I wear size 9 and these are just a bit tight when I wear socks...you may want to go up a half size. Otherwise, warm, comfortable slippers that I really like. I would love them if they fit properly.

This is my first purchase from LL Bean, and I've been looking at Moccasins for a while. Even though they were backordered, I got them in a short time. They fit comfortably, plenty of width, and the length is true to fit. Only complaint is the laces come undone pretty easily. Overall I would recommend them, as they are warm and comfortable.

Slippers are very warm and comfortable. Had WalM**t before. They last about 2 months before the soles crack. We'll see how these compare.

I grew tired of buying slippers during the "after holidays" sales that always wear-out after a couple months and decided to buy up and get a better pair. These wicked good mocs have been worn pretty much every day for 2 weeks now. My only complaint is that the fur kinda "balled-up" under the front bottom of my right foot but it seems to be flattening out a bit as I wear them. No problem with the left foot. I almost sent them back after two days but decided to take a longer look since the guarantee is "lifetime." I searched around for a wide width and these fit like I had hoped. They do well with or without socks. I don't regret spending the extra cash and hope they will last a good long time. So far, so good.

I have owned a number of these over the years.
I always wear them with socks and take good care of them but this time the innersoles have started to deteriorate - get all crumbly and start to break down. Never had this problem before. I called and was told to send them back for an exchange which I appreciate but I'm wondering if the new ones with ultimately have the same problem. These are only about a year old.

I received a pair of these several years ago. As many other reviews state, they are incredibly comfortable and warm. The hard soles are great for quick jaunts outside. My old slippers would soak through if I went out onto the deck when it was wet. I walk in these 100 yards out to our mailbox no problem. The top seam in the back has come apart on mine a bit, but after several years of stepping on the backs putting them on and tugging on the backs to pull them on. Also, after several years, some of the fluffy lining has worn away down to the leather. I know that LL Bean would warranty them, but I feel that I got my fair use out of them and that they still do their job anyway. I'll put another pair on my Christmas wish list for next year. I was gifted a pair of elkhides this year for wearing at the office.

As others have mentioned, the lining wears out. The last pair I bought in March 2015 wore out faster than any other pair I've owned (on 4th pair now). I returned them (1st time doing this) and a new pair is on its way. Despite this, I love these slippers. They are warm, provide support, look nice, are cushiony and soft and work great for short trips down the driveway. The exterior always holds up well. I have very finicky feet, (bunyons and a hx of a broken metatarsal, surgery, ouch) and these slippers just work for me. I'm also a women's size 11, and buy the men's version. Love them. Especially the chocolate brown ones, which are a rich and satisfying color. Wicked awesome.

These are very nice slippers and I'm glad I bought them. If you are considering keep in mind that the shearling lining makes for a snug fit especially in the beginning. The laces can be loosened to help. My only problem with these is the sizing tag in both slippers that is positioned right below the instep. As the lining compacts this tag becomes more exposed and chafes against my feet. I'll probably end up cutting it off but it would be nice if it was positioned elsewhere by design.

I have wide feet and I am between sizes 9/10. So, I ordered up a size. The width is almost perfect. It is slightly longer than would be comfortable for picking up your step and hurrying along. I should've tried on the 9 wide, maybe. Of course, who plans on running in these? Well, me.
If I find a good pair of slippers I will wear them everywhere, far beyond the "short jaunt to the corner store" which always shows up in the copy for sturdy slippers. Which is to say, I use the slippers beyond their intended use (and no, I don't want to switch to driving loafers or other slipper-ish shoes).
Given these elevated standards, I don't quite have what I want, but these are by far the best slippers i've found. By whatever quirk of the combination of my anatomy and the fur lining; my left pinky toes occasionaly curl up and rub up to my other digits.

Fit was good, half sizes go to next size. Delivery arrived ahead of schedule. Pleasant surprise.

First off, I absolutely love the way these feel on my feet. They are very soft and very warm and feel like walking on a cloud. The only problem, and the reason I deducted a star, is that they are too wide in the instep area. If they were about a half-inch to an inch narrower there I would give them 5 stars.

Absolutely love the slippers...inside, outside, and sole. Wear them both indoors and outdoors to the mailbox and even running around town in the winter! very warm and comfy. Only one question, my feet tend to sweat a bit, and the soft lining becomes a bit black and hardened. Can the inside be cleaned? I would never wear socks with these slippers.

I have used these moccasins for years. When the eventuallly wear out (after several years), i just buy another pair. Very comfortable and I love the sole that allows you to walk outside in them.
My only complaint is that the leather string will not stay tied and I have to retie them every day or so.
By the way, in my opinion, LL Bean is the greatest! Great quality items, fair prices, and they stand behind every item they sell. I have never had a problem of any kind with LLBean. Thank you LLBean!!

I love these. The fit is excellent and it is so handy to have a house slipper that I can wear outside on occasion.
I buy a pair about every year, maybe 2 in 3 years.
They don't wear out, but the fleece lining does wear down.
I didn't give them 5 stars only because the fleece liner doesn't seem to be replaceable. I have 2 older pair with nothing else wrong with them, but I don't quite have the chutzpah to return them for that reason alone; I just keep the others for backup.
I wish they would offer a refurbishing service.
I'll buy them again when I need to and definitely recommend them to my friends.

