Very well built boots, very happy with them, although they definitely run narrow. My foot is narrow to begin with, but the boots were tight around the middle. I decided to keep them anyway and decided that the tightness was intentional to keep the boot snug and secure. Well worth the wait.

I got these for my son for a Christmas gift. He says they are the best boots or shoes he has ever worn. After all the nice dress shoes he has had, all the pricey running shoes, he says these boots are the best and his favorite. That says it all to me.

Durable, warm, perfect. Runs a bit large so needed to return and get one size smaller. Took a bit for re delivery but worth the wait

These are the best boots for the money. Make sure to go with the sizing charts provided by LLBean because the sizes run large. I wear a 9 on every pair of shoes that I own, but the size 8 Bean Boots are the only ones that fit me. These boots are super comfortable and very rugged.

Out of the box, used them to clear snow from a three car driveway and 100 feet of sidewalk. Great fit, comfortable temperature control, good grip.

I purchased these boots for my son as a Christmas present. I knew that they are always on back order, so I placed my order early - like the first week of November. Guess what!? I was STILL not going to receive them until the 8th of February. Well, good enough. Son attends college in the cold snowy mountains, and his semester wouldn't start until the last week of January. Well, he arrived back at college, and the boots were there waiting for him in the mail room. Two week ahead of schedule! Since receiving the boots, son wears them every day. They are warm and waterproof when he is outside waking to class, but still very comfortable when he is sitting in his classrooms or walking around inside a building. And they look fantastic. Very well made. He is very happy with the boots, and so am I. (He has the Thinsulate AND Goretek boots.) I highly recommend the boots, and the great customer service from LL Bean. But DO order early. Very early.

The boots are warm and dry and fit better than any boot I've owned in the past. It was worth the wait of 2 months to finally get the boots. I also own the four inch gore -tex, thinsulate boot that convinced me to order the 8 inch boot. I am now set for any storm!

MY HUSBAND KEPT GETTING COMPRESSION ULCERS ON HIS BIG TOES.WE COULD NOT FIND ANY BOOTS TO KEEP OUT THE COLD AND WET RAIN OR SNOW. FINALLY!!! THESE BOOTS ARE WONDERFUL!! THEY KEEP OUT EVERYTHING SO WELL HE NOW WEARS THIN SOCKS TO KEEP FROM SWEATING.NOW THAT WE FOUND THIS GREAT BOOT, WE ARE ORDERING ANOTHER PAIR.

First off, I'd like to think Kathy who worked on the boot. She did an excellent job. As for the boot, the fit was large as explained. I usually wear a 9.5 for boots and dropped to an 8 for these. That worked out as expected. Now, I normally get a narrow fit but went for the medium width for these because they were available. Turns out the medium is just right on my feet. Could be because of the thinsulate, so I can't speak for the regular design. They arrived a day before the current big storm (Bought them on a Weds, arrived on Friday) and these boots kept me warm and dry through all the snow. Would not only recommend these boots, but would also buy another pair for a loved one. Well done, L.L. Bean.

My boyfriend ordered these for me in early November as a Christmas present. The women's boots were on back-order until March, so we did some researching and found out there were very few, if any, differences between the men's and women's boots - so we ordered the men's boots! The men's weren't back-ordered so we got them in time for Christmas! I wear a women's 10, so we got a men's 8. They fit perfectly. They're so comfortable, warm, and practical. Not only do they keep my feet warm and dry but they also look pretty cute :)

On the day I received my first pair of Bean boots, we were in the middle of a pretty good snow event here in North Dakota. I wore them to work without a change of shoes, and they were comfortable all day long. They were warm and dry outside, and even worked well in the office. They weren't overly hot and had good breathability, So it turned out, my Bean boots were all I needed that day. I now look forward to snowy days, almost as much as I look forward to wearing my Bean boots!

These boots are wonderful. I am very glad that I read the customer reviews about sizing. All the extra stuff inside these boots makes them run a little bit truer to size. I ordered a half size down, and with a good thick pair of socks, they fit perfectly.

Wonderful boots, I like thick socks with my boots so ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. My best advice is not to order a size down. You always want to wear thick socks with your boots. They are beautifully made and will last a lifetime. Everybody needs a pair of these.

My son loves these boots. He got the ones that are are lined and says they are really comfortable!

Let me start with the fact that I love these boots, they quality is extremely good. and the price I paid was Fantastic for the quality. they keep my feet warm and dry, while not being too warm. the construction is top notch.

After debating between the regular Bean Boots or the Gore-tex I decided to go with the Gore-Tex simply because I could get them much faster. I typically wear an 11-11.5 regular in sneakers, loafers, and other boots. Many of the conflicting reviews made it difficult to pinpoint my size. I decided to size down and buy a 10 but I got a wide to provide more room. They still fit a little big, but it gives me room to layer up socks. I have probably 2-2.5 thumb lengths from my toe to the end of the boot. Overall I would buy the same size again.

The Bean boot has been a staple in my wardrobe for as long as I can remember... and you only ever need one pair. I'm buying them for my kids now that their feet have stopped growing. My only wish is that LL Bean made more of them!

Through the process of ordering, returning, and exchanging, I've now owned all three styles of boots at one point or another. I recently just upgraded to the Gore-Tex lining. Here are my points: 1. The regular boot without a lining isn't very warm at all. Even with wool socks, it gets very cold. It would probably be great for rainy seasons, but it won't provide any warmth. 2. The boots run very large. I wear a 12.5 running sneakers. I ordered an 11 in the regular boots, and they were GIGANTIC. I maybe had two inches of extra room. If you wear a half size and are ordering the regular boots, you may want to consider going the next two whole sizes down. I then returned them for the thinsulate size 11. These were yet still too big. I was going to give up until I tried the gore-tex. Because of all the lining, i think it filled the shoe out. They are still a little too big, but I can deal with it. 3. If you wear a half size, chances are you are going to have to choose between a boot that is too small or too large. 4. The thinsulate doesn't cover the leather, it only covers the rubber bottom. 5. The gore-tex is great. 6. These boots are made of leather and rubber. Yes, they are great quality, but they don't exactly mold to your feet. Nonetheless, they are comfortable. 7. I'm very glad and proud I own these gore-tex boots despite the loose fit.

I love the look of these boots they are comfortable and are perfect for living in Alaska.

I bought these boots for my husband I purchased a men's 11 regular. The length was perfect and the width was perfect. My husband is impressed with how warm they are. They kept his feet dry and toes warm. The snow that New Jersey and the New York Catskill Mountains receives has been a good test of the durability of the boots and when it is winter my husband wears them for just mucking around and loves them. LL Bean's these are wonderful boots!

Just picked up a pair of these classic boots. I wear a size 11 and ordered the same size, medium width. A pair of thicker socks will make this a perfect fit. Plan on using these for most everyday outdoor uses. These were exchanged for a pair of the pull on Bean boots that I was having a problem with. You can't beat LL Bean for quality and an amazing guaranty.
