I expected to get at least a year of wear out of these, but I only got about 4 months.

I ordered these because the wicked good slippers that i wanted are back ordered until march and my local outlet does not have anything other than size 9. The backs on these are wayy too low and very uncomfortable. the insides are also not as warm as expected and i don't know if this is because the air flows through from a low back or if they are just not that great. I do not recommend this pair of slippers.

I have purchased several pair of your Wicked Good Moccasins over the past 10-15 years. Up until the pair I ordered in Dec 2010 I was highly satisfied with the product. Since my prior order the quality and construction of the slipper has been cheapened considerably. The back of the slipper now lacks the "roll" of cushy material so what was once a comfortable feel against your tendon is now marginally comfortable to irritating. The sole is much thinner than before, also making for a less comfortable slipper.
I am very disappointed in the product since it "redesign" and would NOT recommend its purchase.