My husband shattered his hip several weeks ago. Quadruple break, 76 year old man with Parkinson's and apparently some osteoporosis. After a week in the hospital he was transferred to a nursing/rehab facility for therapy. He had the beginnings of pressure sores on the heels of both feet when he left the hospital (in spite of being in ICU) and during the next week and a half the heel on the fractured leg progressed to a stage two sore. The wound nurse was trying to keep it covered, but my husband, who slept for the first two weeks, would thrash and sheer his heels against the mattress, aggravating the spots and peeling off the bandages. At one point the wound nurse told me she thought the left foot was beginning to progress as well. That was when it occurred to me that John had a brand new pair of LL Bean sheepskin slippers at home. I'd given them to him as a Christmas present several years ago but he just never wears slippers. Anyway--I got them and put them on his feet--had him wear them ALL the time--even in bed--over the weekend. By Monday the left heel looked almost healed--redness much reduced. The wound nurse was so impressed she took the dressing off of the bad heel and suggested we just let him wear the slipper and let the wound, which looked like a bad scrape on his heel, dry out. By the next day it looked much improved. It was dry, forming a scab, and not showing the redness and abrasion that had been formerly present. We have continued this practice and his heels are just about healed. I am giving the slippers 4 stars because they seem to have changed the style a bit. The ones my husband has have a fold up external piece on the heel that shows some exposed shearling. I feel that this older design, with its double padding, was very beneficial in relieving the pressure on his heels. I was going to order a second pair, but since the design has changed I may wait to see if we actually need them. The rubber soles have enabled him to wear them to walk in the wheelchair, a beginning exercise for all hip fracture patients to help them regain the strength in their legs.

These moccasins are comfortable and durable. The fur on the inside holds up well, and the rubber bottom is great for wearing outside/over rough surfaces. The weak spot with this product are the laces- they keep coming undone, are a bit short, and do not actually tighten the moccasin around your foot. Still, props to LLBean for making the how-to video for tying a seaman's knot. Despite the laces, I still recommend.

Beans nailed this item, it is so comfortable and easy to wear. I even wear these when flying back to Maine since they keep my feet warm and comfortable when I get off the plane in Portland!
I hate giving these 4 stars (I would give it a 4.5 if they allowed). But... the shoelaces!! I have tied these 100s of times and they do not stay tied. Ever. In fact, the shoelaces are just for looks; they provide no tightening at all on my slippers.
Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. It is NOT worth giving these a 1-3 star just cause of the shoelaces. This is a premium product. Don't listen to the negative reviewers. **The laces are so short that even if they unravel you can still walk in them; they just don't look as nice.**

I've had these long enough now I figure I can attest to their longevity. I got a pair as a gift two years ago and have worn them a lot around the house in the colder months and even around camp in the warmer months. They run a little on the big side. I'm a size 14 in just about everything else but I think I could have gotten away with a 13 in these for wearing without socks. But since I almost always pair these with some cushy boot socks size 14 worked out for me. They have held up very well despite wearing them indoors and out, and even occasional quick trips out in public (yep, I'm THAT guy). They look fine with jeans and since I got the brown ones nobody really notices them. If I have one complaint, its that the tongue on one of them curls up and the other one doesn't. It doesn't affect comfort, it just looks a little funny. But overall, they are wicked comfortable, well made, and I would definitely reccomend them to a friend.

I bought a pair of the men's wide Wicked Good Moccasins. Very comfortable. Very warm. I hated to get out of them. Unfortunately, the fur in the left shoe wore through in three spots under the heel. I notice it when socks started to get brown stains on them from the glue under the fur. Then I felt bunching under the toes for that same shoe. The other shoe does not have these problems. I think that I may have a bad pelt in the left shoe. I love the fit and feel but don't like the quality of the bad shoe. Trying to decide whether to order them again.

The fur in the inside does not comform to my feet very well on left slipper. Otherwise I love these slippers. The fur seem to come up between the big toe and the second toe. If I can get the fur inside to lay down right , these slippers are wellworth the money.!!!

Love these slippers keep you feet real warm. The only problem I have is the soles are hard and that makes them very slippery on tile and hardwood floors.

I purchased these while shopping for a pair of Bean Boots. Perfect for slumming around the house on a cold winters day. I wish they had a half size, but it's not a deal breaker. Buy these without regret.

Tip: If you're a half-size, order down.
The look of this winter moc is fantastic. It's getting more difficult to find simple and traditional vintage designs like this. It's timeless and certainly preppy.
I rate the look 4 stars.
I rate the quality a strong 3 stars; it's decent and well made, nothing too special. Being made overseas the quality may vary, I may have gotten lucky. Solid mid-range quality overall and thus more than fairly priced.
L.L. Bean should consider releasing American-made versions of their classic items; "Heritage editions", if you like. I'd happily pay the (understandably) higher price.
They did a good job on these moccasins, I like them and I think you will too.

I have been buying these for years and like them a lot over others I have purchased. Yes the shearling does seem to wear quite fast.... at least at times I think so. But I wear them hard. The last couple of pairs have torn around the sole. I assume from thin leather. The last pair I sent back and they promptly replaced them and refunded the shipping. I see now they have added an extra strip of leather where the tearing was taking place. So far no problem with the new pair but have not worn them hard yet. But I am ordering another pair as back up just in case.

Hard sole and soft interior are just right.
Slightly narrow.
Not fond of ties will have to learn the seamans knot.
