I bought a pair of boots for my husband, they were great. His feet stayed warm and dry, even in deep and slushy snow. The supportive steel shank was an excellent feature, assuring that his feet did not hurt while wearing the boots. He had the boots for 4 years, they still looked new. Nothing seemed to daunt these boots, mud, ice, slushy snow....until the day that they met-up with our new puppy. The puppy laid low what nature at its worse could not conquer. Puppy chewed a big hole in the side of the boot and ate the interior quilted sock-like feature in the boors. Unfortunately, the superior Bean guarantee does not cover puppy damage. But, I have just ordered a new pair for the following winter. I can wholeheartedly recommend these boots, unless they encounter a puppy, you will have them forever.

These are the only cold weather boots my family buys. The most recent purchase was for my son. The boots are wonderful, that is always constant with LL Bean. What I was impressed with was that the order was processed and shipped within 24 hours of me placing the order!

I normally wear a medium shoe, but the medium boots were a little tight. Exhanged for wide and the fit is great with heavy LL Bean wool socks.

I've owned boots in my time, but never a pair like this. A friend talked me in to trying a pair and boy, he was right about fit, comfort and warmth. They're easy to climb in too, not that we have that much climbing to do in FL. We do have wet areas though and these boots work as advertised. Thanks and a tip of the hunting cap to LL Bean and my hunting friend.

I love the boots; American made, light weight, warm, waterproof and will always be in style. Finding the correct size in the Gortex lined Bean Boots should not be difficult. I wear a 9D in Allen-Edmonds 65 last (Park Avenue, Strand, Cambridge) and 9D in Alden's Van last (LHS). In Sperry Top-Siders' or Clark Desert boots I wear 9 medium. I ordered these LL Bean Boots in size 8 medium and exchanged them for the size 9 medium. The 9 with standard dress or cotton socks fit perfectly, no break in required. Just order your true dress shoe size, it worked for me.

What a great pair of boots, and it is Made in the USA. I am totally pleased.

These boots have been around forever. I think Moses even had a pair or two. The 8" Gore Tex/Thinsulate are light weight, warm and comfortable. I have another pair unlined, 6" for spring weather, which are alos very comfortable. Good job!

This was my first pair, and I can never be more satisfied. I was amazed by the construction of these boots. They are second to none! Beans sizing guide was right on the money and they are very comfortable. I wore them once just to break them in and my feet were actually sweating! Bring on the blizzard!

We bought these for our grandson's birthday.....he put them on and I don't think he has taken them off! He was very excited and thrilled with them.

I bought these boots for my husband as a gift. I choose the size based on LL Bean's recommendations. They fit perfectly. He was thrilled with the gift and is anxious to try them out.

They are comfortable, warm and keep my feet dry. Perfect for rain, snow or cold weather.

I ordered these for my boyfriend for Christmas, but they were back ordered to February. We actually received them in January. Since he has PAD, the boots are just what he needs to keep his feet warm and they do. The suggested sizing was right on the money as well.

We chose these boots because they were made in the USA. We know Bean quality well, but once we learned these were made in the USA we didn't even bother exploring products from other stores. Once we received them, we were even happier with our decision - great construction, excellent fit, and (after this weekend's storm) strong performance. We are so excited that LL Bean is making quality products in the US again - more, please! (PS, my wife then bought the shearling-lined women's version ...and loves them)

I bought these based on the reviews. I live in Seattle where it rains quite a bit in the winter season. So far I have been very impressed with how puddles, rain, the snow we got today, doesn't even matter! My feet have been dry and comfy! I am really impressed with the quality of the boot, you can tell it is high quality materials. After I bought these boots the Seattle Times published a story of how these boots are making big comeback! There is a reason for this! They are great! Buy them and you will be as happy as I am!

I absolutely love these boots. Its been raining lately and ll bean boots have been wonderful in keeping my feet dry and warm. These boots would be highly recommend above everything else especially in bad weather and terrain.

This is a purchase I regret NOT making 10 years ago! These boots are ideal. Even in Alabama where the cold is moderate, the boots are the best and suitable for both cold and wet environments.

this was a purchase for my California winemaker son. He said it is the first boot that has ever kept his feet dry while working in a very wet environment at the wine cellar.

First encountered the LLBean Boot worn by students at the University of Iowa as a freshman many years ago. Everyone I asked back then swore by their comfort, practicality and durability. I didn't bite. 20 years later, living in fog city, (San Francisco) finally decided to buy a pair. All I can say is WOW ...what took me so long! The fit is awesome, the comfort when walking is awesome, the grip on multiple wet surfaces has been awesome (knock on wood), the support is awesome, and above all else, the practicality and value for the money is first rate. I've spent a lot more on numerous boots trying to find that perfect balance between need, practicality, quality, and value. I could have saved my self hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the years and just bought the LLBean Boot. You have a new fan.

I am glad I went to the Bean store in Yonkers and listened to the salesman there. He reccomended a size smaller then I normally wear. They did not carry the boot that I wanted so I ordered on line and ordered a full size smaller and they fit just right.

I've used them in the field and around town for 10+ years so I finally wore the sole through along with some cactus punctures. I returned them to Bean for re-sole and received them much earlier than promised with brand new soles, new insoles, new laces and a great fit! My "go to" boots are ready for another 10+ years of use!

I'm a Michigan man, so I'm used to terrible winters. I ordered my Bean Boots in the fall, in order to avoid any backorder, and I was thankful, because we just got hit with a pretty large snow fall last night. I went out and shoveled my driveway at midnight last night, and while the snow came down, soaking my face and jacket, my Bean Boots kept me warm and toasty. I definitely recommend the Gore-Tex/Thinsulate lining in super cold conditions. Definitely definitely definitely size down. I usually wear an 11 in everything and the 10 in these fit like a charm.

I am replacing a similar pair, that I have fished, and have been outside for the past ten years from the fall through the spring. And, I have never gotten a wet, or cold foot once. The old ones took a beating, and just believe I might need a new pair for this winter fishing. But, the old ones will still be used! Great boot!

I was born with a bad set of paws. In my working years, I spent all day on my feet working on concrete floors. They finally needed corrective bone and tendon surgeries, and, though successful, comfort was hard to come by. But these Gortex lined boots are wonderful.
